professional life, refers to the unfair treatment of an employee or job applicant
on the basis of protected characteristics such as race, gender, age, religion, or
disability. Despite the existence of anti-discrimination laws in many countries, it
continues to manifest in various forms, from overt bias to subtle, systemic
disadvantages. Addressing workplace discrimination is not only a legal and
ethical imperative but also a crucial step toward building a more equitable and
productive society.
The effects of workplace discrimination are far-reaching, impacting not
only the individuals who are targeted but also the broader organization and
society. For the individual, discrimination can lead to a host of negative
