Q) What does innovation mean to you?


A) From what I learnt while doing, Innovation is all about finding creative and profitable
solution(s) to an already existing problem one can cash upon which is extracted from the
original work of the person, team or organization working.

Q) What do I expect from this course?


A) How to keep every influential person or working person right from CEO of the company to
the regular employee keep up with the company's goals in conceptualizing new product ideas
or approach the existing ideas in creative ways. Also, there is a need to build a collaborative
working environment where ideas can be captured in all levels of employment.
I expect to learn the above process in this course.

Q) What do you understand by the video? [Link]


A) There are unseen problems and those when questioned for solution give rise to a product or
idea that makes the present one old and the new one a new normal.

 Skills to identify, evaluate, and resolve a variety of issues relating to poor innovative
performance in large firms as well as entrepreneurial firms

Module 4 – Renewal Phase
 How Innovation is used to renew the Company strategy and presence in Industry

 Open Innovation Model

Rules of Engagement
 Course engagement includes individual and group participation
o On time Attendance
o Keep your mic muted unless you want to talk; Use the Chat – box for raising
questions, if not able to Unmute
 Reading Assignment
o Some articles for reading will be given – to be read before the class
o Subsequent class, the articles will be discussed, active participation will be
expected
 Some students may be read up and lead the discussion in class
 Course Primarily (70%) through discussions and analysing in groups

Group Formation – for Case – study


 Approximately 2 – 4 people in each group - to be finalized by Session – 3 (END January)
 Can start forming groups – share group details in a form to be created in Ms Teams
