LAYING ON OF HANDS
Bishop:
Dearest brothers,
Let us pray to God the Almighty Father,
And let us ask Him to abundantly pour out the Holy Spirit.
About all his adoptive children,
Those who have been reborn to eternal life through Baptism:
The same Holy Spirit
I confirmed them with the abundance of your gifts.
And comforted with this anointing,
I perfected them in their configuration.
To Christ, Son of God.
Everyone prays in silence for a few moments.
The bishop and the priests who are to assist him in the anointing lay their hands on.
about all the confirmands, while the bishop, alone, says:
Almighty God,
Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
What you have given our life
Of water and the Holy Spirit
To these children of yours,
Delivering them from sin.
Send now about them
The Holy Spirit Paraclete;
Grant them a spirit of wisdom and understanding,
Spirit of counsel and of strength,
Spirit of science and piety
And fill them with the spirit of your fear.

For Christ Our Lord.

All:Amen
ANOINTING WITH THE HOLY CHRISM

Commentator: The chrismation makes Christians a chosen race, a holy nation,

royal priesthood (1Pe 2:9)

With the laying on of hands and the anointing, the confirmed receives the gifts and
charisms of the Holy Spirit that identify Him with Christ as prophet, priest, and King.
The acolyte presents the holy chrism to the bishop. Each confirmand approaches the bishop.
Godfather or godmother places their right hand on the shoulder.

The bishop dips his right thumb in the chrism and traces the sign of the cross on the forehead of the
confirming, and lays his hand on his head while saying these words:

N.N receives by this sign the gift of the Holy Spirit.

The confirmand responds: Amen.

Then the Bishop adds: Peace be with you

The confirmant responds: And with your spirit.

After the anointing, the Bishop washes his hands.

Prayer of the Faithful

Bishop: Let us pray brothers to the Father who has freed us from the domain of the
darkness and has transferred us to the Kingdom of His Son, so that these children who have
confirmed the outpouring of the Holy Spirit may they remain strengthened in faith,
cemented in charity and with their lives bear witness to the Lord Jesus, saying:

We beg you, hear us.

All: We beseech you, hear us.

For the bishops, priests, and deacons, that, with the help of the Holy Spirit,
continue your mission to be good workers of the kingdom of God so that everyone

OFFERING PROCESSION
Bread: We offer you, Lord, this bread, made from a multitude of grains of wheat to

help see what represents Christians forming one body and one mind
church.

We present this light as a symbol of your presence in our life for

that you help us see the path you want us to follow so we can understand
What things identify us as true Christians and which do not.

MARKET: We offer you, Sir, this market in gratitude for the

food that you place on our tables every day for those who do not have it

they provide some of this on their tables.

Holy Spirit, receive today the seal that identifies you as Catholic Christians, to
that you may be the one to help them put those gifts and fruits at the service of your Church
what they have received from you.

LITURGY OF THE EUCHARIST

Commentator: The Church lives from the Eucharist. This truth expresses not only
a daily experience of faith, but rather encompasses in synthesis the core of the mystery
from the Church: It joyfully experiences how it is continuously being realized,
multiple forms, the promise of the Lord: << Behold, I am with you
every day until the end of time>> Mt 28, 20.

OFFERING CHANT
RITE OF COMMUNION

PRAYER OF SPIRITUAL COMMUNION

I believe, my Jesus, that you are truly present in the Most Blessed Sacrament of
Altar
I love you above all things and I wish to welcome you into my soul.

But since I can't receive you sacramentally now,

Come, at least spiritually to my heart.

(Brief pause to meditate)

As if I had already received you,

I hug you and I unite everything to you,

Do not allow, Lord,

May I never be separated from you.

Amen.

PRAYER TO SAY AFTER COMMUNION

Soul of Christ, sanctify me,

Body of Christ, save me,

Blood of Christ, intoxicate me,

Water from the side of Christ, wash me,

Passion of Christ, comfort me,

Oh, my good Jesus, hear me.

Hide me within your wounds,

Do not let me stray away from you,

From the wicked enemy, defend me,

At the hour of my death, call me,

And send me to you,

So that with your saints, I may praise you and bless you,

Forever and ever.

Amen.

Thanksgiving
A young man:

We thank you, Lord, for your generous giving at the table of life, for
we who have received the sacrament of confirmation, for whom we
they accompany in this process of faith, for the calling to be faithful to your word and
constants in the service to the brothers. Thank you Father, for our families,
who welcome us and instruct us in your commandments, because with your Holy Spirit we
gives enough strength to continue being witnesses of your presence in
our lives.

WE GIVE YOU THANKS, LORD!

PRAYER TO THE HOLY SPIRIT

Come, Divine Spirit, send your light from heaven.

Loving father of the poor, Lord, in your splendid gifts.
Light that penetrates souls, source of the greatest comfort.

Come, Sweet Guest of the soul, rest of our effort,

truce in the hard work, breeze in the hours of fire,
joy that dries tears and comforts in mourning.

Enter deep into the soul, Divine Light, and enrich us.
Look at the emptiness of man if you are lacking from within;
Look at the power of sin, if you do not send your breath.

Water the land in drought, heal the sick heart.

Washes the stains, infuses life-giving warmth into the ice,
tame the indomitable spirit, guide the one who deviates from the path.

Distribute your seven gifts according to the faith of your servants.

For your goodness and your grace, give merit to the effort;
save the one who seeks to be saved and grant us your eternal joy.
Amen.
Prayer after communion.

Merciful Father,

Accompany with your blessing

To those who have been anointed with the Holy Spirit

And fed with the sacrament of your Son,

So that all difficulties are overcome,

Make your Church rejoice with the holiness of your life

And spread it all over the world

For their effective charity.

Through Jesus Christ our Lord.
