LESSON PLAN IN ENGLISH 10

Time: 7:30-8:15am (45 minutes)
I. OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
A. identify the techniques in public speaking;
B. instill the value of camaraderie through public speaking; and
C. deliver a speech using the techniques in public speaking.

Public Speaking and its Techniques
B. Grade Level Standards:
The learner demonstrates understanding of how world literature and other
text types serve as ways of expressing and resolving personal conflicts,
also how to use strategies in linking textual information, repairing,
enhancing communication public speaking, emphasis markers in
persuasive texts, different forms of modals, reflexive and intensive
pronouns.

Employ the techniques in public speaking in a sample public speaking

A. Preliminary/Preparatory Activities

*This will be done by the students through a Read Aloud Technique.
B. Development Activities (Motivation)
1. "Protect Your Candies"
*The class will be divided into 3 groups and the teacher will give 10
candies per group. The teacher will flash questions on the screen and
students will answer the question and follow a specific rule. Students must
protect their number of candies to win the game. *
Direction: Read carefully the instructions per item and answer the question.

Pair Activity: Speak Up, Stand Out
*The teacher will instruct students to pair up, take 2 minutes to prepare their
work, and then present it to the class in 3 minutes. *
Direction: Find a partner and work together to review and prepare your work
for 2 minutes. Afterwards, present your speech to the class in a 3-minute
presentation.
