a) If f ( x )=−2 x +3, find:
(i) f (x+ 1) (ii) x if f ( x +1 )=3 (4 marks)
b) (i) Factorise and solve the equation 3 x 2+13 x – 1=0.
(ii) Complete the square and solve the equation x 2 -6 x +¿ 5 = 0. (6 marks)
c) Find the value of 𝜃 in the range 0 ° ≤θ ≤ 360 ° given:
(i)sin=−√ 3/2 (ii) tan=−√ 3 (6 marks)
d) Sketch the graphs in the interval [0, 360 °]:
(i) y=2cosx (ii) y=sin2 x (4 marks)
