CONSENT AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK FOR
HORSEBACK RIDING
We are fully informed of the risks associated with horseback riding and it is our desire to participate in the horsemanship program at
Sunset Lake Camp. We hereby knowingly and intelligently assume the risks for harm and/or bodily injury to our persons or property
that are associated with or arise out of the activity. We are fully aware that it is possible for us to receive injuries to our bodies which
would be permanently disabling or could even cause us to die as a result of: 1) being kicked, bitten or stepped upon by a horse, 2)
falling off a horse, 3) being crushed between a horse and another object, 4) having a horse fall on us, and 5) by any of many accidents
that could happen from being around horses or places where horses are kept. We promise to abide by the camp rules, which are
designed for our safety. If a parental signature is not present, the campers will not be able to participate in this activity
PARTICIPANT CODE OF CONDUCT
• Show respect to other participants and Sunset Lake staff, and cooperate fully with
wrangler instructions
• Use program equipment, supplies, and facilities properly
APPROPRIATE CLOTHING
Long pants, and closed toed, full coverage shoes. (no Crocs, toe shoes, ballet flats, Keens, etc.)
Absolutely no jewelry of any type for safety reasons. Please remove this before coming.
