UNIT 2: CLOTHING ITEMS
I. OBJECTIVES
1.1 Language Knowledge & Skills
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
Name basic clothing items: shirt, pants, skirt, jacket, shoes, boots,
watch, ring.
Use key sentence structures:
o He’s/She’s wearing...
o I’m wearing...
o What is he/she wearing?
1.2 Competences
Develop speaking and reading skills through pair and group activities.
Enhance observation and matching skills using visual-text interaction.
1.3 Attributes
Build confidence in describing outfits and expressing personal style.
II. TEACHING AIDS AND MATERIALS
Teacher’s aids: Hang Out 1 Student Book, flashcards, projector/audio, realia
(clothing items), worksheets, bear illustration template.
Students’ aids: Student book, notebooks, coloring tools, activity sheet.
III. PROCEDURES
A. Warm-up (10 minutes)
Objectives: Activate students’ background knowledge and connect with the
theme.
Contents: Open-ended questions with realia or visuals.
Expected outcomes: Students identify and describe what they’re wearing.
