TECH THERMAL ENGINEERING PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
THE DEPARTMENT VISION MISSION
The Department of Mechanical To develop Academic excellence through quality
engineering was started in the year professional and educational practices for successful careers in
1986. It imparts quality education socially Mechanical Engineering
through highly motivated and qualified responsible Research and development in Mechanical
faculty. Students are taught the Mechanical Engineering Sciences
updated curriculum and trained with Engineers to serve Equipping Mechanical Engineers to address
modern equipments/machinery. humanity societal needs by imparting professional values
1. Course Title : M. Tech (Thermal Engineering) – Full time
2. Duration : 2 years
3. School / Department offer the course : Mechanical Engineering
4. Programme Justification :
The stream of specialization in 'Thermal Engineering' offers courses related to theory and applications of
thermal engineering. The Thermal Engineering course lays emphasis on real-time applications of fluid flow and
heat transfer in Thermal energy systems and Refrigeration & Air Conditioning systems. The core courses are
designed to provide the students the required base for undertaking specialized electives and the project in the
fields of Heat Transfer, Fluid Dynamics, Thermal Design and development of various components. The students
are engaged in doing the practical classes in various laboratories such as Heat Transfer Lab, Computational
Fluid Dynamics Lab and Advanced Thermal Sciences Lab.
5. Eligibility (course & marks) : Four year Engineering graduation in B.E/ [Link] in Mechanical,
