Sequence 1 (The Arrival)

Scene 1

Ext. Front door of a house. Night.

Facade of a partially illuminated house.

(Urban and environmental sound)

Padron arriving from work takes out the keys. He searches among them for the door key and inserts it into the
bolt.

(Sound of sighing)

REGISTER
he looks tired.

Scene 2

Int. Hall. Night.

Quiet environment, light on.

Padrón turns the doorknob, the light goes out as the handle turns. He opens the door, shakes off his shoes.

Int. Kitchen. Night.

Small kitchen, clean but some dirty breakfast dishes can be seen.

Padrón walks to the refrigerator, opens it, and takes out a jug of water and a glass. He pours himself a drink and drinks it.

Int. Room. Night.

Padrón heads towards the air conditioning and turns it on.

Example of a literary script

The literary script is a text that contains a story that has been designed to be
narrated in images. The screenwriter specifies in it the actions and dialogues of the
characters, accompanied by general descriptions of the places where
the action unfolds along with directions for the actors. The story should be written from
in a way that is visible, but without giving technical instructions for the execution of the
movie not about the camera work.

Literary scripts are written in aspecific formatthat allows the director,


the actors and the rest of the production team can interpret the
easily text.

Below we present the script format for the first two scenes.

SHORT FILM LIVE YOU

INTERIOR. HALL-DINING ROOM. DAY

We are in an apartment. The front door opens and RUBÉN enters.

leave the keys on the hanger. Walk down the hallway and enter the dining room,
where is GUILLERMO (23), sitting at a table, engrossed in it
that look like chemistry experiments. On the table, there are test tubes,

RUBÉN

GUILLERMO

Nobody answers.

William!

He puts down the ladle and heads towards the hallway.

RUBÉN
I'm coming!
