1. PURPOSE
To lay down a procedure for operation of Uninterrupted Power Supply UPS.
2. SCOPE
This procedure is applicable for operation and performance of UPS.

5. RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintenance In-Charge / Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Operator
shall be responsible for ensuring Standard Operating Procedure is followed
6. PRINCIPLE
The main principle of UPS SOP to shut down and maintenance and restart the UPS.

7. PREPARATION
Machine and men safety purpose we are need to follow the SOP.
8. PROCEDURE
STARTING PROCEDURE:
Switch “On” the mains.
Check the Volts supply.
Close the input isolators. Wait for the rectifier LED (Light Emitting Diode) to turn ON.
Close the bypass isolator.
Turn selector switch to ON/ RUN position.
Ensure that Inverter & Rectifier LED is turned ON.
Close the battery isolator.
8.2 STOPPING PROCEDURE:
Switch selector switch from ON/ RUN position to OFF/ STAND By position.
8.2.2 Open out input isolator. Wait for the input LED to switch OFF.
8.2.3 Open out battery and bypass isolator.
8.2.4 Switch “Off” the main supply.

9. QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
Check and ensure that all the cables are properly insulated.
Check the Equipment Calibration, Uncertainty and Validity before use.
10. OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
Wear PPE and wear hand gloves while attending preventive maintenance.
11. ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
keeps the used hand gloves separately in the identified bins.
E-waste kept separately in the identified bins.
Before handover the machine to production clean the surrounding areas of machine.
12. OUTPUT
Performance of manufacturing machinery meets as per product manual.
