And Now What
And Now What
Rafael W. Harris
The day the Apostle Paul converted to the Gospel, he was like dazed.
because he didn't understand what was happening to him.
It was what Jesus called 'The new birth'; a precious experience through which they have

the first questions that Saint Paul asked the Lord was: "What do You want me to

CHAPTER ONE
What happened?
John 1, 2 and 3
What happened to me? Very good question, and very important.
Knowing what happened and what it means will help him for the rest of his Christian life.
It happened in the church, or in their own house, or anywhere else. Someone was
beside him to help him, or perhaps you were alone, or wasn't it something like that? He felt
in need. Somehow he knew that Jesus Christ could help him and asked him.
that came into his life.
Well, and what is all this? Let's put it in a simpler way: Two things.
have happened.
Christ is now HIS Savior.
You are now a child of God.
We call this salvation. It is likely that someone has already told you.
mentioned that you are safe.
Maybe right now you are asking yourself: what does this mean? Saved from what?
Why did you need to be saved?
God wants us to know three extremely important things:
1.-That we are sinners.
2.- That we cannot save ourselves.
3.-Only Christ can save us.
The Bible says: 'All have sinned' (Romans 3:23).
This includes you and me. It also says: 'The wages of sin is death.'
(Romans 6:23). This kind of death is spiritual and eternal.
We cannot save ourselves from this death, nor by our good deeds.
works, nor for being members of any church or for trying to be good. The only
the way to be saved (here the word 'saved' appears) from condemnation is
get rid of our sins.
Now, how can we be saved? Jesus provided the way by dying on the cross.
When he did this, he took our place and suffered our punishment. When we ask
to God who forgives our sins and we believe that Christ died for us,
God accepts us because of Christ; our sins are forgiven and Christ
he himself is our Savior.
But something else has happened, you are now a child of God. A child of God? What
What does this mean? Look at it this way: when you came into the world, you received life.
natural of their parents. That is why they resemble them and possess many of their
characteristics.
When Christ came to be your Savior, he brought you into a new life. Spiritual life,
the life of God. The Bible calls this the 'new birth' (John 3:3). By the first
birth, you are the child of your earthly parents; by the new, or second
birth you are a child of God, of your Heavenly Father.
This is very important! You now have two natures. The nature that
received when it was born for the first time. We call this the life of the "self", and the
nature that received in the second birth. Since Christ is now living
in you by your spirit, we can well call it the 'life of Christ'.
According to your birth, whether first or natural, you can be an adult or a young person.
or a child; but according to the second or spiritual you are a little boy, a baby. It has
received new life, but it is just the beginning.
Your spiritual life has to grow. You would not wish to remain always being
a spiritual child; you long to become a mature Christian.
In the coming days, I will show you how to grow spiritually. It would be useless.
how important these days are. You will establish new rules for the rest
of your life. You will determine for yourself what kind of Christian you will be. If
carefully follow each suggestion, you will become a happy and fulfilled Christian
satisfied.

John 1:12
In the last part of the first chapter, I told you that you are a spiritual child and that
It needs to grow. Isn’t it regrettable when due to some physical affliction, a child grows
in their body but mentally remains a baby their whole life? Well, it is
even more terrible when someone becomes a child of God through the
salvation and then stops developing spiritually.
This doesn't have to happen to you. If you follow these instructions, you can easily and...
quickly become a strong and mature Christian.
First of all, remember that your spiritual life depends on Jesus Christ, the Son of God, 'The

from the Bible, do not confuse it with the Gospel of St. John.
The verse prior to this tells us that 'God has given us eternal life; and this life
it is in your son.
Christ lives in you. Do not forget it.
Receiving life is not enough, you must nurture that life. When the child is born
In nature, it dies if the parents do not take care to feed it. It must
nourish that life so that it can develop.
This also happens in relation to the new spiritual life. If you nourish it, it will grow; if
the careless one will also die.
It's that simple and it all depends on you.
Let's see now, what things will help you in this growth?
The Bible
Tomorrow we will talk more about the Bible. The use or neglect of the Bible
will determine the kind of Christian you are going to be. This is why we suggest that

Sentence
In chapter four, we will talk about the various kinds of prayers and how to pray with
effectiveness. The simplest way to define a sentence is to say that it is to speak with

Determining what is good or bad is asking ourselves: Will this please God?
Let this be the rule of everything I do or say. I am pleased to tell you that maturity

CHAPTER THREE
As I explained in chapter two, the Bible is one of the most effective aids.
for the spiritual growth of the individual. There are five ways by which the Bible
can become part of you:
Set a reasonable task. Start by reading for about 15 minutes in the morning and
perhaps the same time when going to bed at night. Bring your New
Testament and read it at noon.
For your devotional readings, use a Bible in which you can underline the verses.

great spiritual benefit.
Study the Word
This will take you more time, but it is worth more. At the end of each chapter, you have
a little bit of study to occupy oneself for now. For a study, after this
a week will need more time, at least an hour or perhaps some afternoon that
have free.
Texts to memorize:
Juan 7:37; 8:12; 8:32.
FOURTH CHAPTER
The Bible can be compared to food because it nourishes our spiritual life.
Thus, the sentence can resemble breathing. Breathing has two
movements, inhalation (bringing air in) and exhalation (expulsion of
air). So it is with God in prayer; we approach God and then he answers us.
approaching us.
The person who says, 'I don't have time to pray' is one hundred percent correct.
You should make time for prayer. A good habit is to do it while
that we read the Bible. Moreover, I know some people who read their Bible
being on their knees, and thus, if any truth touches their hearts, they stop a
moment and pray about it.
You will never become a mature and established Christian without a prayer life.

the problem is to direct your prayer in a different direction each day. (At the end of the book
you will find some suggestions regarding this.

Intercession. The day will come when you will feel responsible for the need of
another person in such a way that it becomes a "burden" to make them pray until obtaining
the assurance that God has answered their prayer. This is one of the most
important sentences because in them we forget about ourselves to focus
our attention to others. How much need there is for this kind of prayers.

How can I become a strong Christian?
Power to overcome

Surrender to God. Trust in Christ as your helper to overcome. A certain one said once a
little girl: "Jesus is more powerful than Satan, so when the devil calls on
