THE CREED

Definition

The Creed is a compilation of our faith, it is a living testimony of all the


teachings of the Church. Traditionally we know that it was composed by the
apostles, although it has received some variations to expand it further. The Creed
It consists of three main parts that teach us about God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Holy Spirit. The lived Creed is the great gift of our faith, we believe by overcoming.
the human reason everything that God has revealed to us, we believe truths that only
they can be encompassed when we trust in Him. We trust in the Church because
Christ founded it and promised to be with it until the end of time.

Sentence

I believe in one God,


Almighty Father,
Creator of heaven and earth,
of all that is visible and invisible.
I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ,
Only begotten Son of God,
born of the Father before all ages
God of God, Light of Light,
True God from True God,
begotten, not made,
of the same nature as the Father,
through whom all things were made;
that for us men, he came down from heaven,
and by the work of the Holy Spirit,
he was incarnated by the Virgin Mary, and became man;
and for our sake he was crucified,
in the times of Pontius Pilate,
he suffered and was buried,
and he rose on the third day, according to the Scriptures,
and ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father;
and he will come again in glory
to judge the living and the dead,
and his kingdom will have no end.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, Lord and giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son
that with the Father and the Son
receives the same worship and glory,
and spoke through the prophets.
I believe in the Church,
what is one, holy, catholic, and apostolic.
I confess that there is only one baptism.

I believe in one God the Father, Almighty, Creator of Heaven and


earth, of all that is visible and invisible,
I believe that there is a God who has created me and the whole universe.
I acknowledge that He is full of power, Wisdom, and Love; He is the author of everything.

I believe in the third person of the Holy Trinity, Who has made us

I believe in the Church, which is one, holy, catholic, and apostolic.
I believe that Jesus founded His Church on Peter the rock, and that this Church still

I believe that all sins committed, except those committed against
of the Holy Spirit can be forgiven because Jesus is the Lamb of God
who takes away the sins of the world.
I believe in the power of forgiving sins given by Christ to the Apostles and
continued by apostolic succession to all the Priests, in the Sacrament of
the Penance where we are reconciled with God.
I hope for the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world.
I believe in the Words of Christ Who said 'I will raise you up on the last day.' I
I believe in His promises of eternal life.
