At the end of the lesson, the pupils should be able to:
1. Identify who or what in the sentence, the action being done, and when/where/how it
is done.
2. Arrange jumbled words to form meaningful and simple sentences.
3. Apply correct capitalization at the beginning of a sentence and proper punctuation at
the end.

B. Motivation
Show a picture of children doing activities in different places.

o What are they doing?
o Where are they doing it?
Tell pupils: “Today we will learn how to find the important parts of a sentence,
arrange words correctly, and use proper capitalization and punctuation.”

1. Presentation
Write this sentence on the board:

Identify sentence parts together:

Example:

4. Capitalization and Punctuation
Rule:
o Begin a sentence with a capital letter.
o End a telling sentence with a period (.), a question with a question mark (?),
and an exclamation with an exclamation point (!).
