previously placed, evenly overlapping in each pass of the footprint coming from
of the rear roller by one half of the same roller. Each pass of the roller will cover up to
that the area of each complete layer has been compacted by the rear roller.
compaction will continue until the aggregates are completely set, the
interstices reduced to a minimum until the lifting of material in front of the roller
no sea visible. The roller will also continue until the base material has been
compressed to no less than 95% of the maximum density obtained by the AASHTO T- method
180.

The material will not be rolled when soft areas are detected in the immediate lower layer.
or when the rolling causes ripples in the base layer. When rolling causes
irregularities that exceed 1 cm, timely verified, the irregular surface will be
scooped and filled with the same type of material used in construction of the
base coat and kneeled again, until achieving its uniformity with the rest of the base.

The irrigation during the rolling, if necessary, will be carried out in the quantity and with the equipment
approved by the Site Supervisor, the verification of the degree of compaction will be through
from a laboratory essay comparing in situ density with the density from the test
Proctor indicated in the Technical Specifications document.

CONTROL OF THE FINISHED SURFACE.-After the sub-base layer has been

completely compacted, the uniformity of the surface will be verified and the
accuracy of slopes and pumping. Any portion that lacks uniformity
required or not comply precisely with the slopes or pumping, it will be scarified,
reconformed and compacted or otherwise corrected according to the indications of the
Supervisor, until the required uniformity and accuracy are achieved.

FINAL LEVELING.- In the presence of the Work Supervisor, the verification will proceed.
