MEDITATION ON THE WORD
Why meditate:
Meditation on the word of God is essential.
for us, for it is the weapon of the Spirit (Eph. 06:17).
The spirit of man is the faculty that confirms being
the scriptures the word of God. (This is only possible if the
individual received the Holy Spirit of God in his
spirit). A person who is born again knows that the
the word of God is true. This means to assimilate
of God in your spirit
2. What is meditation?
Many people think that meditation is something related to
to a mental gymnastics, or something mystical coming from
influence of transcendental meditation, others
they think that meditation will become a study
analytical of the word, scientific method, etc, however
That's not it. It's a process that must be learned and

To digest, to feed on the word of God

It is the spiritual process of digesting the texts

active part in a person's life. The greatest
the benefit of meditation is its practical application

behavior in areas of weakness
To have communion with the God of the word
Take God's thoughts and reflect on them.

intimacy with God that must be developed

3. What is needed to meditate
Have the material (Bible, notebook, pen,
agreement and dictionary;
Quiet place with good conditions;
Choose short excerpts;
Read the text several times (Is.34:16);
Mark the time on the clock

5. How to meditate:
It is very important for us to have a preparatory time
as part of the meditation, where we prepare our
heart and our spirit and we remove all obstacles
placed by the devil.
Clean heart (Ps. 51:01; Ps. 24:03-06);
Humility (I Pd.05:05); Acknowledge that you do not know

insistently
I Rs. 19:11-12
The way God speaks and wants to speak is in a way
gentle and mild, with intimacy
When God wants to tell us something tremendous
important about our future and about Your kingdom, He
always speaks and confirms in many ways,
making your purpose very clear (Am. 3:07)
When we recognize that it is the voice of God we have
to hear her and obey her
TYPES OF EXISTING VOICES
1. The voice of Satan and demons (Mt.04)
For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
It brings confusion, taking away the peace from the heart
Disagreement with the Scriptures: it may even agree with
one verse or another, but does not agree with the
everything, with the moral ethics of the message
It brings the person a feeling of fear and
insecurity
Glorifies man, a denomination, or even
the work and not Jesus the Lord of the work
It brings arrogance and pride to man (James 4:6-7)
It is used as a "talisman" and not as the power.
of God (Ps. 91)
16
We always have to ask this question: "Is
"administering love, humility, unity?"
To resist the voice we have to:
•To submit ourselves to God and to submit to the word that
we received
We remain silent
If God answers that it is the voice of Satan and his
demons, then we will ask God to cover us
our life with Your blood and we will resist the Devil
(I Jo.03:08)
God will manifest to destroy the works of
Satan, in the name of Jesus, will be rebuked.
voice
2. The voice of the world (I John 2:15-17)
•System of this world: they are the values that govern the
world, such as:
Diploma of higher courses being a parameter of
evaluation of a leader anointed by God whether he is or not
spiritual and prepared to be in a leadership
etc. This system of values is also the opinion of
world about things.
To resist this voice, we must:
•Deny it, submitting to the lordship of God and in
silence waiting for God's answer
3.The voice of the flesh – of the ego, of the self (Prov. 03:05-06;
Fl.02:05; Is.55:08; 2 Corinthians 10:4-5
It is the sophisms and reasoning of the very 'self' that
they always try to speak louder than the voice of God
17
We have to seek the same thought as the
Lord, this will happen when we seek the
renewal of our mind (Rom. 12:01-02)
We have to deny our own 'self' and put ourselves
captives to the will of God
COUNCIL OF AUTHORITY AND PEOPLE OF
TRUST (Prov. 11:14)
Pastor or church leaders (Acts 11:01-18)
First council (Acts 15:1-3,5)
Proposals and masters (Acts 13:01-03)
People with more experiences than us, where the
love will be the means by which this person will use to
to exhort or comfort us, being used by God to
to speak to us (Prov. 20:18; Prov. 15:22)
Prayer companion, for spiritual intimacy
that unites us God can use it to speak to us about something
Spouse, this will also be used to have not only the
spiritual intimacy as it represents the person more
intimate of us after the Lord (II Co. 06:14-15)
Through the authority of the parents
The pastor consulted with the young man's father who
I wanted to be a pastor
PLANS AND GOALS FOR THE FUTURE
We need to get rid of this wrong idea, an idea
monastic, which is of no use to any of us
Romans 12:1-2
We have to believe that God, through our
relationship with Him, He keeps redoing,
renewing our mind and desires
18
Paul, the apostle had the desire to go to Rome and
God fulfilled this wish, but only
after many years and perhaps, who knows, of
way he had planned, but was, and God
has the pleasure of making us the best and if we are in
in tune with Him, this better can, very well be the
what we want, for when we delight in
God, He fulfills our desires.
INNER PEACE
Cl.03:15
This peace will be like a judge that will always be
showing the will of the Lord giving us a sign
with your withdrawal from inside our hearts
This peace surpasses all understanding (John 14:27)
It will be different from what the world gives.
We don't need to be frightened.
The ship that sank and a man lost his
family and God gave them much peace and a song of
victory (Sl.30:11)
The normal state of a Christian is to live in peace, regardless of
the circumstances ( John 16:33; Psalm 29:11; Proverbs 1:33;
Rm.08:06
CONFIRMATION
DREAM
It is the voice of the inner man desiring something repressed.
you have been desired for a long time.
Interpretation of dreams and visions:
19
Daniel spoke of God (Holy Spirit) as who
interpreted the vision.
The dream is from God - that is why the interpretation
it is also His
Many dreams are symbolic
c) Prayer Load – people in danger or in
difficult circumstances
d) Repetition of dream and vision - sometimes God emphasizes a
I dream often because it is important.
e) Slow action (way to highlight something)
f) Share the dream
Not every dream is meant to be revealed in public
Judgments of dreams and visions:
a) The accuracy of the revelation is not only in the content but
in the moral life of the person who received it. Rarely
God uses a dirty vessel (2 Timothy 2:21)
b) The result of the revelation led the person to feel
fear or led her to pray?
c) How does it compare with the scriptures? (Jer. 23:29)
d) The fruit of the revelation leaves the person confused,
with selfishness, etc., we must see if the person is
well with God
VISIONS (Acts 9:27; 10:19; 16:09-10; 23:11)
Rarely is a vision something isolated by God,
usually comes with a confirmation. Sometimes God
It gives a vision that is meant to be prayed first.
Do not share the vision / right time (Mt.17:09)
VISITATION OF ANGELS
Angels are ministers of God for us (Ps. 91:11;
Gl.01:08)
We must judge:
20
a) The content of the message - always receive the
message, but the message has to agree
with the Bible
b) Exhort the person to seek revelations from God -
What is the reaction we have when we receive the
message, perhaps inner peace will go away
(At.01:10; 05:19-20; 08:26; 12:01-09)
PROPHECIES
In 1900, the manifestation of the Holy Spirit occurred.
(many prophecies) Los Angeles: Baptist Church and in
1914 Assembly of God another movement
Then came the Lutheran and Presbyterian movement in
1960 with black influence (discern culture and the
manifestation of God.
a) God sometimes wants to convey messages through the
prophecy often confirms His will
through the prophets
b)Lc.02:21-40 – The prophet is a person just and
fearful of God
c) The message of the Prophet can be future; presence of
God, warning, consolation, promises
d) At. 13:01-03 – Prophecy: missionary leaving for the
ministry
Judgments of Prophets
a) Judge the message: do you agree with the Bible? - If yes
biblical, if there are no distortions, if it agrees with the whole
There will be no new doctrine (Is. 08:20;
Rm.15:04
b) Discernment of leaders (mature people in faith)
c) Is the fruit of prophecy peace or confusion? (Gal. 5:22-23)
21
Does it focus attention on the prophet or on God?
The false prophet does not lead the people to love
to God and yes, to glorify oneself
e) Do you agree with what God is saying to the church, in
in relation to other revelations already given by God?
Never feel intimidated to accept or not, a
prophecy without having God's confirmation first.
Judgment of the prophet:
a) What is the moral life of the prophet? Is it consistent with the
word of God? We need to know the prophet, his
life with God
b) The Life of the Prophet shows spiritual stability and
emotional? (Jd.12-13; II Pe.02:17)
c) Does this prophet submit to authority? (Jd.08)
d) Does he minister for his own pride? (Acts 20:19;
Dt.18:20)
e) Manipulates situations and people to fulfill their
revelations? (Jd.12)
f) Are your prophecies being fulfilled? (Dt.18:22;
Jr.28:09; Is.44:25-26)
g) Is the message conveyed in love? (Eph. 4:15)
LOUD VOICE
God spoke to Isaiah, Moses, but they listened.
in humility (Mt.03:17; Mc.01:11; Lc.03:22; Jo.12:20-
33)
Baptism of Jesus, God confirming something speaks to the
greek.
In Acts 9, Saul heard the voice of God (9:05-09)
a) It is consistent with the word of God
b) It cannot be the result of a search, but to wait

22
c) Many times it is confirmation of something He has already said
d) The moral life of the receiver. What is the fruit? A life more
Does purity and sanctification bring pride or lead to God?
CIRCUMSTANCES
They can be ambiguous.
God confirms through circumstances, but not
it is the main way.
b) At.10:24-48 – God speaking through baptism of
Spirit, however was not separated from the others
ways. Ex: Disease: question why God
allowed that situation, to ask God to
show why (I dared to call him Father)
At. 10 – Positive experience with baptism
Purchase of the land: did not consult the wife, prayed
but did not wait for God's answer, did not seek the
God's response in the greatest sources, even if the
favorable circumstances are important:
Wishing to pay the price is a requirement for the search.
c) Jr.09:23-24 – To boast in knowing God and not
boasting about worldly things (diplomas)
Superficial believers will not know God, nor
Your will. It takes an attitude of life and pursuit.
God does not speak only with one person but with one
body (lone knight) wanting to do everything
alone. It is necessary to share, to pray together. Ex:
House purchase. God speaks just before
happen, often, but the circumstances us
they often speak, so that we may act
precipitately and in other situations they us
they lift our spirits and do not let us be discouraged.
f) We must deal with the circumstances when we have
intimacy with God. God stops speaking when
there is no intimacy.

SIGNALS
Something supernatural, miracle, event
impossible (At.02:43; 03:01-26)
The sign was the healing, that's why Peter could preach with
authority At.04:30-31; 05:01-10; 06:08-10; 08:04-08;
14:01-07; 19:11.
a) At. 05:01-10 – Fear of the Lord. Ex.: Ananias and Sapphira,
ticket to go to New Zealand.
Danger: Follow the signs and not the Lord. Many
they want to know God's will through signs
without wanting to know God (like the signs of
traffic without knowing what the road is like
b) Music (Ex.:05:22; Hb.03:07-08)

LOVE OF GOD
FATHERLY HEART OF GOD
HOW DOES GOD FEEL ABOUT US?
He loves us, as a personal being, God also has
feelings, and what He feels for me is enthusiasm
we are precious in your eyes (Isaiah 62:04-)
05).
He declares his love to the world, and it rejects him...
the pain of rejection surpasses any physical pain, but it is
strong! )Jr.03:01-05; Pv.01:24).
WHY DID GOD CREATE MAN?
He created us in hope of giving and receiving reactions
of love. One does not have a child in the hope of dying
for him, but it's the price of love. In the trinity there is
tenderness, rejoicing, contentment, unity and love. And
This inspired the act of giving and receiving love. It does not
created us as just another cosmic game, in the war between
he is Satan. No! But, to give and pour love, we are
his workmanship. (Eph. 2:10). Our relationship with Him
is affected by our submission to standards and culture
human.
AREAS WHERE WE ARE INJURED NO
RELATIONSHIP WITH PARENTS
Parents are also wounded people (children
wounds).
25
Forgive them and do not judge them; they are just children
who had children.
They carry with them the heritage of their own
wounds of parents and grandparents.
God is the perfect Father-Mother - we use this expression
masculine Father, due to the limitation of language.
Family - Circle of adult relationships
male, and adult female relationship.
Connected by romantic love, and through this circle enters
a tiny and vulnerable being. For at least
two years of life, this little BEING can only receive,
is totally dependent on other adults. Before
learning a language we are cared for, nurtured.
THUS GOD CREATED THE FAMILY
A.Wounded areas: Parental authority, we have the
example of David struggling with his father.
Father's heart – If there is human kindness in your
one's own life, it is not human kindness the author of all
goodness is God. Since we were born, God us
pursue with love and tenderness. When we are hurt
For the father, the mental idea we have of God is: GOD
HARSH and FORMAL. Example: Hidden talents. One can
to be surprised by God when you approach Him with
trust.
B. Reflections of rejection or separation, baby:
Fear / Wound – God was present in the moment
in what you were abandoned, He wanted your parents to
gathered with FIDELITY, and suffered with you the pain of the
rejection. God uses the process of having children to us
26
transform. Ex.: From passion (Love) Jacob worked 14
years as if they were just a few days for love of Raquel. "A
grace to transform our character, is a
relationship of Love. God takes selfish young people and
transform your character by giving them children. The greatest of
all relationships are the relationship with
God. No other relationship can take the
place of relationship with God. One can have a
good marriage, and still not being happy, due to the lack of
relationship with God. He does not forget
His promises, which are: Yes and Amen. He is faithful!
It hurts in your heart when we don't trust him.
How we reciprocate is a reflection of how we accept the
impulses of God's love.
We belong to God as children.
Parents reprimand their children for the objects.
no way.
Don't touch that! Be careful with the dishes!
So the child meditates: Things are more
more important than I!!
But God does not act like that, He is pleased when
one of your children discovers the mud and gets all covered in it
admiring creation. God is generous, nature and the
creation they say that. An extravagant generosity.
God delights in fulfilling the desire of those who.
Let us remember. God remembers our pleasures: Food,
clothes, music and outings... And this He gives us
liberally. Sometimes we go through poverty while being
in the center of God's will, as Paul experienced,
but God uses this to teach things like:
compassion.
Trust him.
27
C.Attention of parents: (areas where we are hurt by
not receiving attention
God answers us in the relationship of attraction
mutual. The Bible says we are beautiful - And what motivated
God created us so beautifully? It is LOVE.
Before we were created, we already existed in the
His imagination. We are God's splendid creature,
our beauty is to be the first in the universe -
we are the apple of God's eye. The theologians for
to explain and meet the human being divides into three
parts: Body, soul, and spirit. But God is not a theologian,
He is God, and He sees us as a whole. Even our body
glorified, will have more or less the same appearance as
now. "We came out of the mind of God, from the center of His
to be, and not as a result of some experiment.
Our beauty is unique.
Affect of God
Your affection is pure. Jesus loved the children, and did not
felt uncomfortable or disturbed by them (Mt.19:04).
Moses blessed Israel and said: "You will dwell
in the arms of God.
Correi Ton Boon said: Don't fight, rest -
security and trust in God's protection. He indeed
he loves us.
DETAILED LOVE
God knows all our details, He counts
to the hair on our heads. Wherever we go,
he surrounds us, caring for our
well-being.
28
AFFECTION OF PARENTS
Your father could never be perfect in his affection,
for he is human, no matter how Christian he is,
or your spiritual level. One day he will fail and you
disappoint. He is not like God. So in front of the
failure of your father, you face questions
How is the omnipresence of God? How is He
Can you always be present? E.g.: The vibrations of
reflections of a crystal are: nine billion times by
wait a second! Now! The crystal is just a creation of God,
therefore the vibrations of your senses and power
they exceed that, and in this time we are hit by the
your reflections. E.g.: Ps.19:01-06 describes the splendor and
excellence of creation. The sun walks through all the
the universe and nothing escapes its warmth. The sun is merely
another of God's works. The heat of God exceeds
to the heat and to the rays of the sun and the gentle rays of your
loves are more penetrating than the rays of the sun.
He is the Sun of Justice!! His omnipresence (one of
attributes of metaphysics) makes it always be with us,
His name is God with us. He longs for communion.
I know all the time. While we sleep,
He awaits our awakening, to speak and to be
I know. Our, has only a few memories of
our childhood (some portraits) but the memory
perfect of God, knows and remembers everything about us...
nothing escapes your perfect memory of a God
powerful. He remembers the wonderful moments
of success, which are like treasures, but also
remembers our tears and identifies with us.
God has the capacity to feel, He is a sensitive God.
In our moments of suffering, he suffers more than

that we. He loves us, and our pains hurt him
heart.
Acceptance of Parents
We live in a success-oriented society.
Since we were born, we are compared. We have to
to be beautiful, smart, we have to win, to gain.
Almost always in a comparison, we are hurt,
because we did not meet the expectations and demands
social situations;; and in this we are rejected. Those who suffer from this
pain of rejection? God!! He is present in this
moment, and feel your pain!!
But in the millennium we will be with Him, in a kingdom of
Perfect Love, without competitions or comparisons.
Men, animals, all together... and God longs for
these days. Us too!! In the meantime, let's

PRAISE AND WORSHIP
SEVEN KEYS TO BEING A WORSHIPPER
(John 4:23-24)
Born in Zion – It means to receive a
profound revelation about praise and worship,
radically changing our relationship with
God.
a) Zion is the dwelling place of God (Ps. 119; 84:07)
30
b) Place of praise and worship, of communion between
God and His people (Ps. 126; 132:03,05)
c) Place of salvation (Is.59:20)
d) Comparison between Zion and Sinai (Heb. 12:18-23)
Sinai - Only Moses could go.
Sion – All people can go
e) How to be born in Zion?
To thirst and hunger for God (Psalm 42:1-3; 63:1)
Seek God, spend time alone in worship
(John 7:37)
Be willing to change (Ps.115:08; II Cor.03:17-18)
Search for revelation of the Word of God about praise and
adoration
The example of Moses (Ex.33)
2) Life of prayer
It is the key to maintaining the presence of God in our
life
b) If we are not used to praying, we also do not
we are ready to know the power and presence of
God
c)As we are also priests (Ipe.02:09)
intercessors (Isaiah 58:12)
Sometimes we need to change our lifestyle to
better fulfill our responsibilities
Prophetic Anointing
a) Prophecy and music are connected in the scriptures (II
Rs.03:15
Prophetic unction is the key to the movement of the Spirit in
praise
c) In theA.T. there was a 'School of Prophets' (1 Kings 19:19-
20; II Rs.02:03-05)
We need to live our prophetic anointing
31
We need to be in the gap to prophesy,
search and desire
f) A prophecy serves to edify, admonish,
encourage, reprimand, guide and reveal
g) How to learn to prophesy?
One learns from the word of God (Col. 3:16; Ezek. 2:08;
Acts 10:09-10
Start prophesying without fear
We need to have faith that God wants to use us.
4) Knowledge of biblical understanding about
praise and worship (Col. 3:16; Ps. 119:11)
5) Life of obedience and full of faith
a) Praise and worship are commandments and at the same
time choice
b) Obedience is a sign of love for the Father (John 14:15,21)
c) Obedience is linked to the death of the 'self'
d) Faith is the fundamental key to the supernatural
(Mt. 17:20)
A broken heart
a) Breaking is a process by which everything
a Christian comes to truly recognize who he is,
and who God is. It is when God illuminates our life
with your light, glory, revelation... and we changed
It is the key to having the character of God instilled.
in us. We have come from the world to Christ, bringing
many brands, a distorted character of that which
God created so that we would have. It is necessary that
Let’s clear the house and only then He will be able to occupy
the space once occupied by our self. It is
as if we were clay pots and God the potter
(Jer. 18:4; 19:11)
32
c) If we allow ourselves to be broken by God, we will be
people He can trust with secrets, desires and
loads.
CONCLUSION
A worshiper is a person whom God seeks, above all.
of everything, to share your character, to divide your
intimacy, identifying oneself with Him. God seeks 'you'
and "I".

THE IMPORTANCE OF PRAYER
The word prayer, in itself, already indicates a
attitude of dynamism, action. Everything we do must
start with prayer, for it is our means of
communication with God, and He hears us and if any
When something goes wrong, we need to know why. Because God.
do not fail (I Ts.05:17; Lc.11:05-10; Tm.02:08; Sl.10:17)
PRAYER IS NOT:
A service of information for God
2-Process by which we try to know God and make the
that He does not want to do. A magic lamp to
draw God's attention (Mt.06:05-07)
A way to involve God in my plans.
prayer does not aim to avoid work and the
sacrifices that the evangelization of the world demands. A
prayer alone will not change the world, unless
Jesus would not have said GO (Mark 16:15)
PRAYER IS:
Prayer gives us the ability to carry out the work of
God forward and fill us with prayer for this.
2-An opportunity to minister to God.
3-A source of transformation to us (II Cor. 3:16-18)
4-A process by which we become involved in
his plans for us and for the world.
A process by which you become a door of
entry for the power of God, in this world.
WHAT WE CAN THROUGH PRAYER:
34
She changes adverse circumstances and transforms them
people around us including ourselves.
2-When we pray, we receive power, our lives
they begin to develop (Mt.07:07-08)
3-When we pray, we come to know God
We are awakened to know Him and
to get closer to Him and if we stop praying the
we forgot. Ex. Ana was barren, after she prayed she gave birth.
Samuel (1 Sm.1). Hezekiah was healed after
orou. (II Rs.20). Gideon was confused, but afterwards
that prayed had a new direction on what to do.
HOW WE SHOULD PRAY:
We need to have patience before God, and
perseverance, for Jesus taught us this (Luke 11:05-
10)
With confidence, knowing that He is our father, and has
interest in hearing us, and responding according to your
will.
JESUS OUR EXAMPLE OF PRAYER !!
Everything Jesus did was as a man (Mt.04:01-02;
Mc.01:36; Lc.06:12; Mt.06:09-13
FIVE TYPES OF PRAYERS:
Worship – To praise God, glorify Him and recognize
the person of God.
2)Thanksgiving – Praise to God for His deeds and
the works that you execute. For the things we receive
of God.
Petition - Asking for yourself.
35
4)Intercession - When we start to pray for
others.
5)Confession – When we expose to God our
sins and personal difficulties
BECAUSE MANY DID NOT RECEIVE ANSWERS
FROM YOUR PRAYERS:
1-They do not confess sin - God does not hear the prayer
of the sinner (Is.59:01-02)
2-They do not know how to ask (James 4:3; John 5:14-15)
3-There is no interest in the answer (John 15:07; Matthew 21:22)
PROMISE OF ANSWER TO PRAYER:
Is. 91:15
John 14:14
The poor and needy seek water, but there is none; their tongues are parched with thirst. I, the LORD, will answer them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.
Luke 11:9-10
I John 3:22

INTERCESSION
WHAT IS INTERCESSION?
a) Guided prayer by the Holy Spirit
b) Pray with mercy
c) It is to remain in the gap between two factors: people, nation, etc.
c.1) Between God and the people (Ex.32:07; 50:32; Ps.106:23)
c.2) Between Satan and someone, people, etc.
It is one of the highest services to God and with the
next. (Hb.07:24-29; Rm.08:34)
It is what Satan fears the most and tries to prevent.
f) It is a costly and neglected ministry. Why?
f.1) For selfishness (we do not want to spend time to
f.2) For disbelief in our hearts
f.3) Due to a lack of knowledge of who God is
for disobedience (1 Samuel 12:23)
f.5) Due to lack of discipline or laziness (Proverbs 5:23)
g) It is not a popular ministry, it is a secret service.
(Mt.06:05-06)
It is a ministry of urgent necessity.
2-RESULTS OF INTERCESSION:
1.With God:
a) Move the heart of God (Jn.03:05-10)
b) Open the nations
It is the greatest force in the world.
2. For the others:
It's a way to win souls.
3. Towards us:
37
Friends of God (Am.03:07)
b) It is the deepest way to know us
God.
c) We have come closer to God than anyone
another ministry.
Strip away all introspection and self-pity
expand our vision.
e) He helps us physically (Is. 40:31).
4.Ask the Lord to create in us a life of
prayer.
5. To be filled with the Holy Spirit
a) Meet the requirements to be filled with the Spirit

b) Fulfill the conditions:
Call to me and I will answer you (Jeremiah 33:3)
Humble ourselves (2 Chronicles 7:14)
To have faith
Listen to the voice of God (Mk. 09:07)
3 BASIC PRINCIPLES FOR INTERCESSION:
1. Self-examination - Always have an attitude of forgiveness
(Mt. 05:23-24)
2.Recognize that we do not know how to pray (Rom. 3:26)
38
3.Die for our voice, for our self (Prov. 3:05-
06)
4.Silence the voice of the enemy (James 4:07)
5.Ask for direction from the Holy Spirit (Eph. 5:18)
6.Thank God for what He is going to do and
reveal (Hb.11)
7.Waiting in silence.
FEAR OF THE LORD

Sl.25:14 – "The intimacy of the Lord is for those who Him"
we are
Sing to the Lord all the earth
Gn.22:12 - "Abraham, now I know that you fear God..."
UNCONDITIONAL OBEDIENCE
1- WHAT IS THE FEAR OF THE LORD:
The word FEAR:
a)Reverence (Respect, recognition)
I - For God and for the Sacred Things (Ex.03:05 -
...takes off the sandals)
II- By the countries and elderly people (Prov. 23:22; I
Tm.05:01-02
III-Through the Sanctuary (Lv.19:30; Ec.05:01)
IV-By the men of God (anointed) (Phil. 2:29; I
Ts.05:12-13; Ex.33:08
Mandate (Deut. 13:4; Eccles. 12:13; 1 Pet. 2:17)
c)Wisdom (Job 28:28; Ps. 111:10 - the beginning of
wisdom
d) Hate and separate from evil, (Prov. 8:13; Job)
01:01,08; Prov. 03:07-08; 24:21; Tg 04:04)
THE LACK OF FEAR OF THE LORD HINDERS OUR
SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT AND GROWTH
FROM THE CHURCH.
THE FEAR OF THE LORD IS THE FOUNDATION OF ALL
GROWTH.

Js.11:02-03 – Jesus would delight in the fear of
Sir.
2-AREAS WHERE THE FEAR OF THE LORD AFFECTS
OUR LIVES:
a)Our thoughts (Phil. 4:08; Col. 3:02)
Thoughts from above:
PRAISE: gratitude, hymns of praise and worship.
FORGIVENESS: a decision to be made and
cultivated in the mind.
TRUST: we learn to trust not only in
people, but mainly in God.
(Sl.40:01-04; 37:3,5)
β
Thoughts of the earth:
ENVY: ingratitude towards God.
ODIO: mind bombarded by the devil.
MISTRUST: believes that everyone will fail
I can, even God.
How to change:
Confess the evil thoughts.
Reject them.
Fill the mind with the word of God and pray
by the fear of the Lord in our thoughts.
(Rm.12:02)
b)Our words (Eph. 4:29; 5:04; Col. 4:06;
IPe.04:11
41
b.1) Murmuring: it is the path to defeat.
(Num. 13:31; 14:04)
YOU ARE THE PERSON CLOSEST TO YOUR MOUTH
Murmuring produces - discouragement - unbelief -
rebellion
murmuring and contention
b.2) Lie: If we do not speak 100% the truth,
we tell lies.
A lie is to say anything with the intention of
to deceive or give false ideas about any fact.
(Proverbs 6:16-19; 13:03; 21:23; Ephesians 4:25; Revelation 21:08;
Prov. 8:13; Prov. 19:05
One does not stop lying by ceasing to lie, if
STOP LYING BY TELLING THE TRUTH!
b.3) Treatment: The fear of the Lord does not allow for
let's deal with any commitment that we won't later
let us fulfill 100%. (Prov. 29:20; Matt. 5:37)
WORSHIP SCHEDULE
c)What we hear: Everything we hear is recorded
in our memory, and many become slaves for
because of your ears.
What we should not hear:
Gossip and lies: (Prov. 20:19; 11:09; 29:12)
When we hear gossip or lies about someone
we received a negative image of this person.
2. Profane songs: (Ec.07:05)
Many lyrics praise the devil, others mostly
sometimes they are agreeing with the sin of:
SENSUALITY, ADULTERY, PROSTITUTION,
REBELLION, IMPURITIES, ETC...
42
3. Jokes and cases that do not edify: (Ps.01:01)
Everything we think is partly conditioned.
with what we hear. We cannot have the mind of
Christ, we are filling our ears with
things that are not advisable.
Not that we look and read: (1 Cor. 6:12 - All the
things are l)
Everything we see for the first time (inevitable)
it is not a sin, but if we do not avoid it, it is
because sin already exists in our hearts.
(Sl.101:03-04)
e) On the uses of our money:
Note: What percentage of our money that
does it belong to the Lord? (Is.55:02; Lc.19:17)
Response: 100% - God only asks that we be faithful
in the little that He asks (10%).
f)In the use of time: (Ec. 03:17; Pv. 05:23; 06:09-11;
Tg.04:17)
The world proposes "interesting things" to us
occupy our time, but not always, these
"things" are actually what we should do. If
What we are doing is wasting our time.
g) In the way we dress:
The Christian should dress modestly, asking
to yourself, if your clothes are pleasing to
God.
We cannot dress in a way that attracts
attention to our body. (I Co. 06:12)
43
h) Relationship with the opposite sex:
Christian love does not allow impurity, for it is sincere.
And he is respectful; impurity is the work of the flesh and then not
you are part with the body of Christ.
(Galatians 5:19; Ephesians 5:3)
WE CANNOT DECEIVE ANYONE
Tss.04:03-07; Mc.10:19
3-BLESSINGS OF THOSE WHO FEAR THE LORD:
a) Power over sin. (Ex. 20:20; Prov. 16:06)

They please God. (Ps. 147:11)
Preservation of life. (Prov. 19:23; 10:27)
j) Protection. (Sl.34:07)
k) Memorial written before God, we will be His
Private treasure. (Mt.03:16-17)
l) The whole blessed family. (Dt.05:29)
We will be successful. (Ec.08:12)
4-HOW TO OBTAIN THE FEAR OF THE LORD
44
What does the Lord ask of me? (Deut. 10:12-13)
a) Being aware of the decision to be made
in this sense (Proverbs 1:29)
b) To recognize before God that we do not have the
fear of the Lord in our lives and cry out for
His mercy.
c) Continuously ask for the fear of the Lord with a
intense desire to receive you by faith. (Ps.86:11)
The sign that God is working in us
lives, it will be a change of attitude towards the
sin.
Js.24:14 – ABANDONMENT OF SIN
Sl.139:51 – David's prayer acknowledging that
God was, and his need for change.
45
BREAKING
1-What is breaking?
It is the experience of God probing our heart and
show us what we need to change. If we need to
change it because it is something bad. "SIN".
Sin separates us from God (Isa. 59:02).
Where does sin dwell?
In the heart (Jr.01:11)
Iron Pointer - used for making marks
permanent on hard surfaces. Boards of a

hard heart><with the tablets of the law made by God
Moses.
Altars – Idolatry
What is the solution?
Repentance that leads to brokenness.
What is a life of brokenness:
It is to live the truths of the word of the word of God.
(1 John 1:5-7)
Recognize our mistakes with willingness to
change (Sl.139)
It is to be transparent
OUR GREATEST EXAMPLE IS JESUS ALWAYS
Surrendered at the feet of his father
Genuine consequence of regret:
Examples: David – Ps.86:11-12; Ps.63:01-03; Ps.62; I
sm.16.
End of your life – 1 Chron. 29:10-17.
Jonas regretted it but did not have a life of
breaking. (Read the whole book of Jonah)
3-How the breaking can come:
A class
-Reading the Bible
Moment of prayer
Conversation with a brother
Circumstance
4 Things that prevent a breaking:
Pride (Saul)
Religiosity (Pharisees)
Disobedience (Solomon)
47
Comfort or spiritual passivity
Fear of God cutting precious things for us
To think that God does not care about sin.
5 Marks of a Broken Person:
Ease of admitting when she is wrong
Confess your sin
Accept reprimand
Ease of refund
It is not justified
Give glory to God
Does not seek recognition from men.

WAIVER OF RIGHTS
Introduction:
Luke 14:25-33 Renunciation of all that one has.
-It is not for some, but for everyone. "Great

Is it allowed for something to take the place of

true cross.
Law – something that is legal, that belongs or does not
belongs. Our right ends when the other
It begins. (My/God). I do not belong to this world, no

We chose freely and willingly.
to resign.
Slave - Servant
There is no right, because someone is
above him as Lord. Nothing else in this world is
important, that hinders the lordship of Christ
in our lives.
Christianity - it is not a religion, going to church is
consequence at the same time. Our part here is
convince people to accept the kingdom of God.
Three reasons for the delivery of rights:
1-Lordship of Christ - Phil. 02:09-11 Confess and
to adore, total surrender in love. Not holding back the
the right to keep or not what Christ asks of us,
but to show that we accept your lordship. No
to claim nothing. Total surrender is to be ready to
to listen, to obey, this is the condition for us to have
duties.
Total surrender in love
a) This love is greater than family affection. Mt.10:37
b) This love is greater than the desires to follow our
own paths, because they are always in
contradiction with those of God, for they tend towards the
meat. Lc.14:27.
50
c) This love is greater than possessions or goods Lc.14:33,
I am of God, what I have is also of God.
We are stewards of the things we have, which is why not
we can have possessiveness.
2-Personal Benefit - As Lord, God takes pleasure
to take good care of your servants and for this
Whatever happens, we must trust fully in Him.
First, we must be completely free. We have to
see God's priorities: Love people and use
things, and not vice versa. With this, we are not going to
suffering from anger, anxiety, restlessness (Mt.6:21).
What is inside us will always come out.
when we are kicked, annoyed. What is Mine
is not more important than the other.
3-World Evangelism - In this century many
people die for loving Christ. We will not have
condition of involving in the work if there was no waiver
total, books for God. Move towards something
place or any meaning. Not being ready to
lose your own life, we cannot serve to
Christ, because this is the greatest thing we have, and the
All other things are left behind.
In moments of consecration, we should not
to deceive God, if we do not renounce our own lives.
The idolatria of our life must be thrown away.
WHAT WE MUST RENOUNCE
a)Territory - properties, land, or homeland, nation
your city, if it will constitute a problem, is
idolatry.
51
Houses - many are willing to leave the house
for a few days, months or years but not all
they are leaving life entirely.
c)Family - parents and siblings. It doesn't mean that I don't them.
we love, but God is above them. Get rid of it
of family ties to engage with the kingdom.
d) Ben's belongings - clothes, books, furniture, etc... No
does that mean we can take things from others
that do not belong to us. But it is important not to
to cry when others touch your things, no
let's lose our peace and self-control, to
not having renounced things.
e)Food - it is related to self-love,
care, pleasure, exaggerated, with health, (ask
for God to heal). Do not complain about
food. If you have already thanked. Many times
they are doing their best. Don't let this
constitutes a problem to take out of the center of the
will of God. However, not choosing, not staying
without eating whatever there is, to have health.
f)I have the right to sleep. Sleep is important for
our life, when work demands, to pray,
to fight for, or for a person in need,
we must renounce. For the love of someone. Not to love
to ourselves.
g) Right to Freedom - freedom is granted and
not required. Within the limits that God has set for us
put
h) Reputation - Self-love. When your
personality is wounded, and becomes angry. Or when
others are recognized more than you. Your reputation
are you, you are a good servant or a bad servant, of what
did or did not what it is.
52
i)Money - Having what is necessary for survival.
When God gives you, it is important for you,
it is not yours, and for being used in the way that God
to direct, even to give to a person who is
needing to be reached by the love of God,
through you.

HUMILITY
See yourself as you are. Have a true vision of yourself.
same. To see oneself through the cross of Jesus. It is to recognize
the extension of God's grace. 1 Timothy 1:15-16.

CLEAR CONSCIENCE
54
As humans, when we violate a law and
we did not receive discipline, or punishment, we felt
guilty, and this is a way of self-punishment.
CONSCIOUSNESS:
CONS = To have awareness, To have knowledge of facts
SCIENCE = Knowledge
Consciousness: It is the recognition or perception
of what happens within us. It carries out the judgment of
our actions in the mind and in the heart to the point of
to discern right from wrong.
Clear Conscience - To have settled accounts with
God is with the next one, being at peace with oneself
even, asking for forgiveness for what torments
our mind.
PSALM 32
V.01 and 02 - The forgiveness of God. Man is only well-
adventurous when he confesses and receives forgiveness.
This is only possible in Jesus!
V.03 - David refers to his adultery with the wife of
Urias and his successive sins from which he tried to
free from guilt. (II Sam. 11)
V.04 - Weight on the conscience
Davi lives in war to acknowledge his sin, a
war against pride and one's own reputation.
Recognizing our limits is a sign of humility!
V.06 - The man who fears the Lord in his heart,
You know that in God, we find a source of forgiveness.
When we have our conscience at peace in front of
God, we can deal with the problems!
V.07 - When we are in sin, with struggle, no
we seek in God a hiding place, before, in us
we justify or try to compensate for the guilt.

V.08 and 09 - To have a teachable heart towards God. A
If it is not clean, it blocks growth
spiritual.
V.10 - The wicked must bear their own guilt.
V.11 - Challenge of keeping the heart straight. David
recognized that he was flawed and a sinner.
With the fall and sin, this Cs suffered a
disruption, as Cs connects us directly to the free
free will (Gen. 2:15-17). We can only use free will
in the face of two options (of a choice), the tree of
knowledge of Good and Evil would test Free Will
of man, and his choice was to transgress, and he began to
live the conflict of good and evil. The Cs of man was
left to her own devices.
Opesarda Cs is not necessarily linked to the
sin, but rather the transgression of standards that we
were established. After the fall, God worked on
sense of helping man to establish a
parameter between good and evil. Dealing with the drama
to choose the good.
GENESIS 04:01-08 - First mention of sin after
the fall. The man had the ability to discern between the
the good and the evil, and choose the good.
V.01 - Cain is born (natural man)
V.02a - Abel is born (spiritual man)
Abel = shepherd and Cain = farmer
V.03 - Cain brought an offering = firstfruits of the flock
God was pleased with Abel
V.05a - God was not pleased with Cain
b- Cain's attitude was wrong, he did not know how to choose the
best attitude (intent of the heart)
V.06 - Dialogue of God with Cain
56
V.07 - God shows Cain what he already knew
in her Cs.
God gives the warning: Well - it will be accepted
PROCEED
Sin lies at the door
The responsibility that God gives to Cain was to
dominate your feeling (desire).
The natural man is inclined towards evil. However,
the grace of God enables us to choose good and
to dominate over our feeling (bad).
V.08 - Cain gives in to his desire to
to assassinate your brother.
The struggle of sin begins at the level of Cs, the struggle
to choose between good and evil.
Each one is responsible for their own sins and
choices.INFLUENCE IS NOT OBLIGATION.
The principles of God are Absolute, the standards
humans are relative.
Without Christ, we reject blame, compensating, if
self-punishing, casting upon others (Ez.18:0203'), the
children in Jerusalem were blaming their parents for their
suffering.
In Jesus, we identify sin, we acknowledge
our responsibility, we confess, we receive the
God's forgiveness in grace and we have self-control
about our desire.
All past that is confessed and goes by
regret is forgiven!

WHY DID GOD GIVE US A CONSCIENCE?
To guide us on what is right and wrong -
Proverbs 20:27
2)To alert us regarding sin - Question
to transgress the Divine law. I Sm.24:05-10. We saw the
influence of David's men, who were wrong,
but David thought it was a good piece of advice, but
realizes the initiative you took. The light of
consciousness hits your heart (V.05)
3)To have a true testimony -
At.24:16Fruit of a Clean conscience, like the
the apostle Paul before the governor. The Cs is the
58
first to receive our testimony (II
Co.01:32).
Having a clean Cs gives us tranquility in
to know that we have inner peace, resulting from
right choices before God and men, and
confession of wrongs to receive forgiveness.
I Tm.01:19 -Association of faith with consciousness
clean, not to have pending issues that lead to sinking
in faith, that is to fall from the grace of God.
Hb.13:18 - It was written in a time of persecution, in
that some Jews converted to Christianity were
wanting to return to Judaism.
In moments of pressure, we are tempted to give a
way in the drama of consciousness, thus diluting the
God's standards in our lives.
I Pd.03:16 - Initially talk about the procedure of
life culminates with Cs, which is the generator of good
proceed. Peter's letter was written to the Christians in
Asia Minor, Peter wrote to encourage them to
a constant joy amidst persecution that
was being done by Emperor Nero.
Having a clean conscience does not mean sinning no more, and
Yes, having the right relationship with God every day. Our
choice must be based on the Fear of the Lord.
Having the clean Cs, the devil will have no more than us
accuse, for we have already refunded. By acting this way, we will have a
successful life.
RESULTS OF A CLEAR CONSCIENCE
1)Inner peace - Rom. 05:01
2)Testify with authority (testimony)
At 23:01
3)Make right or correct decisions:

59
I Sm.10:08 - Saul receives order from Samuel
I Sm.13:08-10 - Saul has a wrong attitude, no

Saul was a king after the heart of the people, in order to
self-benefit)

Dn.01:05-08 -Daniel made the right choice. Do not

God. He valued good Cs during the time that
he was in Babylon; even being pressured by the king
Dario did not give in. He feared the Lord.
4)Good health - Psalms 01:01-05
5)Do not shipwreck in faith - I Tim. 1:18-19
6)Pleasure in developing good friendships -Se
we have a clear conscience, we can be
transparent to others.
HOW TO CAUTERIZE CONSCIOUSNESS:
To insist on the mistake - the continuous practice becomes something
normal over time.
2. To compensate for pain through things or people
interior caused by the mistake made (sleep, drugs,
drinks, studies, etc.
3.Compensation; camouflaging activism, buying the
justification of blame.
4.Self-deception. Blaming others takes away our
responsibility.
HOW DO WE DETECT THE NEED FOR
TO HAVE A CLEAR CONSCIENCE:
When there are painful memories in our mind or
painful memories that we try to forget,
the cause of fear in facing them, because of the pain
caused by them, we repress them. In this way, they come

to our mind in scenes or mental images or still
like dreams that always repeat, causing
emotional or spiritual imbalance.
HOW TO GAIN A CLEAR CONSCIOUSNESS

Yes. But in the New Testament, it is effective by the blood of Jesus.
Hb.10:19-23 - The way is open for
purification of Cs, of guilt and painful memories.
STEPS:
1-Recognize that only in Jesus can we
obtain purification.
2-Recognizing our mistake and taking responsibility for it.

3-Confess our sins to the Lord, who constitutes
an act against the accusation of the devil.
4-Restitution - external form of forgiveness (Luke 19:01-

DYNAMICS OF PERSONALITY
1-WALLS AND MANIPULATION:
PERSONALITY:
It is what determines a person's individuality
moral, distinguishing it from another. It is the way I
express; it is something superficial.
The areas that define more specifically the
personality of an individual:
CHARACTER - Inherent moral qualities of a person.
character is based on free will and is formed by
sum of all our choices. By our choice
63
we will define our character; it is formed of
moral attributes. Ex.: Holiness and impurity; - Justice
not injustice; etc. there are no excuses for sinning, it is a
moral choice; a voluntary act when we sin.
MIND- Thoughts, reasoning. It is the faculty or
ability to formulate concepts; can be creative,
create images, new ideas, make improvements
etc.), and also the ability to understand, memorize
organize information. The mental area is the most
define a person, as it is where we make our
choices (our thoughts are subordinated to
free will) therefore, we must submit it to the domain
Spirit (communion is submission to God). Keeping it
protected by the helmet of salvation, for it is the field
of battle. Influencing by the Spirit - (areas)
consciousness, intuition, and communion. Through feelings,
wishes and desires.
EMOTIONS - It has the potential to take us away, that's why
must be controlled through a mind
disciplined and holy. Every emotional problem has its
root in the mind, and every mental problem has its root in
spirit. (Communion with God affects, consciousness
degenerate, etc.)
BODY - God gave a unique 'physical appearance'
that must be accepted. Also our 'attitudes
corporate" (words and other actions) must be in
harmony with our mind, otherwise we will be
incoherent and this damages our personality. Body
it is an instrument that transforms energy or power
spiritual in energy or physical power.
For example: A flashlight.
a) Box - body
b) Switch that turns on and off - Free will
64
c) Lamp - soul (mind, will, emotions,
memory)
d)Current - The spirit that gives life to the soul (Intuition:
self-survival; prescience. Communion: it is only
possible through the new birth of consciousness:
door of the Spirit, moral law of God in us
interior.
Genesis 02:07 (Heb. Plural) Lives: Physical, mental,
emotional and spiritual.
LIFE - It is the correspondence with the environment.
A dead person has no correspondence with the environment.
environment, for it has eyes and does not see, ears and does not hear.
DEATH - It is the lack of correspondence; it is the
separation. By disobeying, Adam lost his
correspondence with God, and instantly
died spiritually, and can only return to God through
sacrifice. There is a separation between soul and spirit.
The potential of the word of God; Heb. 04:12; I Thess. 05:23
Being life, grants life;
2. Being effective transforms the faithful listener;
3. Having two blades cuts first whoever uses it,
and then those who received his ministry;
4. Being cutting brings to light the dark motives of
heart (I Cor. 4:5);
5. Able to discern (Gr. Kritikos); judges values.
6.ALMA - True expression of what we are:
For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.
we think, we were born into a fallen generation, and
we are influenced by the corrupted world that
we live. At the beginning of our lives we were
contaminated and we were being rejected
also injuring many people.
3.REQUIREMENTS OF THE WORLD:
65
a) Social life (status) the pride of life;
b) Personality: Extroverted, striking, confident
(high exaltation);
c) Intellect: Accumulating culture - Wisdom of the world
d) Material: Being rich - greed (Proverbs 18:11) - the world
judges the poor as inferior
e) Physically: A lot of beauty - brave man
macho
All these things are nothing more than WALLS to
promote a false projection of one's inner image.
WALLS AND WALLS - False protection
based on sinful reactions. They separate us
of the true knowledge of God.
KNOWLEDGE
WALLS
E
WALLS
Deuteronomy 01:28 - Fortified cities: Walls
they represent the inner barriers (hatred, anger, wrath,
etc.)
Giants: they are the enemies from outside
The external problems are: external pressures; Ex.:
David, Job, Daniel, etc.
66
Two things that can defeat us:
1-External Challenges: GIANTS (money, family,
health, profession, etc.
2-Interior problems: Arise from INCREDULITY.
Deuteronomy 01:30-32 - The real problem of the people of
Israel was not the giants, but rather disbelief.
fear. It is the inner conflict, not the outer one. They are conflicts
of personality. They are complications in personality.
What has led Christians to defeat the most is the
abandonment of reaching the inheritances of the Lord, are the
internal problems related to our personality;
they are barriers created as a mechanism of self-defense,
in a world that always offers us rejection
the sinful reactions of self-defense. In the face of a
rejection, we feel 'obliged' to react against the
rejections due to our pride and selfishness. They are
raised around our personality with the
the purpose of hiding what we really are.
WALLS - False personality created and designed
for sinful reactions. Ex.: Irony is a form of
defense that leads us to twist who we are.
Where do these problems come from? From unbelief!
1-When we have these sinful reactions,
we need to take responsibility for our mistakes. We are not
thank you for contaminating with mistakes from others
people, for INFLUENCE IS NOT A DUTY.
Many times we blame everything: the parents, the
lovers, society, the government, the school, the
drugs, less ourselves. Admit: If we have sinned
the fault is ours.
Choosing these sinful reactions is to be
sacrificing: transparency, spontaneity,
honesty in the relationship.
67
Behind the wall there are shadows, separation and
blocking against love.
Leviticus 13:18-20, 25 - Wounds received in the world

love deficiencies = ulcer.

spiritual; DEEPER THAN THE SKIN: if we react
wrongly in front of a rejection, we are hurting
our personality; Am.065:19 - The escape worsens the
situation; Ct.02:08, 09 - Had an experience with Jesus,
fell asleep and stayed behind the window afraid to go out.
The walls deprive us of sunlight. The sun of justice is
Jesus.
Ezekiel 13:10-15 - Whitewashed walls: false
personality. God is the enemy of our walls.
Stormy winds: God's wrath - Fender.
Downpour: wrath of God - to bring down.
Hailstones: God's indignation - to consume.
God wants to overcome these walls of ours. Rains and
winds are crises, and it is at this moment that the wall falls, or
we cultivate doubts about the character of God.
Leviticus 14:34-35 - More profound than the wall:
importance of spiritual hygiene. Many diseases are
due to the bacteria that multiply quickly
under favorable conditions of humidity and darkness.
We need to let the light of God in, so that the
spiritual mofo be illuminated. The walls
built around us form an environment
propitious for the multiplication of spiritual diseases.
Walls separate us from true knowledge of
God. (Is. 59:10-15). These walls leave us blind,
68
we hide from judgment and salvation, leads us to
to scheme and exercise falsehood.
John 08:32 - Jesus can set us free if we choose the
truth.
Psalm 139:23-24 - Choosing God to know us
our own heart. It knows what it wants
truly we are.
Jeremiah 17:09-10 - We hide from everything and it generates in us
a deceptive heart. We project onto ourselves
that which we are not.
Romans 8:27 - The Spirit knows all the depths of
our problems and wants to help us.
Ephesians 01:17-19 - First, God wants to turn on lights
inside our heart.
Only Jesus can and will bring about the changes within
our personality in the face of our rejections, deficit
of love and disappointments. God came to operate illuminated
our hearts through the Holy Spirit, which works together
with the Word of God, showing our
needs. God's desire is not just to illuminate,
but also to act and bring victory.
I John 07:07 - God took a measure against the wall.
He has the PLUMB to measure us. He wants to bring us down.

PRUMO
OF GOD
M.A. (MODEL OF AUTHORITY): it is not only
someone who is an authority in your life, but is someone
that you love very much. It is one of the sources of love of your
life. What influences us to block our being is the
rejection.
Now this is not the cause of us sinning against and nor
to admit past wounds. Jesus was the most
rejected and did not sin. (1 Peter 2:21-23). He reacted
being a silent sheep (Is. 53:07-08). Our reaction in
rejection or rebellion is when we sin affecting our
personality. Living with the walls, being a slave to
Sin is a failure in the work of the Lord. There is power in
blood of Jesus for transformation and regeneration of
our being, not only freeing us from hell,
maintaining an abundant life here on earth.
REACTIONS WHEN THE AUTHORITY MODEL

An experiment was conducted with children from
American military personnel, who prepare for war
(their parents were away for work reasons).
They observed the reactions of these for a long time.
children who felt rejected. Found 7
types of reactions that we generally find in ourselves:
70
a) IRA (Critical Manipulator) The child feels hurt
you rejected, and express this inner pain through the
rage. When the person you love fails at the exact
moment that the person needs, this is when reacting
becomes very irritated, angry or goes somewhere else
extreme of SELF-PITY, for there is no
received what was expected. (IRA: - immediate reason -
DOR: expression - ANGER). They had habits of
violence, revolt, aggression - result: Life
of crime and violence, later it can become
a murderer, thief, robber, etc.
b) DENY THE PROBLEM AND FANTASIZE ABOUT LIFE
(Indifferent manipulator). Deny the reality of
What is happening. Pretend everything is fine, and with
over time, life becomes a fantasy, developing
but later disorder in personality. Acts as
if the father hadn ’t left, lives a world
imaginative (imagine that the father did not leave). Grows up
developing the Act of fantasy, denies the
existence of the problem in life, lives vulnerable to
spiritual deception because it lives in a better world
denying that which is in reality. Acquires
OBSESSION (impertinence, persecution by the father).
Danger of falling into great mistakes, as it becomes
involuntary.
Common problems of this reaction - with 'escape of
drugs, problems in the sexual area, cults
heretical, - One can become a murderer - Leads to
neurosis.
c) REPEATEDATTEMPT TO MEET WITH THE FATHER.
(Passive manipulator) Leads to JEALOUSY, ENVY.
Always asking when dad is coming back
(like a broken record). Tendency to put
the leader on a pedestal. Always wants friends for himself,
71
And that's why it always stays on the heels of those in authority.
for him. There is a lot of obsession and acquires a
possessive personality, motivated by
feeling of emotional deficiency.
d) GUILT. They consider his guilt the absence of the father,
leading to the Rebellion. Natural reaction: Wants to be
punished, trying to alleviate the guilt. Leads to
sexual perversities. Engages in rebellion because
he thinks he needs punishment to feel relieved
of this false guilt, and how the punishment does not resolve the
problem, enters a vicious cycle leading to
delinquency.

guilt is the way to ask for punishment to relieve the
consciousness. The child cannot reason that the
"father working" is a necessity. She thinks: "My father

same. She blames herself for her father's absence. She has to
learn to trust in the Lord, rest in Him,
rejecting all the past that brings a weight of self-
conviction.
Results: Delinquents, commits offenses, crime,
crimes. Becomes an oppressed and depressed person.
e) FEAR (Of being abandoned). They cling too much to
mothers become possessive and insecure. They have
fear of being rejected due to insecurity, with

this becomes quite annoying, then it tends to
will be more rejected.
Fear Possessive
Rejection
The fear of being abandoned is the root of all
fears. The newborn has only two fears: of
noise and fall, then with growth they will have
other fears and that stem from the fear of being
abandoned.
Fear of: losing loved ones, of animals, of
water, from the dark, from the future, of not paying the bills of
month, of not being considered a worthy person, etc.
Fear generates ANXIETY, and it becomes dependent on
medications.
Unresolved fear (terror), Person
neurotic.
f) IMPULSIVE BEHAVIOR: Returned to habits of
small child. Pees in bed, eats quickly
(involves gluttony). They are disorders
emotional, muscular, and organic.
Compulsive behavior (driven) generates
physical problems.
Consequences: Diseases psychosomatic
(Psycho:PSYCHE - soul, mind; Somatics: body).
70% to 90% of the diseases that doctors treat are
psychosomatic diseases (headache, neck pain, in
nuclear, columns, belly, ulcers, diarrhea, problems

digestives). Psychosomatic diseases have their
origin in personality and become physical illnesses
for which there is no scientific cure. Ex.: In anxiety, the
the stomach begins to produce gastric juice that will
building ulcers causes problems in the area of
appetite (desire and uncontrolled appetites).
Areas of impulses are: Disordered eating,
sex, masturbation, drugs, alcohol, etc. Concupiscence
exaggerated: slave to one's own will. Tries to escape from
pain through a "false comfort".
g) WITHDRAW. Does not seek dialogues. Denies the
reality lives within an imaginary world.
Do not face your problems, they withdraw from life and
they isolate themselves. People who feel easily
rejected, they close the doors of the world, withdraw
entirely from reality. Solitary lead to a
mental disorder and the consequence is Psychosis. A
A psychotic has different reactions than a neurotic.
(denying to fantasize). It is said that a neurotic
build a castle in the sky and the psychotic lives
nele.
Due to all these reactions: Rejection and deficit of
love.
Perfect holiness - True love
Sin - violation of love - destroys
relationships.
No one can cause sin in anyone, can they?
to influence, but INFLUENCE IS NOT OBLIGATION. A
Rejection itself has no power to hurt us (Is. 53:04) The
the sin of the parents visits (influences) the children up to the
third and fourth generation (Ex.20:04-06).
Walls: crooked walls - false and harmful protection.
A wall made without the PLUMB of God. Our plumb must

Side of Rejection:
These feelings of rejection are, for the most part,
times, caused by the lack of love from an M.A.
2-In our THOUGHTS, inferiority occurs when
we are rejected and sometimes we think we are
rejected for being inferior to that person.
3-The spirit will keep getting weaker and weaker until it leads to

Side of the Rebellion:
In the area of SENTIMENTS, they are caused to
defense of your pains.
God wants to bring healing to all wounds
of our personality. We build walls through
lack of love, usually generated by the parents,
initiated in childhood, and later by the boyfriends,
teachers, leaders, friends, etc. our goal is that
let us be 'oaks of righteousness' in the hands of the Lord.

Area of the spirit:
10- FRACO: subject and vulnerable to sin; without
authority, without power, without expression; flaccid.
Danger of not having and being nothing more. Danger of
to extinguish the spirit (we must be strong in Christ).
11- OFF: dying; extinguishing, lifeless
we must be enlightened in our hearts to
hope. Eph. 01:18.
DESPAIR: Extreme affliction, lack of hope;
with nothing more to expect. (Seek the peace of Christ
what guards our minds and hearts in these
moments).
13- DISCOURAGEMENT: without spirit, without courage, disheartened,
dejected. It may be your discouragement or thrown by
enemy. Danger of influencing others. ("Take good
Take heart, I have overcome the world." John 16:33.
14- SUICIDE: the last step of life, misfortune because of it
same.
Side of the Rebellion:
a) Area of feelings:
1-HOSTILITY: hostile, rebellious; it is a constant type
of hate and anger. It is a sign of weakness, a lack of
love (shows insecurity, is hostile just to keep people away
others afraid of being hurt).
2-PRIDE: excessive self-love; arrogance
(pride and insecurity go hand in hand).
3-SOPHISTICATION: it is the choice of something for advantage
own. Sophisticated manners and attitudes; decisions
decisions motivated by money, social status,
78
etc. Leads to the sin of favoritism. To want
to impress someone due to the need for
love.
4-HIGHS AND LOWS: inconsistency, constant tension, in
exaggerated and extreme levels. Attempts to
to represent someone, leading the person to hide
behind herself. The tragedy of this 'brick' is that the
the result is frustrations both from competing and
also for being a victim.
b)Area of thoughts:
5-SUPERIORITY: self-image that one is superior
(“I am the best”). It leads to a critical attitude towards
the failures of others.
6-COMPETITIVE: to demand something simultaneously with
another thing; attempt to prove "that one is someone". struggle
for the right to receive love. Ministerially, it can
generate frustration.
7-DOMINANT: attempt to dominate by feeling
insecure. It arises from the attempt to defend oneself from a
pain or lack of love. Demands to be loved and when
this doesn't work, it hurts people very easily,
causing it to always be rejected.
8-RIGID: in the face of feelings of insecurity, it is
inflexibly and rigorously. It is zeal without understanding.
charging a lot from yourself and others, conditioning the
love of God the very demands. (God is not
rigid and his love is unconditional – Rom. 5:08;
Mt. 05:45).
9-MANIPULATOR: uses other people to achieve
your own plans (emotional blackmail and even
spiritual to be loved). It is a counterfeit of love.
79
10- STUBBORN: it is an expression of rigidity; not
admit that you are wrong, persevering in the mistake,
protecting and exalting your pride.
11- NOT TEACHABLE: always considers a correction
like a rejection. Thinks that everything new is
wrong or aggressive. Someone fixed.

LOVE: is choosing the best possible for God, for
the next one is for me. Love is the essence of everything
that which God requires of us. Twisted Love; it is
that based on selfishness. Jesus said that we must
love your neighbor as we love ourselves; and love oneself
even is not wanting love for oneself. The danger

Ultimately, doing something better to be more loved

like a fear of being rejected, being a failure
and no longer being loved by people. The media

worldly demands provoke deficits in us

dominant is the lack of love. Any type of

God created us well aligned, we were in position
of moral balance (Eccl. 07:29).
The beginning of sin: the beginning of harming each other.
To love is to choose the best for God, for others and
for you. Sin is choosing the worst for God, for the
next and for yourself. It is self-destruction, and all
sin leads to death.
What is death: It is like separation. This separation
creates a need for love, we were created to live
in full communion with God and with men, but
sin has distanced us from this communion. We were born into a
world deprived of this communion, therefore to the

A) Escape to false comfort:
Cause: Rejection produces pain and the person takes refuge
in false comfort, leading the person to be more
irresponsible and thus less respected,
resulting in a greater rejection. This becomes critical.
False comfort: It's just an attempt at relief
motivated by an emotional pain. It is not enough
to resist false comfort, we have to draw closer to
JESUS.
Pendulum Oscillation: A fact that leads a person to
feeling rejected, it happens: pain mixed with fear of
what may happen in the next relationship. The intention
is to escape any type of pain. Escape from pain: our
the biggest tendency is to escape into pleasure, false comfort.
It is not wrong to feel pain (emotions), what is wrong is to run away.
The basic sin in rejection is UNBELIEF.

The reaction is anger, a constant attempt to prove that

what is smarter than it could be.
The root sin in rebellion is PRIDE. We

of acceptance by parents, siblings, friends,
others. If you were not accepted, what did you experience?
(Try to remember specific situations in which you
did not feel accepted.
1.a) THE TWO STAGES OF MEANING:
1) God loves us before we are formed, before we have
experience with Jesus (Ps. 139);
After we meet Jesus, we understand that
we were formed with a purpose (Eph. 1:4-12);
We have a meaning - We are people made to...

The important thing in the meaning is what we are, and not the
what people think we are. The sense of

the potential we have is important for our
meaning.

we do not need to prove anything to anyone.

People today wear masks to be accepted,
approved: "If I tell who I am and everything I have,
people may not like it.
With this, a fear is generated that people do not
come to like, and this leads to doing everything to please
to others. We should do it in the best way, yes, but
not to hide us, but because God gave us the
potential. We are before God and we do not need to
defense mechanism.
The sense of meaning is developed from childhood.
and it is not something generated out of the blue. Many
leaders have this problem of meaning, thinking that
they were born by chance, they are worthless and
that God did not have and does not have purposes in His
lives; the root of these feelings was childhood; many
sometimes a father who always said: 'you're no good!'

but does not know that the child does not understand this. We have
inside us a recorder that captures and records all the
situations of our life. The memory is present and
we have things recorded in the unconscious that only

3. PERSONAL ACCEPTANCE
Ninety percent of people's problems are due to not
they will accept as they are. Inferiority complex is a
by-product of compensation. The inferiority is caused
by comparing the values of society or of
people; with their own appearance, skill or
formation. It is what the person believes about themselves or
what it feels like to be, whether it is true or not.
There are people in the church who serve (help) for
they will be accepted.

we will answer before God for the things we do.
The path to prosperity is in fulfilling the
responsibilities before God.
3. Fidelity – Obedience to the terms of the pact.
Salvation is like a marriage, in relation to
alliance and the pact of fidelity. Without commitment
seriously with God there is no intimacy.
The level of our relationship with God is
directly proportional to the depth of our
commitment.
God requires of us a perfect moral intention.
it implies seriousness, honesty, and dedication

means uprightness of heart, without considering its
difficulties (relative perfection) Sl. 51:16,17.
Of spiritual maturity, especially in
aspects such as, will of God, love, holiness,

Genesis 17:1
The foundation of commitment must be love and not the law.
II. OBSTACLE FOR LET'S ASSUME
COMMITMENT
103
-Idolatry - anything or anyone that takes the
place of God. Disobedience blinds the eyes and
brings us back to Egypt.
Negligence - of having responsibilities in the kingdom
of God. (Ag.01:01-06/ II Sm.07:02)
Double heart – double spirit, fickle
The commitment to God nullifies the
friendship with the world (James 4:1-10).
-Traditions - religiosity disqualifies our
relationship with God (Mk.07:13)
Switched properties wrong values
God, Family, Churches, profession...
Fear - to think that God will fail us.
III. CONSEQUENCES OF LACK OF COMMITMENT
Lack of personal conviction regarding your
positioning with God.
Monotonous and defeated spiritual life.
Defeated life of testimony. (Rom. 02:24)
Distorted view of God and the Gospel.
(Luke 12:47,48)
False holiness (Mt.23:27)
Absent ministerial life.
Apostasy, abandonment of faith - the final consequence
of lack of commitment. (II Tim. 2:17,18)
IV. BENEFITS OF COMMITMENT
Perfect salvation - transformed life
True peace at the level of consciousness (1 Timothy 1:19)
Protection of God (Ps.34:07)
104
-Prosperity (Ps. 35:27)
-Met needs (Fl.04:19)
Life of holiness - abundant (John 10:10)
Loyalty
Sincere, frank, honest, true to his commitments
FAITHFUL = Punctual, exact, true

Our thoughts, feelings, and loyalty ask for fidelity.
conduct. The absence of loyalty generates DISTRAUST.
which generates INDISBELIEF, which generates REBELLION.
DISLOYALTY
I Sm.24:04-07 - David had a "backstabbing" attitude
with Saul. David, even though he did not kill Saul, was disloyal,
for he acted in a dark way, that's why God touched his
heart.
Disloyalty begins in thought
II Tim. 2:13 - Regardless of our attitude,
God remains faithful because that is His character.
Thoughts of disloyalty must be clarified
with the person, to avoid generating disbelief.
In loyalty, we do not point out (judge) the defects of
others, such as our leaders.

INTRODUCTION TO THE BIBLE
Authenticity of the Bible
Not taking into account any theory regarding
inspiration from the Bible, or any idea on how it was
that your books reached their current form, or even
even where the biblical text suffered the hands of
editors and copyists when transmitted, abstracting ourselves
on the question of how much one should interpret
literally and how much should one accept as
literal figurative sense, or which part of the Bible is
history, and what is poetry; if we simply admit
that the Bible is exactly what it appears to be,
if we study your books to know them
content, we will find in it a unit of
thought indicating that a unique mind inspired the
writing and the compilation of the entire series of your books,
109
that she carries within herself, the seal of her love, which is, in
unique and distinctive, THE WORD OF GOD.
The Bible is a book inspired by God, in which He
it also reveals itself.
In inspiration, it is God speaking through man.
according to II Tim. 3:16 and II Pet. 1:21
In revelation, God speaks to men according to
Genesis 17:7
Reasons why the Bible is the Word of God:
1. God as creator would have to reveal Himself to His
creatures. The Bible is the only book in the world worthy of
credit in this matter.
2. Jesus Christ himself read the Bible, taught it,
He called her 'The Word of God' and fulfilled it. Lk. 4:17;
24:27,44
3.Your writers recognized the action of the Spirit
Saint when they read or produced their writings. II
1 Peter 1:21
4. The history of other peoples gives testimony of the
events described in the Bible. The history itself
universal borrowed from the Bible records and
facts for your completion.
5. Scientific discoveries increasingly confirm
the truth of the bible. With each discovery, it gains value.
but the biblical narrative.
The Holy Spirit speaks to the heart of the Christian saying
that the Bible is the Word of God. Those who are
directed by her show the world, through the
character, of morals and love, the result of your
words. It is the only word that has power. Jesus
110
used it to defeat the devil, cast out demons,
heal the sick, master the storm, forgive
the sinners, resurrect the dead and feed the
crowds, among other things. It is necessary to use the
Word of God and, above all, an instrument
from faith, not from reason, as many think.
7. Survival and constant applicability.
It remains current and exists to this day, despite so many
attempts of destruction that he/she suffered.
8. It has perfect unity and purpose.Apassage
but a clearer one clarifies a more obscure one. The Word
do not contradict yourself.
The Bible is not:
A treaty of systematic theology.
A compendium of thematic truths - She was not

A collection of chapters and verses - this division

PS. The Writing
Until a few years ago, it was generally believed that writing

archaeologists reveal to us that written records of
important events have taken place since the
dawn of history.
GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE BIBLE:
111
The formation of the sacred canon
The word canon comes from the Greek meaning 'rod'.
"straight." That which points to the correct pattern.
With the numerous attempts at destruction, there emerged in
hearts of men of God the need to
to form this set of books that would be like
inspired. It was already the year 302 AD during the
persecution of Diocletian when these men are
They gathered in prayer and fasting to make this decision.
The canon of the Old Testament: had already been formed at the Council
from Janusia in 90 A.D.. The books were considered until
70 kept in the temple of Jerusalem. Namely the books
of the law, the prophetic, the historical, and the poetic.
The apocryphal books: The meaning of the word is
"hidden", "in secret". They were books that emerged
in the period of 400 between the OT and the NT. Some were
historical texts like I and II Maccabees; others poetic like
Ecclesiasticus of Solomon and others still additions and others
prophetic. The reasons why they were not
considered sacred were:
The Jews of Palestine did not consider it in the canon.
Hebrew.
Only the Jews of the diaspora, who were in Egypt
(without much tradition), they included them in the translation of
Septuagint.
Jesus did not mention any of them.
The church fathers did not consider them inspired.
Compared to others, they are of literary quality.
inferior, therefore unfit to be included in the canon
sacred.
112
These books may not be inspired, but they
contains historical information from this period
intertestamental and the previous one which are interesting
at the level of study and general knowledge.
The canon of the NT: Its formation was necessary because
the disciples of Jesus had already died and the
the persecution of Christians was intense and they needed
not only to preserve the Word, but also to establish the
what should be a code of conduct and practice for the
Church. There were many false teachings and masters.
There were many councils and meetings until the
closing in 397 AD at the Council of Carthage, where
if the total formation of the sacred canon took place.

The Old Testament, written in Hebrew with
some passages written in Aramaic are divided into
four great groups:
•LAW (Torah) or PENTATEUCH (Pente 'Five' Theuco
"volume"). It goes from Genesis to Deuteronomy, and it is the
fundamental base for the entire Bible.
•HISTORICAL -> there are twelve books: from Joshua to Esther.
•POETIC -> five books: from Job to Songs.
113
• PROPHETIC -> there are seventeen books: from Isaiah to
Malachi is divided into two parts:
Major prophets (five books: Isaiah to Daniel), and
Minor prophets (twelve books: Hosea to Malachi).
The New Testament, written in Greek, with
except for the book of Matthew and Hebrews, which form
written originally in Hebrew, are twenty-seven
books.
There are four gospels (Good News).
The first three: Matthew, Mark, Luke. Also
called Synoptic, due to the parallelism between
they. The gospels were known as "The
"Gospel." The reason there are four can be understood.
in the way Jesus is presented by these
respective authors.
•EPISTLES OR LETTERS -> There are twenty-one that go
from Romans to Jude, and contains the doctrine of the Church.
They are subdivided as follows:
Ecclesiastical, there are nine, addressed to the Church, and it goes from
Romans to Second Thessalonians.
Individuals, there are four, directed at individuals, and it goes
from I Timothy to Philemon.
Collective, that of Hebrews, directed to Jewish Christians.
Universals, there are seven, directed at everyone

people fit in there, from Tiago to Judas.

THE IMPORTANCE OF THE WORD
117
One of the greatest privileges that God granted to
your children, it is the opportunity to study His Word.
However, many do not dedicate themselves wholeheartedly to
true study of the Bible; they are content to receive
food for little children, spiritual food for
Second hand. The prophet Jeremiah wrote 'Found
I soon ate your words; your words me

I am called, O Lord of Hosts” (Jer. 15:16).
The word of God (Bible) is one of the ways that
God likes to communicate with His people.
Surely the Lord God will do nothing, without

prophets (Am.03:07). The word of God is worthy of all
trust, for it will always be fulfilled. "The Lord
God said: You have seen well; for I watch over my

The word of God reflects His own character.
The Importance of Studying the Word
The Bible differs from all the books we know.
for being the revelation of God to man. It was through
The revelation of God's Truth, Heb. 1:1-3;
John 1:1-4; Philippians 2:5-8; John 3:16; its purpose and
plan with humanity. In it we find the
principles of life by which we should organize the
our paths. In the Bible we learn who is the
God we serve. She prepares us to testify.
At 04:13-20, He approves us for a ministerial life II
2:14-15
increases our faith Is.34:16; Rm.08:31,39.
118
Why study the Word:
She is the manual of the Christian, it is the instruction book for
the life (Ps.119:92-24', 125; Js.01:08).
It gives us pleasure and inner joy (Ps. 19:08; 01:02).
•Feeds our soul (Dt.08:03; Ps.119:103; I
Pe.02:02).
It is the instrument of the Holy Spirit, (Eph. 6:17), desires
act in our thoughts, (Phil. 4:08), in our
words (Cl.04:06), in our feelings
(Fp.02:05), and in our procedure, (I Pe.01:15).
How to study the Word:
•READ, acknowledging what she says, and of her
Author, (Is.34:16; Dt.17:19).
•Do a daily reading, (Dt. 17:19-20).
Study it with a good attitude, the right motivation,
reverence, (Ne.08:01-12; Jas.01:05-08).
•Meditating on it, (Ps. 119:15-16).
Ways to learn the Word:
Reading it; Listening to it, Writing it, Harmonizing it,
Studying it, Visualizing it, Memorizing it,
Confessing her. Using her as a weapon against all the
devil's lies in our mind.
Application of the Word:
Apply it in your life and apply it to your needs
of the world.
119
MEDITATION ON THE WORD
120
1. Why meditate:
What is meditation?
It is the spiritual process of digesting texts
biblical in such a way that they become a
active part in a person's life.
It is to take the thoughts of God and reflect.
about them. It is also the key to a
intimate relationship with God that must be
developed daily (Ps. 01:02; Js. 01:08).
It is the deepening of the relationship and
knowledge with God, with the purpose of
change the behavior and life of those who practice.
Many people think that meditation is something related
to a mental gymnastics, or something mystical coming from
influence of transcendental meditation, others still
they believe that meditation will become an analytical study
From the word, the scientific method is none of that.
Meditation is:
Digest, feed on the word of God;
First-hand revelation;
To have communion with the God of the word;
Purification of the mind;
Holy Spirit teaching us and opening our
understanding, our mind.
3. What is necessary to meditate:
Meditation on the word of God is essential.
for us, because it is the weapon of the Spirit and also
feeds our Spirit (Eph. 06:17)
121
A person is sensitive to three worlds: Spiritual,
Mental and Physical.
The spirit of man is the faculty that confirms.
they will be the scriptures of the word of God. (This is only
possible if the individual received the Holy Spirit of
God in his spirit). A person who was born of
new knows that the word of God is true. That
it means to assimilate from God in your spirit.
Now, what is necessary for this assimilation
What happens?
Time (Ef.05:16);
Discipline (Proverbs 25:28);
3) Clean heart (Ps.51:01; Ps.24:03-06);
4) Humility (I Pd.05:05);
5) Soul and spirit quiet (Ps.46:10);
6) Leadership of the Holy Spirit (Ex.33:14,15);
7) Resistance to Satan (1 Peter 5:8-9; James 4:7)
4. How to meditate:
Have the material (bible, notebook, pen,
agreement and dictionary;
In a quiet place with good conditions;
-In short excerpts;
Reading the text several times (Is.34:16);
-With a set time;
Thinking during the day about what you meditated on
(Sl.01:02;119:97).
5. Results of Correct Meditation:
Purification of the heart (Ps.119:9);
122
Spiritual strength and the power of the word; trust
through the word of asking something from God knowing
that he will do it (John 15:07);
Understanding (Ps. 49:3; 119:99);
Wisdom (Ps. 119:24; Prov. 04:04);
We will not be ashamed (2 Timothy 2:15;
Sl.119:06)
Ability to understand thoughts of
God, or what He has drawn for us (Ps. 24:04-
05; Prov.02:01-05);
Understanding the character of God (Job 42:01-06);
Stability spiritual (Mt.13:21-23;
Proverbs 3:1,2
We will bear fruit in due time (Ps. 01:03);
A successful and prosperous life (Ps. 01:02-03;
Jr.01:05-09);
Victory over our weaknesses.
6. How to divide the time of meditation:
-05 min. Pray seeking to have a clean heart;
-10 min. Praise the Lord;
-15 min. Personal intercession;
-30 min. Meditation on the Word.
THINK: “How much of my life has already been affected
by the Word of God that is in my spirit?
God wants His light to penetrate our spirit, and
give it all over the body.

A) ORIENTS THE PREACHER:
Personal presentation
Self-criticism
Dependence on God
B) HELP THE PREACHER:
Coordinate the sermon ideas
124
Stay on topic
Time the sermon
Feel more secure
GIVES TO THE PREACHER:

125
THE MESSAGE:
It must be received from God and not from
human knowledge
Should never be inspired by movies, music
profane, novels, etc...
It must be received through prayer and
consecration
It's not about opening the Bible and exposing everything you know.
repeatedly (there is no growth)
God knows who the listeners are, giving them
necessary message
Trending Topic
It is not advisable to address themes that provoke the
people against public order
BEHAVIOR IN THE PULPIT (While waiting):
03 TYPES OF PREACHERS:
Those who relax
Those who go to the extreme of vanity
Those who face the issue in the proper terms
ATTITUDE TO AVOID:
Converse with colleagues unnecessarily
Crossing the legs awkwardly
Clean the nose scandalously
To comb oneself
Stay reading the Bible and taking notes
To be restless or awkward
Passing in front of the conductor, taking hymns and
governing them
Exit the pulpit
Irreverence
126
CONSISTENT ATTITUDES:
Pray upon arrival
Post naturally
Reverence and joy
To accompany the leader
NO PULPIT PREACHING:
ATTITUDES TO AVOID:
-Create a new period of worship
-Apologizing (diminishes authority)
Speak very quietly
Shouting all the time (microphone)
Use background moral language
Make exaggerated or inappropriate gestures
Stomping on the pulpit
Unnecessarily repeating biblical expressions
Repeat language vices and expressions
-Apply a trick by making the listeners
make a decision
Leaning on the pulpit inappropriately
Change the message
Drink water in the middle of the preaching
Looking all the time to one side only
Use expressions of insecurity
TYPES OF MESSAGE WE CAN
DEVELOP:
1) THEME (topics)
2) TEXTUAL (verse or text)
3) EXPOSITORY (analytical)
127
Theme - any subject can be discussed, there is
development amplitude.
Danger - Secularism
2)Textual - the structure corresponding to the order of
facts of the text. The division is made with the own
words of the text.
You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.
Develops: - Truth that sets free
Freedom given by the truth
Rise... With eagles - power to defend
They run and do not get tired - power to face
crises
They walk and do not tire - power for life
daily
P.S.:
The hours of vision (rare and do not remain)
The days of process
The years of hard work
DANGER
Not all texts can be divided.
Artificial sermons - without background study
from the text of the word
Draw lessons that the text does not teach.
3) Expository: Apparently an expository sermon
involves the textual treatment of a passage
quite extensive, while a textual sermon
it will be the expository treatment of a passage
shorter.
128
Exposition: it is grouping successive comments of
a passage that seems long and disconnected
between each other.

FORGIVENESS
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO TALK ABOUT FORGIVENESS?
To talk about forgiveness is to talk about God, it is to talk about grace, it is
talk about the ability to offer to others a
erased memory, without records, without sorrows, and without
tattoos of resentment. To forgive is to let be born from
new in our own history, without the memories that
they made him an unpleasant memory. To forgive is
to hand over to God the right to deal with the offenses of
offender.
Lack of forgiveness – names given: hatred, barrier,
clash of personality. Lack of forgiveness is
resentment and resentment is to relive the offenses and
feeding negative emotions.
You may be hurt, but your reaction is what matters.
determine how you are before God: growing
You are becoming bitter. We need to learn the purpose.
from God in offenses. The bitter and hurt person
one needs to look at the situation from God's point of view.
The secret of forgiveness lies in understanding that
my reaction to what happened is more important
for God than the offense itself and than the person
through which the offense was given.
THE IMPORTANCE OF FORGIVENESS
It is a requirement to be forgiven (Mt.06:14)
2. It brings freedom, with forgiveness comes security:
Spiritual
Psychological problems
Physical problems
131
3. It is protection for spiritual conflicts (Lk.17:04;)
Ephesians 4:32
Rm.12:19).
God allows the believer to be hurt or offended
to give you the opportunity to become sensitive to the
needs of those who offend him.
2-CHARACTERISTICS OF FORGIVENESS
It is a commandment, it is different from an option (Luke 6:32-36)
It is universal (Lk. 23:34; Acts 7:60)
It is unconditional
It is unilateral
5. It has to be a constant attitude (Mt.18:21-35)
We have to keep in mind that all of us
we are debtors;
We need to understand that all of us
we found grace;
Not forgiving my neighbor is treating others
not how God treated me;
Everyone who has received God's forgiveness has
a perpetual commitment to act on others
the same forgiveness;
Those who do not forgive place themselves under judgment.
of God once again.
6. Forgiveness is a choice we make and not a
emotion (Cl.03:13; Jo.03:15)
Our free communion with God is only possible when
we forgive.
(I John 4:20; Romans 12:8)
3-FORGIVE WHOM?
1. To the parents - many harbor grievances against their parents for

The church is undoubtedly one of the most difficult places.
of establishing interpersonal relationships, what
it may seem strange... it is usually in the church where
one brother feels offended against the other.
Mt.18:15-17 - It is in this spirit of insistence that
we must live, in this quest to give and walk more
miles, to do everything, everything to win the brother.
The text we read speaks of forgiveness, the chapter

any reason is a cause for separation.
Moses allowed divorce because of the hardness of
hearts, that is, it is the bitter medicine of God,
however, forgiveness can cover even that which
Jesus made room for divorce, adultery. Without
forgiveness, there is no marriage that survives (Mt.18:08).

We need to be cautious in forgiving and asking.

2. Ask for grace from God and accept it by faith.
There must be confrontation (Rom. 12:19-21)
3. Go back or start doing the best possible for the
person.

4. Discipline the thoughts, do not accept
resentful thoughts against the person.
5. Intercede for the person and bless them in prayer.

II- ATTITUDES OF LACK OF CONTROL / CONTROL (I
Co. 13:04-07)
PASSION LOVE
135
FEAR: Gen.03:10 – First manifestation of
lack of self-control (Prov. 29:25; John 3:25) - we are manipulated
through fear when we lose control: fear, rejection,
comments about it not working out, about not being
reciprocated, from being alone, etc.
LOVE BELIEVES ALL
DUPLICITY OR DUALITY: Liking two people
at the same time (bigamy), God's plan is for two
they will be one flesh.
Lack of willingness to wait for the
God's time or confirmation. We speak without thinking,
one proceeds to ponder, to feed the heart with falsehoods
confirmations, vain imaginations. Proverbs 19:12, Proverbs 20:21.
LOVE WAITS FOR EVERYTHING
JEALOUSY: Insecurity, possession, rivalry and
competition, fear of losing something, envy. A
peace must be the referee in our hearts.
LOVE DOES NOT BURN WITH JEALOUSY
FOLLY: To act with a lack of understanding,
precipitous and inconsiderate, without sincerity, without
seriousness.
LOVE DOES NOT TREAT LIGHTLY
PRIDE: Awakening feelings in other people
generating pride. Pride arouses feelings in
important people / status / leadership, the most beautiful,
the richest, etc.
LOVE DOES NOT GET ARROGANT
INCONVENIENCE: Feeling ashamed after having acted?
To be inappropriate, meddlesome, troublesome. We speak
136
besides, we want to call attention, we lost the
naturalness, one plays too much breaking boundaries.
We can like and be sober and natural. No
we need to make efforts to be noticed.
LOVE CANNOT BE CONDUCTED
INCONVENIENTLY -
EGOISM: Wants to be happy. However, we must wish that
The other to be happy. Pursuit of their own interests,
centralized relationship.
LOVE DOES NOT SEEK ITS OWN INTERESTS
IRRITATION: Linked to jealousy and contempt, but to
the root is anxiety, anguish, distressing uncertainty,
burning desire.
LOVE DOES NOT BURN WITH JEALOUSY
RESENTMENT: Vain imagination - Revenge.
He passed by and didn't look. He is talking a lot with
that guy, it must be to make someone jealous.
LOVE DOES NOT RESENT EVIL
LIE: Does not satisfy with the truth.
He believes in lies / I think he likes me.
He tells lies / we are just friends.
LOVE SATISFIES ITSELF WITH TRUTH AND A
JUSTICE -
137
These characteristics can be found in
who is not yet in a relationship or is already in one
relating.
IDOLATRY: To deify the person we like / position
unreachable. II Sm.13:1 and 2 - out of control / fell ill /
center and reason of life.
How to observe this?
How long has the person been occupying our
thoughts and if such thoughts are connected
with Jesus.
PLANNING: We outline plans for conquest.
II Sam. 13:03-06 - self-pity (without naturalness
based on lies. When we can't be
extroverted and communicative. Ex.: I am alone, so
sad, I don't have friends, my family doesn't
understand / console me / manipulation and lies. Ex.:
"casual" encounters.
LOSS OF UNDERSTANDING: Not giving the chance to the
The Spirit convinces us of sin and makes us become
Like animals before God. Hosea 4:11; Psalm 73:21-22.
Emotions surpass reason and our understanding and
we are guided by them. We see attitudes not with the
eyes, but with vain imagination.
INCONSTANCY: We do not want to listen to God and any
advice seems like persecution and we do not heed it.
We remain in our own principles and in
our worldly standards.
These characteristics are what often lead to,
unhappy unions and unequal yokes.
138
III - CONSEQUENCES OF LACK OF CONTROL
Deception and confusion
Deceived by our feelings: We are
easily awakened either by occurrence, influence,
touch, glances, etc. and often it does not come from God,
but we think so that we are enjoying.
When we are out of control, we will never have
certainty of our feelings.
Deceived by the 'prophet': Loss of control – idolatry –
extremes and exaggerations. The loss of control is the gap that the
enemy uses to deceive us, for we are
vulnerable. We centralize (the conquest of the person and
not conquering the will of God in our lives) –
idolatry.
Ez.:04:01-11 – We are deceived by the prophets because
cause of the idols in our hearts. I Co.14:04.
Exhort, build up and console.
-Another exclusive prophet - Bible - to point with the
I give the verse.
We must seek with a clean heart and free from
our selfishness.
The first verse says no and the other twenty are yes.
-CONTROL:
The basis of control is desire, that is, our attitude.
of faith to have our feelings under control.
feelings
It involves emotions and we do not have direct control.
I WISH:
139
Our will, choice, which we have control over.
I don't like so-and-so.
I wish to like (choose)
This is the principle used for forgiveness, I do not feel.
I want to but I choose to forgive and it is God who gives us the
grace.
Gn.04:07 God commands us to dominate the
our desires and he is the one who dominates ours
feelings.
We need to ask God to fall asleep
our feelings like an anesthesia for the
surgery, the pursuit of controlling our feelings.
- Unstable. Motivated by rejection and resentment.
It's not enough to be lying down / without sleep.
It is based on selfishness and pride or
resentment.
I can manage without liking.
I don't want to like anyone anymore, no
I want to suffer more.
Since it will not be that person / then it will be
that one or no one.
- Stable or constant. Motivated by fear of the
Lord. A firm and secure way in which God us
makes you fall asleep and is based on prayer
waiver of rights / choice and obedience to
God's guidance.
The principle is to seek from God that He puts us to sleep.
Gn.02:21 what does it teach us?
140
Falling asleep does not only mean not enjoying it.
from someone, but we need to trust in God and
rest in Him.
Rm.05:01-05 God wants to pour out His love in
we, and this requires struggle, renunciation, willingness, and choice.
STEPS WE MUST FOLLOW TO BE
CONTROLLED
1-Confess the faults – the sins caused by the
loss of control, the lies, the plans, independence
he, attitude and thoughts etc. try to probe the
your heart, God will be pleased to give you a heart

2-Confessing your needs – your deficiencies,
your desire to have a partner
your dependence on Him for control and for
stay controlled etc. do you know yours
heart / do not be ashamed of God / be sincere.
3-Surrender of your rights - Right to marry,
to possess the person you like, etc.
It's the most difficult and important part for
we achieve control mainly if we already
we are.
Am I giving up on God?
If we are out of control, we will never have
certainty of this.
And if it is not from God and you are persevering?
Because of this uncertainty we must consider

wake up later. Fp.03:07.
141
God knows with whom to unite us, the right time,
We must be aware that He knows how to take care of us.
and that He meets all needs and deficiencies.
4-Taking our feelings captive to God
prayer and desire to be controlled, ask Him to
Let it rest. Fp.04:06-07; Cl.03:15
We need to rely on the Holy Spirit.
This is the beginning, we are going to be resting and
going through God's treatment for control
that will result in good fruits.
5-Acting in obedience regarding the change.
CONSEQUENCE OF CONTROL
SAFETY AND DISCERNMENT:
If we persevere in walking in the light we have, God
will give us the conditions to discern, will guide us if what
we are feeling whether it comes from Him or not. Heb. 5:14;
Fp.03:16.
We don't need to reject the feeling as something not
spiritual what we have to do is discern if it comes
or not of God.
If we are allowing God to control our
feelings we will not act and therefore we will not have
but the feeling that emotion is not spiritual
and we will be more protected so that we do not make mistakes in
our choice.
HOW TO PERSEVERE IN CONTROL
142
1-Monitoring – If we are out of control (our
attitudes) and if we are out of control we must
return to principles and rest. Ct.02:07
2-Praying – Always placing before God our
feelings.
3-Resting in God – Trusting and waiting
that he operates in our hearts and at the right time
He will awaken you for the right person. Lam.03:26;

RELATIONSHIPS
1:16
Relationships are for giving and not for taking.
Relationships stem from mutual commitment and
delivery, not of mutual need.
Relationships are broken for the following reasons:
a) Sin (either you sin against someone, or someone
it is against you;
Ignorance (Not knowing people well, Not
to know the principles, not to know the Word of
God, the principle of forgiveness);
c) Misunderstanding (that which you thought you said,
it was not what the other person thought they heard;
d) Lack of communication (not putting communication in
the right place of priorities, insensitivity;
e) Gossip (talking about a person in their absence, or
to transmit things heard here and there, without permission
or the presence of the interested person);
f) Wrong attitudes (reacting wrongly to a
situation. To react with selfishness without caring about
the freedom and well-being of the community)
143
g) Speak incorrectly (precipitation; to express oneself)
in advance about any subject);
h) Strong will (neither party wants to give the
arm to twist
i) Lack of attention (relationships are built
for the attention given to another person);
j) Time (we need time to dedicate ourselves-
move to another person).
Relationships are formed because of love -
we always think about
love stories between a boy and a girl, but
Is a pure relationship and a friendship possible?
deep between two girls or boys.
Without the fear of the Lord, no relationship
valid, not uplifting. Even a hug can be impure.
fear of the Lord.
I Cor. 13 (What is my attitude?)
Patience, kindness, Not jealous, Not
proud, No resentment, Does not rejoice with the
error, but rejoices in justice, not rude,
persevering, always believing, hopes, endures.
5) Relationships require loyalty - Like salt
gives flavor, preserves and gives
cohesion to food, loyalty demand:
a) Non-artificial sincerity - This means not a
agreement, to agree blindly,
another delivery that is total. Defend when not
there was no one to defend.
b) Salt in conversion - Unambiguous, not insinuated, not
indirect.
More confidence and truth (Mt.12:34; Col.04:06).
144
6) Relationships that last always begin
in God (Ps.127).
Forcing a relationship is the same as kidnapping. Kidnap
the attention of a person.
Each a person needs: to be appreciated,
recognition, acceptance, respect
consideration, company, receiving compliments.
And they may have certain barriers to receiving this from
others: Inner wounds,
fear of rejection, self-sufficiency, neglect, self-
interest, resentment and bitterness, insensitivity.
8) The importance of relationships. God's perspective:
Calvary.
The main reason in the life of Jesus was love for
someone: you and me.
The greater goal in the life of Jesus was to restore our
relationship with God.
9) Relationships they are asking for a call for
restore. Invest everything that it is
I need to see restoration in the life of the other person.
Mt.18:12 "left the 99" - Nm.12 "Moses and Miriam".
LOVE PERSEVERES BEFORE, DURING, AND AFTER A
CRASH.
We need a greater revelation of love
eternal, persevering, unchanging of God, the Father.
Relationships are born from forgiveness.
Matthew 18:21 and 22.
145
Sexual Revolution
THERE ARE THREE REVOLUTIONS IN OUR TIME:
1- Violence: God gave us a defense mechanism. There is
was used for violence.
2-Occultism: Ability in our spirit to
communication with the invisible world. If man
is not a Christian and seeks hidden things, finds
satan
3-Sex: God gave us sex as one of His
best gifts. If people are not under
of the Lordship of Christ, they will use it for destruction.
146
It was God who created sex. Sex is a pure thing,
it is holy and meant to be used in a holy way. For many
youths instead of being a blessing, have been a curse. Sex
it is about relationships between people. (Gen. 1:27,28)
Sex mainly includes responsibility;
There has been an attempt to annul this responsibility and live

Lasciviousness (defrauding).

3. Thinking (how are our thoughts? Only
in sex?)
WAY BACK TO GOD:
To make you an authentic Christian.
Be honest with yourself.
148
Destroy any sexual influence that affects you.
Make a gift of your love to Christ.
Seek to be filled with the Holy Spirit.

DEFINITION: Small problems that prevent us from
spiritual growth. When we do not grow,
we regress. Practical things of everyday life.
1)ENVY - Hatred and disgust provoked by joy and
prosperity of others. Desire to possess a good.
that another possesses or enjoys.
(Greed) Hb.13:05 - Be content with what we have and
we are.
James 3:16 - For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there.
confusion.
I Co.03:03 - Things of carnal men...
Jealousy is never satisfied with what it has, always wanting more.
the others are better.
Displeasure - Lack of pleasure, displeasure, sorrow and
aversion.
Greed - Desire to obtain material goods.
Content- To become happy (joy and
happiness
There is no reason for us to have envy in our hearts.
Our values are not those of God, that's why
we think that there are differences, but everyone
ministries are important to God. We must
to be satisfied with what we have and who we are.
150
2) MURMURING - To complain in a low voice, to say
sickness of something, dissatisfaction or
dissatisfaction with something or
Circumstance. The root of murmuring is ingratitude.
If we are grateful to the Lord for everything
we murmur.
Ex.16:08 - The people of Israel for 1 month and 15 days that
they were in the desert, murmuring, speaking against
Moses and Jethro, but mainly they murmured.
Count on God. Regardless of this, God shows Himself to be faithful.
and the supre. That's how it happens to us.
When we complain, we do so against the Lord.
Num.11:01 - After so much time... still
they were murmuring and this made the Lord
anger!!! (contrast with Ex.16:08).
3)GOSSIP - Intrigue, to divulge a secret with the purpose
badly conquered.
Bad conquest: Obtain bad results, bad
such as: defaming someone's image, obtaining things from
glory to oneself, remove the person from the position they hold.
Lev.19:16-18 - to walk with gossip, to hate in
intimate.
COMPARTILHOCA: Apparently to share
as a reason for prayer, and then tells the secret to
whole church. Destroys even ministries. Reject them.
4)PRIDE - Elevated thought of oneself.
Exaggerated self-love.
Pride: Excessive pride, arrogance. Sl.131:01
(David-declaration to God).
SELF-SUFFICIENCY: Don't trust anyone. Only
he is capable (Prov. 1:32).
OBSTINACY: Reluctant, stubborn, obstinate
inflexible to the own will of God (1 Sam. 15:23).
151
Satan wants to lead people to two extremes:
Pride and Self-Pity (self-compassion, pity of
himself), after all he fell because of pride,
arrogance (Rom. 12:03).
The best way to combat pride is with
humility. (Recognition with that which
we have).
LIE -Falsehood, deceiving people, to say
half truths. Eph. 4:25; Rev. 21:08; 22:15 - what
they deserve - hell.
Cl.03:09 -things of the old man.
John 8:44 - Devil, father of lies.
We have to be true! This is the principle of
God, and in every situation He has a way
certain and wise to guide you.
Lies with others;
Lies against oneself;
Illusion - harboring such a feeling in the mind, this
lying to yourself.
JESUS = WAY = TRUTH = LIFE.
Oh no, it is not 100% true, it is a lie.
6)IRA - Selfish reaction of self-defense. Gal.05:20 -
It also does not come from God (Col. 3:05-08).
ANGER: A violent impulse against what irritates. It is a
reaction of a heart empty of the grace of God.
Eph. 4:26 - I cannot choose whether I will be angry or
no. This is an unconscious anger, natural to being
human... a momentary thing. Different from anger
thank you in the heart, conscious and temporary; (lack
forgiveness, revenge) is a sin.
152
To think: It is better to make the mistake of waiting, than
what to miss in the precipitate.
7)CONCUPISCENCE - Disorderly desire (food,
sex, pleasure, etc...). Usually when you have this
disordered desire in food, is also present in
sex.
I Jo.02:16 - Proceed from the world & Gn.03:06
parallel
Good for eating = lust of the flesh;
Pleasant to the eyes = lust of the eyes;
Desirable to provide understanding = pride of life.
Mt.05:28 - again, intention of the heart.
The intention can be sin, both in appetite
how much in sex and pleasure.
8)IDLENESS - Unoccupied state, lack of
work. Ez.16:49 (abundance of idleness).
Learning to plan time, having goals. This prevents
of falling into idleness (Ec.10:18; Pr.21:25).
Remind the Time: Laziness causes misery
(Pv. 06:06-11) - lack of productivity, both material
how spiritual.
9)INDIFFERENCE - Apathy, insensitivity, discouragement,
negligence, doing things in any way.
Jer.48:10 - Cursed is he who does the work of the Lord deceitfully.
calmly.
Ap.03:15 - Church of Laodicea - God was at
point of vomiting it out... lukewarm disinterest -
good/bad.
We remain indifferent to what God is.
doing. God wants us to know what He wants
153
to do through us. He wants to accomplish it together with us.
We need to escape spiritual anemia.
10)FRIENDSHIP WITH THE WORLD - Tg.04:04 - more or less
less friend of the world, less enemy of God.
Give more time to the things of the world than
for God.
I John 2:15 - Do not love the world. The love of the Father is not
it is in him.
Eph. 5:11 - Do not be a participant with the world.
Mt.06:24 - The context talks about riches (Mammon),
however, the essence, what I want to emphasize is not to have 2
gentlemen.
Rom.12:02 - Do not conform, but transform,
that has the same shape, to accommodate, identical.
This renewal comes from God, let us seek it.
11)INDECREDULITY - Missing of Faith.
Rom. 3:3/Hb. 3:12 Away from God.
The incredulous will not inherit the kingdom of
God.
Two areas where disbelief takes over:
a)Financial - prefers to act with its own arm
(does not rest in God);
Sentimental - prefers to act with feeling.
12)LACK OF FORGIVENESS - Heb. 12:15 - Root of bitterness.
Do not allow contamination.
Mt.18:23- God forgave us a greater debt.
There was a remission of sentence. We need to be willing.
to forgive.
154
THE CHRISTIAN
E
THE ENEMY
SPIRITUAL WARFARE
155
We are light and that is why Satan is keeping an eye on us.
us. If we are going to attack our enemy, we need to
to meet him.
What is Satan?
1) Before: Anointed Cherub.
2) Now: Fallen angel and prince of the world, of the power
of the air (Eph. 2:2), of the darkness (Eph. 6:12).
The goal of Satan since his fall is to hurt the
God did this using man, masterpiece of
God.
4) It is also important to know our strength
against Satan.
Victory of Christ:
1) He liberated the captives of Satan, (Eph. 4:8-10;
Cl.01:13)
He took all the captives from the kingdom of Darkness and took them
to the kingdom of light.
3) God has power and has given His children power over Satan.
(Lk.10:19; Mt.10:01; Mk.16:15-20; 1 Jo.04:04)
4) Christ called us to fight against the devil,
to possess the kingdom of darkness (John 12:31).
HOW TO BE A WINNER:
Jesus | We – Satan
We have authority when we are in Jesus, if not
for in this way we will not have victory over Satan (Luke 7:01-
We only have authority when we are underneath
of authority.
156
Two reasons why a Christian is defeated:
1.1) Not knowing how to kill the enemy. Satan uses,
mainly, with the Christians the influence of
fear and if we accept his influence we will
to be dominated by him.
1.2) Has sin in your life. When we have
sins in our life mean that we are
debilitating our communion with God, and not
we are under His authority and then He
cannot hear us, cannot help us. If we are
living in sin we are a step away from
our defeat (Is.59:01-02).
Basic Strategies:
When we are in a fight, we need to know the strength.
of the enemy, our own strength, the weaknesses of
enemy, find out how we will fight.
2.1) Discover the strength of the enemy (II Co.04:04). A
a positive point that Satan has in his favor is
that he blinded people's understanding
The world is in the devil.
2.2) Weakness of the enemy. Fallen angel (Isa. 14:12). Already
is judged and condemned (Jo.16:11; Rev.20:20).
It cannot do harm (1 John 5:18)
THE POWER OF GOD
His Majesty (Ps. 96:05-06)
His glory (Ps.138:05; Ez.03:12)
3) His holiness (Ex.15:11)
4) Your wisdom (Dn.02:20)
5) His greatness Ps.145:03
6) His power Ef.01:18-23)
157
GOD'S WEAKNESSES: THERE ARE NONE
PREPARATION FOR BATTLE:
Take your position (Eph. 2:5-7)
2) Take your authority (Luke 10:19)
3) Take place of protection (I Ts.03:03)
4) Put on the armor of God (Eph. 6:10-18)
THE WEAPONS OF OUR WAR:
1) Name of Jesus (John 14:13) - Our life must
to be in accordance with the life of Jesus.
Your blood shed on the cross, trust and faith
in what Jesus did there on the cross.
3) Power of the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:08).
4) Sword of the Spirit. The specific word - to decorate.
5) Humility – giving all glory and praise to the Lord
(Is.42:03; Ap.12:11; Cl.02:150)

each person to God (1 Tim. 2:04; Luke 15:07-10).
b. FIVE VERSES THAT TALKABOUT THE GREAT
COMMISSION:
1. Mc.16:15 - Everyone needs to hear the good news of
salvation.
2. Lc.24:47 - Emphasizes the content of the gospel;
we must preach the
regret.
3. John 17:18, 20:21 - I am sent by Jesus, I represent the
your person.
4.At 01:08 - the emphasis is that we must do this in
power of the Holy Spirit.
Sent by Jesus in the power of the Holy Spirit.
5. Mt.28:18-20 - "All authority". If Jesus gives us

3. CHARACTERISTICS OF EVANGELISM:
a. It's something practical.
It starts with a prayer.
c. It is the way used by God to save souls (I
Co.01:17-24).
d. It is the way to know faith and activate it in hearts
(Rom. 10:14-17).
4.TWOS BARRIERS WE ENCOUNTER IN
EVANGELISM:
a. SPIRITUAL: We must seek a perfect from God
understanding of the domain
from Satan upon man and we go prepared with
the armor of God, knowing that we will invade
enemy territory. We overcame this barrier through the
prayer (2 Cor. 10:04-06).
b. REGARDING CHARACTER: Many times we neglect
this responsibility
that is above us. we do not want to relinquish our
rights, leave our networks, bread, families, friends,
etc... We overcome this through our obedience to
principles of God (I Co.09:16-17; Ez.33:07-08).
5. WHO SHOULD EVANGELIZE? AND WHEN?
161
a. WHO: Everyone who has received salvation in Jesus.
no, gift of some
(Jo.20:21; AT.01:08)
b. WHEN: Always (2 Tim. 4:02).
6. WHY SHOULD WE EVANGELIZE?
a. It is a commandment (Mt.28:18-20; Mc.16:15; Pv.24:11;
Isaiah 58:01
b. Because we love Jesus (John 14:21-24; 15:10-14).
c. Because we have been empowered as witnesses
(At.01:08; 05:28-32; Lc.24:45-
48).
d. We were made fishers of men (Mt.04:19).
We were made co-workers of God for liberation
two lost from
slavery of sin (I Co.03:09-10; II Co.05:18-19).
f. Because God wishes to save the man who is
lost (I Tim. 2:4; II Pet. 3:9).
g. So that we do not have our hands stained with blood
alien (Ez.03:17-21; 33:07-
09).
h. Because the natural activity of the saved (II Co.04:15;
At 04:20.
i. Because we want to abbreviate the return of Jesus (II
Pe.03:09).
j. Because I want to make the heart of God happy (Luke 15:07-
10).
7. METHODS OF EVANGELISM:
a. MASS EVANGELISM: Ex.: John the Baptist, Peter

what this person has for God. do not be mechanical.
b. DISCERNMENT: When and how to speak and what to say.
Sometimes God takes you
a key subject for a person's life. Ex.: Jesus

MERCY
(Narrow view of the gospel)
Passage for opening: Is.58:06-12
1.The word 'gospel' means 'good news'.
The gospel, or the good news of the Bible, is that God
loves us and has provided a way for everything
what is wrong in our lives - and in the rest of the
creation, be straightened. The "good news" of God
includes the truth:
God has provided for our salvation.
(Rm.01:16);
That all of creation will be released from the fall
(Rm.01:21);
That all things, in heaven and on earth, will be
reconciled to God (Col. 1:21)
God sent Jesus to minister, not
only for the spiritual need of man,
but also to minister to the needs
physical and social aspects of it (Luke 4:18).
2. When Jesus and the disciples preached the gospel,
was associated with meeting the needs
physical needs of the people. Lk.09:06, when Jesus sent out the
disciples going out, they preached and went from
I find physical needs through healing.
The Bible tells us that the people of God are to express
in the world, God's concern is for those
that those who do not know Him may see His love.
Mt.05:16, our good works will lead the people to
glorify God.
165
Some believers err in thinking that the church should
just worry and get involved in things
spiritual, such as helping people to have faith
in Jesus. The Bible clearly teaches us otherwise.
form. Tg.02:17-17, if we say that we have faith
but we do not minister to the physical needs of the
People, our faith, or spiritual life is dead.
5. If we are not active in ministering to the
physical and social needs of the people, such as
also yours spiritual needs, there are then
a good reason to question whether we are or not
disciples of Jesus. I Jo.03:17, we cannot
to say that the love of God is in us, unless
let's express our love in a defined way,
real, as well as spiritual.
6. The primary commandments of Jesus are:
Love God - Mark 12:30;
Love one another (brothers and sisters in Christ)
John 13:34-35
Love our neighbor - Mt.07:12;
Teach other people around the world to
also obey these commandments -
Matthew 28:19-20.
7. Interesting that, in the New Testament, whenever
the two commandments of the Great Commandment -
Loving God and loving our neighbor are added together.
in one commandment, it is summarized as 'loving
our neighbor" (Mt.07:12; Rm.13:09; Gl.05:14). A
the reason for this is found in 1 John 3:17.
8. The illustrations that Jesus and other writers of the New
testament gives us to love our neighbor
focus on meeting physical needs.
Luke 10:25-37, the story of the Good Samaritan. Matthew 25:31-
166
46, Jesus tells us that whenever we minister to the
the needs of the poor, it is to Him that we minister.
CONCLUSION:
a) God cares about physical needs and
social aspects of man - as well as his
spiritual needs. This good news of
God's interest (concern) for everything in
our lives – instead of just with our
souls – it's part of the gospel.
b) God commands His people to love others in
ways that show Your interest in the
physical, social, and spiritual needs of man.
EXERCISE:
1.Ask the question 'how much have we understood the
God's command that we love our neighbor?
2.Ask the Lord to show us where we have been
infidels in showing Your love to others, besides the
spiritual ways.
3. If necessary, we will ask for forgiveness for our lack of
understanding and also asking for help so that
let's know how to be a better disciple.
4. Decide on a way (as an individual – or
as a group) of how you can demonstrate the
God's concern for a neighbor, not a believer,
that has a physical need, between today and the
our next meeting.
5. Using the guide below, write the plans of when and
how will you do this.
167
6. Share the plan with someone else. Pray for one another.
Ask for God's guidance and His blessing on
as you execute your plans.
7. Be ready to share your experience in
our next meeting.
PLANNING GUIDE
STEP A: What do you plan to do to demonstrate the
God's interest in the physical needs of a
neighbor/nearby
STEP B: When will you do this?
STEP C: The person will know that their "good deed" is a
expression of God's concern for them?
If so, how?
STEP D: Before the next meeting, write the
results of your "good deed". Bring this paper with
you stop for the meeting.

II. CONCEPT OF CHRISTIAN DISCIPLESHIP:
It is the process that develops through
commitment-based relationship,
involving the transmission of the life of Christ through
part of the discipler, thus generating change
character to the point that the disciple comes to produce
others.
173
Process - Relationship - Commitment
Transmission of the life of Christ - Change -
Reproduction
Life impact
Example of life
Generate offspring according to our species
Obedience to Jesus' invitation to follow him
Learn from the Lord Jesus
Inspire others to follow Jesus.
III. CONTENT OF CHRISTIAN DISCIPLESHIP:
1. Testimony of the gospel (What I am)
Relationship base (Paul and Timothy)
Transmission of Jesus' lifestyle.
2. Teaching and counseling (What I say)
In the area of Teaching, there will be METANOIA (change)
of mind, takes care of the person's information), change
of values and principles. Any teaching has the
information that brings formation. It is the education that goes
bring transformation (Romans 12:02), change,
knowledge of sin by the Spirit. The teaching leads to
perfection.
Counseling will help us in liberation, because
certain people are trapped in some situations and the
counseling is an effective tool in this case.
In the dictionary, to advise is to convince someone, but not
that would be our role. The spirit convinces, we
we provide the conditions for this to happen. It involves the
the interior of the person, their upbringing and not information
encouragement, exhortation, guidance, reprimand
character treatment.
174
3. Exercises of Gifts and Talents (What I do)
Our skills and professions can be vehicles
to exercise justice and love and to be against the
current system of values, promoting changes.
IV. OBJECTIVE OF THE DISCIPLESHIP:
Generate disciples who reach maturity
spiritual, awakening them and encouraging them to generate
other disciples.
Generate disciples who live the principles of God and
be thus, ready for the transmission of the Gospel
and your service in the Kingdom. This shows the effectiveness in
service of the Kingdom of God.
V. PHASES OF CHRISTIAN DISCIPLESHIP:
1st Phase: LEARNING
Mark 4:10-13; shows Jesus exhorting the disciples
through parables.
Know how to listen to instructions
Obey orders from authorities without murmuring
• Pay attention to the methods of the Spirit (leave the old ones
concepts
Understanding life differently through
changes in values and principles
Phase of implementation of the truth
It is important for a person to be open to listening.
In this phase of Learning, it is important to learn to
art of listening, of obeying orders coming from
authority. It is the moment to learn that it is the Spirit
that will directly impact life, and will understand the
175
a different way of living due to the implementation of
truth.
2nd Phase: SANCTIFICATION
Hebrews 4:12 and Isaiah 55:10,11; the word is profound.
will sprout and provoke different attitudes.
Process of obedience to what has been learned
Liberation
Change of attitude
Consecration
3rd Phase: REPRODUCTION
John 21:15-17; only through brokenness
Peter is the one Jesus can delegate functions to in the Kingdom.
Breaking.
Understanding our role, gifts, and skills
for the service of the Lord.
Desire to glorify the Lord.
Reproduction is the understanding of our role in
to have children, which is why one only moves on to this phase when
we reached the breaking that is the fruit of the phases
previous.

6. Seek to know the Scriptures more and more (Hosea
06:03

seek Jesus, focusing on Him and not on us to avoid
disappoint (Philippians 3:13,14)
8. Live a transparent life (Philippians 03:12)

necessity.
VIII. THE CHRISTIAN DISCIPLER:
It is the obedient disciple who understands in his
growth process that needs to generate offspring
spiritual.
It is he who recognizes his own weaknesses.
(we are all disciples in growth), however
seek to overcome them with true testimony.
It is not possible to wait for spiritual maturity
to start discipling. When one reaches the
breaking is reaching maturity.
Breaking is being ready for change.
Maturity is recognizing areas of weakness and
always seek to overcome them, that means being treated
For God. Maturity means brokenness and
humility.
The discipler is one who invests in
relationship, and this does not mean being sociable, it is
through the relationship that we can minister.
Characteristics of the discipler:
to have life with God
b) Responsibility
178
c) Service
d) Love
e) Dedication
f) Fear of the Lord
g) Testimony
Invest in relationships
IX. THE DYNAMICS OF DISCIPLESHIP:
In the discipleship process that begins with the
Jesus' rescue, we become dead to sin and
books to live your life (Galatians 02:20). What is
it is based on us resembling Jesus, knowing the
God is making Him known. His Word and His Spirit
they will be our source of guidance in this process.
X. FUNCTIONS OF THE DISCIPLER AND SOME CARE
NECESSARY
ON YOUR PART:
1. Help the disciple to hear the voice of God.
2. Show him some opportunities that God uses
for your transformation.
3. Help the disciple to identify such opportunities and
respond positively to God.
4. Observe and position yourself as an intercessor so that
Jesus is being born in the life of the disciple.
5. Understand the individual value of each disciple, seeing-
or under the prism of God like Jesus.
6. See the disciple as a person who has
experiences with God on a different level.
7. Think of him as a person that God desires
shape, guide, and use in a tremendous way.
179
8. See the disciple as a person of value, worthy of
respect and the right to choose (freedom of
choice).
9. See the disciple as a person who has their
wounds, insecurities, levels of experiences
various spirituals (relationship with God), level
different regarding: intellectuality, education,
culture, psychological maturity, limitations,
potentials.
10. Understand that some people have a
more active capacity to assimilate information
received faster (divergent), and that others
they are attentive but do not assimilate so much
speed; that is why it is necessary to want to know the
discipline and not be satisfied with appearances.
11. Consider that for the disciple the process of
Discipleship is something new, and that he initially does not
recognize your importance to your life.
12. Also consider your previous experiences
in relation to authority (spiritual) over your life,
needing thus to learn submission.
13. Seek the balance between being a friend and being a leader
spiritual, maintaining respect and authority
spiritual needs.
14. The discipler needs to be a person of
hope that sees by faith what God wants to do and if
put on the role of encourager in the midst of so much
challenges.
15. The discipler needs to know the disciple well
to be able to discern what is sin and what is
personal characteristic, due to your differences
as to character, temperament, and personality.
16. The discipler must use above all things
thing the relationship and the testimony as points
180
basics of your discipleship (the relationship with
love and wisdom are more effective than anything
another method used).
17. The discipler must encourage a transparent life.
where you need to first of all know your
manipulations, insecurities, problems, habits, etc.
so that changes can occur.
18. The discipler must create an environment of
patience, prayer, faith, love, friendship, wisdom, good
communication, so that the power of God may
transform your disciple.
19. O a discipler should seek a better
time utilization in your interviews,
experiences and activities with the disciple,
understanding that we have great potential in
each one of them.
20. The disciple-maker in situations of rebellion must
exhort and correct in love, thus creating a
security environment.
21. The discipler must ensure that vigilance
Be constant in relation to the fear of the Lord.
In this way, discouragement and rebellion do not reach.
advantage over your heart. We have to live the
discipline so that we reach maturity, something that
it becomes natural when exercised. Discipline refers to
effort, dependence on God, perseverance.
22. The discipler must know how to work with the
stages of discipleship, knowing the right time to
delegate and assign responsibilities to the disciple.
23. Know how to recognize and rejoice in victories,
encouraging him to persevere and continue.
24. Take care with the what to share, we must have
fellow bearers of the yoke and not sharing burdens with
our disciples.
181
XI. ABUSES AND EXCESSES IN DISCIPLESHIP:
a. Domination, possessiveness; not converging attention
for Jesus but for yourself.
b. To deviate from the truth, and this is a process
progressive (observe motivations, half-truths,
intentions, etc.
c. Super protection generated by insecurity, care
exaggerated based on fear, on pride, in
immaturity, in the distortion of who we are in God,
egocentrism. The disciple can be destroyed by
cause of the master and his teaching, giving and space
for the enemy (Philippians 02:06). We have to do the
disciple think and make their own decisions;
facing your weaknesses and confronting them
seeking to overcome them, becoming responsible for
your actions. Dependency makes us see the
disciple like a puppet.
d. Improvement; distortion regarding authority and
leadership, imposing rules and manipulating according to
your convenience, seeking reward for your
work, instigating him with spiritualized threats.
Exercising condemnation and judgment over the disciple
putting him in a condition of slavery. The exercise of
leadership must be carried out with maturity and
moderation. The motivation of our disciple to follow
it must be our example inspired by Christ.
e. To try to take God's place in the life of the disciple.
Wishing to help the disciple is one of the traits of
disciple maker / counselor who has a heart
fatherly and loving, however losing the sense of limits
This help is detrimental, we need to recognize that
we don't have all the answers.
182
f. "Savior of the disciple"; God is zealous, however the
our way of caring for life
a disciple can be a way to interfere in what
God wants to do in their lives. In many situations the
a person needs to go through the impact of situations
to be able to learn from God.
g.Adopt humanistic concepts in discipleship, such as
ideas of freedom, lack of absolutes which
they constitute the biblical principles.
h. Violate the disciple's privacy, disrespecting the
man's free will given to him by God. Not
making unnecessary inquiries, causing
constraint, insecurity, and uncertainty.
i. Be careful with the level of friendship established, to
that there should not be a superficiality, only one
excessive intimacy. Friendship needs to be
cultivated with respect and wisdom.
j. Prevent singles from discipling married couples, addressing
marital matters, as they need to be informed
of your limitations.
k. Prevent singles from discipling people of the opposite sex
the opposite, to avoid emotional involvement or
sexual (1 Thessalonians 5:22).
XII. POSSIBLE CONDITIONS OF THE DISCIPLE:
Lie - It can be expressed due to lack and
need to be accepted. Spirituality can be
a habit to impress. Being transparent is being
what it really is.
2. Reckless judgment - Relationship difficulties
it could be behind this. It isolates and points out mistakes.
Everything is wrong. The lack of knowledge of
God (grace) because of distorted values, if
183
feels wronged. Believes it is immaturity to want to care
of the others.
3.Escape and irresponsibility - Symptom of a person
that lives by emotions and not by obedience. Lives
with functions of dreams and reality does not captivate them,
therefore, do not assume the present. They are marked by
previous fears and frustrations. They need to be
open to hearing God and being treated.
4.Sensuality – Distortion of relationship with the
opposite sex, resulting from frustrations in
past relationships, needs, problems
affective, spiritual influence, difficulty of
personal acceptance, the impulsivity itself.
5.Impulsiveness and haste - Has no patience
in waiting for God's action and acts impulsively.
Want an immediate answer from God to your
questioning, this generates anxiety and causes that
the person lives in a state of anxiety. One must
think before acting so as not to live in reactions
spontaneous.
6. Laziness - Often understood as
insubordination, the person tends to be negative because of
not having a certain position. Lacks initiative.
7.Seek self-honor - One should seek it in God.
humility, to strive to do things without deserving
personal merits. Learn the importance of serving
acting with the opposite spirit. It stems from a lack of
acceptance, wishes to have a certain position and this gives way to
pride.
8.Leadership tendency - Tends to be parallel to
discipler, competing with our leadership.
Minister who seeks in God the right time.
9.Excessive worry – It stems from a lack of faith or
of problems with which it has been living for a long time
184
time and that there is no possibility of change; the
which generates insecurity and lack of knowledge of
God, usually connected to finances.
XIII. INDIVIDUAL DISCIPLESHIP:
Developing relationship
1. Try to get to know the disciple in the first contacts:
Show interest in the disciple (try to find out about
your life, details, likes, preferences, etc.
Be kind
Learn to remember your name and your story
•Ask questions that show interest and acceptance
Being a good listener
2. How to know your interests:

the disciple has for his life
Discover your strengths
Encourage him by mentioning the qualities you see in him.
his life
Show interest and confidence by being a friend of
disciple
3. Be a friend and a leader:
Living transparency while maintaining a relationship
sincere, but with wisdom
Remember that emotions should not guide

Take care with the personal testimony in the community
Try to do activities together with your.
disciples
Create different situations to be with him
185
Be ready to relinquish your time and privacy
Be balanced in your investment in life
disciple, prioritize moments and situations that come
worth it
Take care that your tongue is a source all the time
of blessing, and your attitudes reflect in Jesus friend and
very close
4. Help develop character:
Be sensitive to listen and detect everything about the
disciple, both weaknesses and potentials
Encourage your potential
Seek God for guidance in counseling
related to your weaknesses
5. Help in their behavior, observing and guiding
about:
Submission - Obedience (broken heart).
Attitudes towards authorities
Relationship - Love / service (to the brothers,
ministry, communion). Attitudes within the
relationship. Moral conduct with the opposite sex,
not defrauding the brothers
Personal care – Organization, hygiene
•Responsibility and discipline - Attendance and
punctuality. Engagement and participation (classes,
activities, small group). Completion of tasks
Spiritual maturity – Relationship with God.
Breaking (obedience). Intensity of search.
Meditation / Intercession / Praise
6.Assist in the disciple's ministry, observing and
guiding about:
186
a) EVANGELISM - Testimony. Love for the lost.
Participation in impacts, theaters, evangelism
people
b) TRAINING - Seeking knowledge. Desire to
relation to teaching and counseling. Participation and
performance in the area
c) MISERICORDIA- Service. Empathy (compassion).
Participation (initiatives, projects)
7. Help the disciple understand God's purpose in
your life:
Be willing to help him
Incentivize him in the search
Help him get confirmation about his call
Help him to demystify ministerial life, which leads to
see the call as something distant and future, not
facing the present as reality and a requirement
of responsibility
Make him remember that God teaches us to serve, to accept
leadership, responsibility and fear of the Lord in us
commitments and agreements, and what He says does not contradict
your own principles.
Teach him that the ministry begins in SERVING with
joy seeing this as the will of God
• Show values related to functions and tasks in
real sense of service
•To guide him that a ministry is not always defined in
ETED, but when we engage in the local vision
serving, fitting ourselves according to our
skills, gifts
XIV. GROUP DISCIPLESHIP:
187
Advise each other
(Colossians 03:16)
Some observations to be noted by the leader:
The leader must be a motivator and an encourager.
for participation and development to occur
group
2. The leader needs to express the group's purpose and o
the reason for him to gather, showing what he
waiting of each disciple of this group
It is necessary to organize a schedule of activities,
studies and debates, thus showing the methods that
will be used, as well as how many times the
meetings will take place (the whole scheme must be flexible
in relation to some new guidance from the Spirit
4.As a leader, it is necessary to create an environment of love.
and care to generate trust, openness and
acceptance. This is a lengthy process, it does not
it manifests quickly, so be patient.
5. The given content must always be connected with the
practice and personal application
6. Don't forget that it is the leader who has the reins,
therefore do not allow dispersion, confusion and lack
of direction
7. Promote the integration among the disciples
8. Encourage everyone's participation
9. Observe your disciples as a person who has
contribution to give on the subject discussed, and not
only as listeners of the theme
10. Remember that your program is less
more important than people
11. Do not allow your group to close itself off in a
exclusivism
188
12. Be careful not to exert excessive control over the
group
13. Do not focus on the conformity of opinions,
thoughts or doctrines, do not personalize opinions
issued
14. Try not to work with a group formed by
more than 7 people, ideally 5 to 7 people, with
in very rare exceptions, one can reach a number of
10 people
15. Do not allow the strong personalities of the group
dominate the group, but encourage the shyer ones to
they will also share
16. Take care with the prior preparation of the subject
addressed, do not bring up topics that you do not have
domain really
XV. TIPS FOR BETTER UTILIZATION IN
DISCOURSES AND GROUP STUDIES:
1. Start by asking questions:
What was stronger for the disciple?
b) Ask him to talk about something new he learned
c)Ask about what he was encouraged to take
some act of obedience
2. Don't make studying a sermon:
a) Make a small biblical introduction
b) Ask questions about the tickets
3.Ask questions to the people who talk the most
initially, making this an invitation
for others to participate.
4. Ask questions that promote discussion:
Who?
189
What?
c) Which?
Where?
How?
f) Why?
5. Try to prepare the questions in advance.
avoiding questions whose answers are YES or
NO.
6. Get ready to receive questions like:
a) What are the other ways to view the subject?
What do you think about this?
c) How is this teaching applied?
7. Try to summarize opinions and thoughts to be
draw a conclusion before moving on to another
subject.
8. Do not allow the topic to be evaded, nor for there to be
obscurity (lack of clarity) about what you
wants to pass as a principle and its application.
9. If during the course of the study, any disciple exposes
something personal, if it's not embarrassing, leave the group
participate with a prayer, a word, an encouragement,
ministry; if not, advise to address the matter
later with you.
XVI. AGENTS THAT HINDER INTERACTION IN
SMALL GROUPS:
A)The judge - always ready to throw the first stone.
You need to learn to season with grace and forgiveness the
your statements. It is important to remember that in groups

THE RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR LOCAL CHURCH
This study is designed to help workers of
JOCUM to establish and maintain a good relationship with
your churches and friends who support them and pray for
they.
Experiences have shown that in comparison
those who have a good group of supporters
helping them, in proportion to the wear of missionaries
without a solid support base of friends or your own
the local church is very tall. The biblical example of Paul and
Barnabas and their relationship with the Church of
Antioch (Acts 11:14) offers us an example of
"ideal" for missionaries today. The gifts and callings
they were recognized by the Church of Antioch. They
were sent by this Church (Acts 14:26), and when the
their first trip ended, they returned to the
your local church. The Church trusted them and gave them
freedom to do what was in their hearts
as they set out on their missionary journeys.
PRINCIPLES RELATED TO YOUR CHURCH OF
ORIGIN
The example of Paul's relationship with the Church
from Antioquia gives us many principles that are quite
applicable to missionaries today:
194
The local church has the opportunity to be the Body
for shipping.
2. The people who are sent by a local church
they become an extension of the ministry of this church.
3. The local church becomes a resource of strength and
blessings. The emphasis should be on prayer and support
financial, for when people pray for you
and they become aware of their needs
financial, they become answers to such
prayers often.
Alocal church that has a vision for missions and
seeks to promote and encourage missions among its
members generate the opportunity to create
responsibility. We all need to be under
the responsibility of a group of people, and
this is protection for us. The advice, wisdom,
prayers and the pastoral care of the local Church in
they offer the responsibility that we all need
Ter.
Do you have a place to return to when you
need for spiritual renewal.
6. The church of Antioch trusted Paul and Barnabas and
did not try to control their ministry, once
that I had already sent them, but at the same time
they honor the relationship they had
with the church and communicated and informed the church
about your ministry.
This does not mean that your livelihood has to come from.
from a single source. Paulo received his livelihood from
many churches and friends. When you are in
harmony with a church and they recommend you,
this gives you credit and puts other possibilities into action
to make a living. People will see that you are
195
recognized by a good Church and will feel secure
for this fact. But the most important thing is that God recognizes
that you followed biblical principles and will work in
your favor performing miracles of provision. John Stott
he said: 'Independence from the bad church,
cooperation with the church is better, and the assistance is like that
an arm from the church is even better.
The principles described above clearly show
the ideal relationship between a missionary or worker
part-time and your local church. It is also clear
that it is not always possible to have the ideal. But wherever it is
possible, then every effort should be made for the
type of healthy relationship described above.
If you are from a small church, or your church
do not trust in keeping a missionary or a short-term worker
deadline in interdenominational missions, or if you
comes from a traditional church that only supports its own
own programs, you will be able to have the type
of the relationship like the one Paul had with the church
from Antioquia.
WHEN YOU DON'T HAVE A HOME CHURCH
A question is always asked: 'What if I don't have
a church or relatives from whom I can receive support?
I know that God is calling me to be a
missionary, but what can I do?
We believe that it is God's will that you
be part of a local church, if possible do so
part of a community where a is built
testimony of fidelity: manifesting a heart of
I serve and am loyal. As your exercise
ministerial and its missionary vision to grow them

this way you will have prayers and support, including financial.
This doesn’t happen overnight; it takes time.
effort and firmness on your part. Hudson Taylor said:
A light that does not shine at home does not shine in
"no other place." If you have a calling
missionary, it is important to be part of a church that
be initially committed to Missions and open
to send members of your membership to programs
denominational or interdenominational. If you do not
There is a church that should sincerely seek for one.
(a group of believers) who have vision, and if possible
serve in this church faithfully until God confirms the
your calling. Still, you must seek the blessing
from their spiritual leaders, and in any case it must have
tried to be a faithful person in the church so that it does not
oppose your involvement with Missions, based
in your lack of fidelity or services not -
provided to the church.
The purpose of the local church includes serving those who
they have a missionary calling, and if your church does not
can or will not encourage you to discover the will
God regarding Missions, the Lord will provide
other mature Christians to provide you with the support you need
you need. Maybe it comes from a study group
biblical or from a relative or even from a friend, or
perhaps even from several churches that will feel
confirmation in your hearts from the Lord of
that should keep you, as well as pray for you. If this
for your case, make sure you are living
in acts of submission to your local church,
even if God is guiding you to take steps
focused on Christian work, with which they do not
they agree. If their objection is simply a lack
of maturity on your part, and they feel happy
197
to be maintaining groups such as JOCUM, then
you have the responsibility to earn approval
themselves first. If you have doubts or questions in
any of these areas, maybe you should
seek advice from other mature Christians or leaders
so that knowing your situation they can give you
objective advice.
Preparation to be sent
Before you are sent by your church, there
some steps that should be taken, which will make it easier for you
a little more to life, once it begins
work period. Please be diligent in seeking
to the Lord about these things, and do not just remain
signed by presumption. Your relationship with your
local church and with those who support you is very
important and precious, in such a way that you need to be
be careful and pray a lot about how to execute the
following principles.
ADVICE: Of course it is very important that
you spend some time consulting with your
pastor, ministers, and leaders of your local church
before leaving, we hope that you have already done
this before contacting JOCUM. It is necessary
submit the plans with humility and carry them
seriously, consider the advice that your pastor and
leaders will give you. Try to know any
policies that your church has regarding
Missions and missionaries or short-term workers
deadline that have already been sent and how they
act in relation to your situation.
198
2.SUSTENANCE AND PRAYER: When your plans with
the relationship with JOCUM has been confirmed is
time to start ensuring in prayer and
to raise financial support. The ideal would be the
better would be to find 10 people who
wished to commit to prayer with
relation to you and this regularly. Maybe
some friends help to establish a group
of prayer before your departure. People who
lift your needs and burdens in prayer
and with which there is freedom to share
but details that are usually not written
in the informative letters. It would be interesting
write to this group with a greater
frequency of writing letters
informative. It is also very important that
have continuous communication with your pastor
or any other pastor who helps him or you
keep it, even if they don't have time
to respond.
3.COMMISSIONING: Ask your pastor if
Is there a possibility of being sent publicly?
by the church. There may be a service or a
opportunity to share about your
future ministry. It is good that the church prays and knows
that you are leaving with their blessing and
beneath your prayers.
4.INFORMATION LETTERS: Your communication
regular with those who pray for you and the
maintaining is a sign of love and commitment for
with them. The level of their communication can
affect the level of commitment of people with
you (if you are going to another nation
work, something that would be of great help would be to have a
199
person who wished to take on the
responsibility to take care of your
correspondences sending them to you and
delivering those you send, and also
communicating your prayer needs, it is
less burdensome if they are placed in a
local mail). Once you are in
JOCUM, we are going to give you some suggestions and
principles that will help you write letters
of prayer request. If you don't like
send letters or information about yourself, still
so it is important that there is communication with
those who are praying and keeping you.
RETURNING TO YOUR CHURCH
He was involved in YWAM, in DTS or with the
practical period, or is it simply going to
license house, there are some adjustments that will need to be made
to be faced when returning to your church. For
Please note carefully the following
suggestions and prepare in prayer to be a
blessing for your church and friends, as well as leaders.
Such adjustments are common to all missionaries.
the short-term workers, both in YWAM and in
any other organization.
Most of those who work at YWAM are
in the short term, like 2 years or less. We are
called as Mission to offer this service to
Body of Christ. We are grateful to God for all.
those whom He has sent to work with us
for a practical time or with a program of
training (about 10 to 215 thousand people per year), and
200
we feel privileged to be able to send these
people back to their churches or groups to which
belong. Obviously, a person's life will not be
changed in 3 months or 1 year, but this time of
experience can be a valid contribution to the
life of a person.
The nature of many short-term programs in
JOCUM is something that we believe the Lord has us
led to establishing to help mobilize a greater
number of Christians for His Work. We
we recognize it as one of the ways God calls the
people for a longer time in missionary work (or
confirm to them that he has not called them.
Staying at YWAM or returning to the local church,
both are privileges and calls from the Lord for us.
As a Mission, our prayer is that those who
may those who work with us be blessings when they return
for your churches of origin. Please pray that
may this be a reality in your life.
1. Remember that the local church and the agencies
missionaries have callings and purposes
different therefore cannot be compared
between each other. The occupations and functions of both are
completely different. The church plays
a role that a missionary agency would never
could assume, as it is the basic structure of
Body of Christ that provides teaching and care
pastoral that is essential for the vast majority
of the world today. The church makes there be a home
spiritual for all who are called by
God to be salt and light in a normal society.
without the local church, perhaps it wouldn't exist
missionary organizations, because the believers
201
locations provide financial support and
prayers to support the work of Missions
worldwide pioneers. Being called by
God to serve in a local church being one
a member and faithful witness is a great calling
of God and should be taken with great esteem.
Frequently a young person returns to their home
after a while of very experiences
exciting, where there were prayer meetings
daily, friendships and good relationships with
other people who were in an atmosphere
spiritual, excited to share with the
others in the streets about their faith, and discover that
although the people from your local church appreciate
their experience they do not share the same
enthusiasm. It is then that the temptation comes to
comparing the daily routine of a church with
full-time work.
If you are preparing to return to your
local church stay alert! Do not compare the
missionary experience with the local church, they
they are called different things. The world will never be able to
to be reached by full-time missionaries.
It can only be reached by those who are
called by God to dedicate himself to work
like in factories and offices thus reaching the
society. They also have a special calling
from God that needs a lot of attention.
Sometimes it is easier to go out on an experience of
short term than to stay and be a
faithful witness in work or school. It is
maturity and commitment are necessary, someone
may be trustworthy and persistent.
Obviously, it is important to have a greater reach
202
special evangelistic, however the missionaries
they do not have a strict regime of evangelization.
If they are not a type of person who can
to settle into a 5-day-a-week job, 92
weeks in the year, they will not last long
as missionaries.
The effective value test of an experience of a
the time in YWAM will be to be able to transmit such
experience serving the local church. It is important
prove to the church that you can be a servant
diligent, wanting to do everything that is asked of him
requested with a very joyful heart. Prove to
your family that you are a transformed person,
making your bed, helping with the dishes and
doing your tasks with love (without needing
being remembered), showing dedication in
your work. So, you will be ready to listen
to God if he wants you to be a missionary!
2. When you get back home, do not feed your
church with the "JOCUM soup", share what
God has been teaching you, but be careful in
not to talk so much about YWAM or about YWAM
to avoid tiring people. Every organization has
the trend of using certain terms frequently
and JUCUM is not an exception to this. Therefore, take
be careful to explain what you mean
when to use unknown expressions for the
too much.
We have said everything there is to say about
respect for your return to home and church of origin,
but it is good to be excited about how much God loves you
I used it in a practical way or with what He did in His.
life in ETED; but it is also good to ask God
203
put in your heart a special love and a
appreciation for those who stayed in the local church
and they have been faithful. After all, they made it possible that
you could leave!
If you do not have this type of respect and
appreciation, pride may grow in your
heart and you will tend to compare your
experience with the "normality and methodism" of
your local church and may also become a
critical and begin to distance oneself. Comparison can
lead him to the vanity and pride that produce a
critical and distancing attitude. If after 6
months in your church you are not helping in
Sunday school or not working or
going to school, and in return being
becoming a critical person, in what it contributed,
or what was the value of your time and your experience in
JOCUM?
Start talking about 'Intercession' or in 'Seeking
"God's guidance," the Lord may use you
to challenge others to go out on Missions and the
your enthusiasm can be a great blessing,
but give glory to the Lord for all that He has
done. Perhaps the Lord can call some in his
church to work with a program
denominational or with another organization
missionary. Praise be to God! We do not
we want to build YWAM, but the kingdom of God.
3. If your church does not have a department of
Missions or a leader responsible for missions to
help you adjust when you return to the
Church integrating it into the life of it, ask for
pastor so that he points out or indicates someone who
204
may be with you regularly; because you will
to seek advice from a wise person and
fearful to help you, as you go
working with what God shared
with you while you were at YWAM.
4. Return to the same church that sent you. If
you were thinking about changing churches before
even coming to YWAM, you have an obligation
to the Church that sent you, particularly
if they prayed for you and supported you
financially. If after 1 year of work
dedicated in your church, you continue with
desire to go to another church, talk to your
pastor about the subject. if you do not proceed
thus, you will be betraying the trust of the church and
putting YWAM in the position of causing your
exit.
5. If you are planning to go out on leave, look for
address this in advance with your pastor.
While you are in the Church even if only for
for a time, make sure your pastor
understood the reason why you will stay in
house and ask for your support. The church can wait
that you get involved every Sunday during
this time, while you plan to rest or
visit other churches that help you with
finances. Make sure you left this well
cleared so that you can assist, cooperate
with your local church as well as solving your
personal issues.
