OPENING
Anchor 1:
"मुरली की मधुर तान सुनो, कान्हा फिर से आये हैं,
हाथों में माखन, नटखट हँसी, सबके मन को भाये हैं।"
A very divine and blessed morning to everyone present here! Today is no ordinary morning — it is the
dawn of Krishna Janmashtami, the day when heaven kissed the earth, and the music of Kanha’s flute
filled the world with joy and faith.
Anchor 2:
Absolutely! Krishna’s birth was not just a historical event. It was a reminder that no matter how deep
the darkness, the light of truth will always find a way. He was born in the prison of Mathura, under the
shadow of fear, but His arrival shattered the chains of despair.
As the Bhagavad Gita proclaims:
'परित्राणाय साधूनां विनाशाय च दुष्कृताम्।
धर्मसंस्थापनार्थाय सम्भवामि युगे युगे॥'
Meaning: To protect the righteous, destroy the wicked, and establish righteousness, I appear in every
age.
Anchor 1:
And today, dear friends, as we gather here, Krishna’s message is alive once again — faith over fear, light
over darkness, and love over hate.
This morning’s celebration will take you on a divine journey: from the powerful faith of Khatu Shyam Ji,
to the playful charm of Krishna Leela, from the soul-soothing Bhajan Sandhya, to the sacred Maha Aarti.
Anchor 2:
"Janmashtami is not only about Krishna’s birth in Mathura; it’s about Krishna being born in every heart
that believes!"
Anchor 1:
And before we begin this divine journey, let us invite Krishna into our hearts by lighting the ceremonial
lamp — the flame that symbolizes wisdom, purity, and the victory of truth over darkness.
Anchor 2:
Yes! Because as the scriptures say:
'दीपस्य प्रकाशे कृष्णस्य दर्शनं भवतु।'
Meaning: In the glow of this lamp, may we see Krishna Himself.
Anchor 1:
As the lamp is lit, let it not just brighten this stage but also awaken devotion in every heart.
Together (with energy):
Come, let us begin this grand celebration with faith, love, and joy!
Jai Shri Krishna!
KHATU SHYAM JI DARBAR
Anchor 1:
"Dear friends, our journey now brings us to the divine darbar of Khatu Shyam Ji — the form of Krishna
who blesses the faithful and answers every prayer of devotion.
Khatu Shyam Ji’s story is one of supreme sacrifice and faith. He was Barbarika, the grandson of Bhima, a
warrior whose strength was unmatched."
Anchor 2:
Yes! He possessed three arrows powerful enough to end the Mahabharata war in a single day. But
Krishna, knowing the consequences, tested him. In that test of faith, Barbarika offered his head without
hesitation.
Krishna, deeply moved, blessed him:
"In Kaliyuga, you will be worshipped as Shyam. Whoever prays to you with true faith will never leave
empty-handed."
Anchor 1:
And from that moment, Khatu Shyam Baba became a living symbol of devotion and surrender. His
darbar in Rajasthan is not just a temple — it is a place where broken hearts find hope, and restless souls
find peace.
Anchor 2:
"Khatu Shyam Baba teaches us that the greatest strength is not in fighting battles alone but in
surrendering them to Him."
Anchor 1:
When we bow before Shyam Baba, we are not giving up — we are rising higher, letting faith lead the
way. His darbar has seen countless miracles because He lives not in rituals but in the trust of His
devotees.
Anchor 2:
So, this morning, as we stand in His symbolic darbar, let us put aside our doubts and surrender with
open hearts. For the one who gave his head for devotion will never ignore a heart that bows with love.
Together:
Jai Shri Shyam Baba ki!
KRISHNA LEELA
Anchor 1:
"And now, it’s time to step into the sweetest chapter of this celebration — Krishna Leela.
Imagine little Kanha in Gokul: peacock feather on His head, butter in His hands, and that mischievous
smile that melts every heart!"
Anchor 2:
Yes! Krishna’s childhood was a divine play. He stole butter, teased the Gopis, and filled Vrindavan with
laughter. But behind that mischief was a profound truth: God does not demand fear; He invites love.
When Yashoda Maiya tied Him with a rope, she thought she had bound a naughty child. But in truth, her
love bound the Supreme Lord Himself — and thus, He became Damodara, the one tied by devotion.
Anchor 1:
Krishna’s leelas are not just stories — they are lessons. They teach us that divinity is simple, joyful, and
close to us.
Anchor 2:
"Every challenge is like Kansa, but in every heart that believes, Krishna is born again to conquer it."
Anchor 1:
So today, as we watch Krishna Leela, let us not just see a performance — let us feel Vrindavan. Let us
hear the laughter of Kanha, the love of Yashoda, and the devotion of the Gopis.
Anchor 2:
Because in those moments, we are no longer here. We are in the lanes of Gokul, where God lives as a
child, and love is the highest form of worship.
Together:
Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki!
BHAJAN
Anchor 1:
"And now, let us prepare our hearts for Bhajan Sandhya, where music turns into prayer and every note
carries us closer to Krishna."
Anchor 2:
Yes! Bhajans are not sung to impress; they are sung to express. Each word is a garland we offer at
Kanha’s feet, each melody a step closer to His love.
Anchor 1:
"When the heart sings for Krishna, every worry fades, and peace takes its place."
Anchor 2:
In Vrindavan, it is said even the trees and rivers hum His name. And today, as we join in this chorus, this
hall will become Vrindavan itself.
Anchor 1:
Friends, don’t just listen — sing! Because when many voices call out to Krishna in unison, He cannot
resist but come to bless His devotees.
Anchor 2:
Close your eyes, join your hands, and let the music of devotion turn this morning into a moment of
eternity.
Together:
Radhe Radhe!
MAHA AARTI
Anchor 1:
"Now comes the most divine part of this morning — the Maha Aarti of Shri Krishna.
Aarti is the moment where words end, and only devotion speaks."
Anchor 2:
Yes! Each flame of the Aarti represents our faith. When we wave that lamp, we are not just offering light
— we are offering ourselves.
Anchor 1:
"Krishna was born in darkness, but His light still guides the world. Let this Aarti be our light of hope."
Anchor 2:
As the conch echoes and the bells ring, feel Krishna’s presence here. Imagine Him, smiling, accepting
every single prayer we offer with this flame.
Anchor 1:
Let this Aarti not just be a ritual. Let it be a moment where we surrender our fears and rise in faith.
Anchor 2:
Now, with folded hands and open hearts, let’s perform this Maha Aarti and feel Kanha’s blessings flow
upon us.
Together:
Jai Shri Krishna!
CLOSING
Anchor 1:
"What a divine journey this has been! From Khatu Shyam Ji’s darbar to Krishna Leela, from the soulful
bhajans to the Maha Aarti — every moment has brought us closer to Kanha."
Anchor 2:
But Janmashtami is not just a festival. It is a reminder that Krishna lives in every act of love, every
prayer, and every heart that calls His name.
Anchor 1:
"Where there is Krishna, there is victory. Where there is love, there is Krishna."
Anchor 2:
Let us take this light of Krishna with us. Let our lives be guided by His wisdom, our hearts be filled with
His joy, and our souls be devoted to His eternal love.
Together:
Jai Shri Krishna!
