OVER BLACK.

The sound of PANICKED VOICES under intense GUNFIRE. There

seems to be a war going on.

VOICES
Open fire!... Take cover!... Get
out of there... Run!... Don’t let
him get close... Oh, my God... No!
No!

EXT. JUNKYARD - NIGHT

[NOTE: This whole sequence is shot like FRAGMENTS cut out

from a memory.]

Back to the same place where the previous episode ended.

The EIGHT HULKBUSTERS FIRE wildly with their cannons and

arm-machine guns at something OFF SCREEN.

The sound is deafening.

CUT TO BLACK:

More voices surface.

VOICES
Reload!... Jesus!... We need
reinforcements! We need --

EXT. JUNKYARD - NIGHT

We’re in a SPECOPS’ POV as he reloads his rifle.

His hands SHIVER with nervousness as he fits the new ammo

clip into his gun.

With the weapon ready to shoot, the soldier turns around

just to find... A MASSIVE CREATURE LIFTING A HULKBUSTER
above its head.

CUT TO BLACK:

Someone BREATHING hard under black.

Then --
 2.

EXT. JUNKYARD - NIGHT

TWO SPECOPS behind a Humvee, using it as a cover as they

fire at the target still off screen.

A MONSTROUS ROAR sounds throughout the junkyard.

Both men STARTLE and throw themselves away as ANOTHER HUMVEE

IS HURLED INTO FRAME, SLAMMING INTO THE FIRST ONE.

CUT TO BLACK:

A beat. Sudden silence.

EXT. JUNKYARD - NIGHT

TWO ANOTHER SPECOPS run like hell across the junkyard. They
just want to save their own lives, as if the devil himself
was after them.

SUDDENLY: A HUGE MUSCULAR GREEN ARM GRABS one of the men and
TUGS him backwards, vanishing off frame.

CUT TO BLACK:

VOICES
Help! Help!

EXT. JUNKYARD - NIGHT

IN THE CREATURE’S POV, on top of a Hulkbuster, as it

DISMEMBERS the exoskeleton with its BARE HANDS.

The thing TEARS the Hulkbuster apart piece by piece as if it

were made of paper.

Then, the monster raises the Hulkbuster -- with the pilot

still inside -- and THROWS it onto another Hulkbuster,
knocking both down.

CUT TO BLACK:

GENERAL ROSS (V.O.)

Get the hell outta here!

INT. COMMAND VEHICLE - NIGHT

GENERAL ROSS and MAJOR TALBOT are inside, and they know that
battle is totally lost.

GENERAL ROSS
Move! Move!

The DRIVER does his best to maneuver the vehicle out of

there. But AT THAT MOMENT --

-- BAM! THE VEHICLE IS ROCKED by something powerful outside,

tumbling it ASIDE violently.

Everything inside is thrown out of its place, including the

people. Ross HITS the bodywork of the vehicle, making him
pass out. A bit of BLOOD drips from his head.

Outside, the monster ROARS again. A sound that would make

anyone tremble with fear.

ACT ONE

EXT. SKIES ABOVE ATLANTIC OCEAN - DAY

A SHIELD AIRCRAFT ROCKETS across the cloudy skies of the

Atlantic. Faster than any jet we’ve ever seen.

CHYRON: SOMEWHERE IN THE ATLANTIC.

INT. CARGO HOLD - SHIELD AIRCRAFT - DAY

Inside the jet, STEVE sits holding a TABLET, watching

footage of an old HULK’S ONSLAUGHT.
Next to him is TONY, texting in his phone. HANK and JANET
are there too, but she can’t stop staring at Steve.

JANET
(whispers to Hank)
He’s still very handsome for a
seventy-year-old man, do not you
think?

Hank shoots her a look. She shrugs.

JANET (CONT'D)
It’s so funny when you get jealous.

ON THE TABLET: in a SHAKY FOOTAGE, the Jade Giant LEAPS away

leaving the military around defeated.

STEVE
How can he live knowing there are
such thing within him?
TONY
In fact, Banner was very lucky.

STEVE
Lucky? Did you see what that thing
did to a whole battalion?

TONY
Yeah, lucky. With the amount of
gamma radiation that Banner was
exposed to, he should be dead. But
that’s not what happened.

HANK
But there’s still something I don’t
understand: Banner had no incident
for two years, why would he have
one now?

TONY
It doesn’t matter now. The beast is
out of the cage and we have to
contain it.

JANET
It must have been something
serious. They say that the more
angry he gets, the stronger he gets
too. Is that true?

TONY
Let’s hope not.

STEVE
You are forgetting that Banner is
still in there. He needs our help,
not to be beaten up.

TONY
I'm sorry, Captain, but we're
talking about an irrational animal
that just wants to destroy
everything it sees in its path.
Sometimes we have no choice.

Steve stares at Tony with a sharp look.

TONY (CONT'D)
What?
STEVE
You are very different from your
father.

TONY
And you are very different from the
stories he told about you.

STEVE
What kind of stories did he tell
you?

TONY
That you’re a nice guy.

EXT. SKIES ABOVE ATLANTIC OCEAN - DAY

The dense clouds disperse as the SHIELD aircraft heads

toward the magnificent HELICARRIER. A massive battleship
suspended in the air by FOUR LIFT FANS on its sides.

INT. COCKPIT - SHIELD AIRCRAFT - DAY

MARIA HILL and another PILOT man the controls of the jet.

MARIA HILL (INTO HEADSET)

This is Agent Maria Hill. Code B-
1068.

INT. CARGO HOLD - SHIELD AIRCRAFT - DAY

The heroes look at that majestic flying fortress through the

windows. Everyone is amazed, especially Hank. Tony already
knew that machine, after all he helped to design it.

MARIA HILL (OVER INTERCOM)

We moved your stuffs to the
Helicarrier. There will be our base
for now.

EXT. FLIGHT DECK - HELICARRIER - DAY

The SHIELD aircraft lands. Its back door lowers as Hill and
the four heroes walk out.

Several other aircraft are landed there, attached to the

ground. Workers permeate that deck, going here and there.
Tony, Steve, Hank and Janet admire their surroundings as
they follow Hill across the area.

INT. BRIDGE - HELICARRIER - DAY

MASSIVE WINDOWS encircle the front of the room giving an

expansive view of the exterior.

It’s a flurry of activity there –- dozen of agents sit in

front of VIEW SCREENS working dutifully at their stations.

A COMMAND CONSOLE stands out in the center, elevated above

the area. It’s where stays NICK FURY, keeping an eye on
everything, coordinating.

FURY
Mapping new course to Las Vegas.

Hill comes in behind him.

MARIA HILL
Sir, they’re waiting.

INT. BRIEFING ROOM - HELICARRIER - DAY

Steve, Tony, Hank and Janet are gathered around a round

table.

JANET
Can you believe? We’re in a flying
aircraft carrier!
HANK
Did you imagine that you would ever
see such a thing, Captain?

STEVE
I’ve seen a lot of weird technology
during my missions, but nothing
like this.

Fury enters. Everyone turns to him.

FURY
Gentlemen. Ms. As you were
previously briefed in the
Triskelion, we face a more than
unpredictable threat.

Fury taps on the table and from the center of it, a full-
body 3D HULK HOLOGRAM materializes.

FURY (CONT'D)
The Hulk.

Fury taps on the table again and Hulk’s hologram changes to

BRUCE BANNER and his profile.

FURY (CONT'D)
Robert Bruce Banner. A great
scientist who worked for the
Government, was eventually exposed
to gamma radiation during a test.
Instead of dying, he has become
what we already know.

HANK
How did he end up in Vegas?
 8.

FURY
He was on the run around the world
for two years until he revealed
himself in Vegas six hours ago. We
don't know why he is there.

STEVE
Is he still in the city?

FURY
According to our satellites, yes.
But if we do not act right away,
there will be no more city.

JANET
You do not think Banner would be
capable of killing someone, would
it?

FURY
Hulk is like a wild animal, we
don't know what he is going to do,
but we know what he can do.

STEVE
He must have some weakness -- some
way to get Banner back in control.

FURY
Indeed. We have something, but has
not been tested yet.

TONY
Whatever it is, it’s welcome.

EXT. JUNKYARD - DAY

AFTERMATH. All that junkyard turned into a big mess. Crushed

cars and Hulkbusters WRECKAGE fill the ground.

Local authorities settled in the area, taking care of the

damage. Paramedics carry the badly injured Specops men away.
Some of them unconscious.

General Ross is sitting in the back of an ambulance while a

NURSE takes care of his head injury.

Talbot walks over to Ross, also with bandages on his face

and his left arm resting on the sling.

TALBOT
General, we got a call.

GENERAL ROSS
From whom?

TALBOT
Nick Fury.

It’s not a name that makes Ross happy. Immediately, he gets

up from the ambulance, ignoring the nurse.

He walks toward his command vehicle, which now lies UPSIDE

DOWN. There, two soldiers handle a satellite RADIO. Without
a word, Ross just takes the radio.

GENERAL ROSS (INTO RADIO)

Leave SHIELD away from my shit,
Fury.

FURY (OVER RADIO)

Good morning to you too, Ross.

INTERCUT: ROSS/FURY

FURY
Something tells me you’re not in
the mood today.

GENERAL ROSS
Banner is my responsibility! Mind
your own business.

FURY
You’re right, but your job was to
capture him, not to free the
monster.

GENERAL ROSS
Don't put that on me -- as soon as
we arrived, he attacked us.

FURY
That’s why there will be no more
failures this time. Your mission is
over, General.

GENERAL ROSS
No! I’m not done yet!

FURY
You already had your chance. If I
wait for you, there will be more
corpses to bury.

GENERAL ROSS
I will not let you do this, Fury!
Banner is my prisoner!

FURY
It’s already done, General.
Consider yourself dismissed.

END INTERCUT.

GENERAL ROSS
Fury?

No reply. The transmission is ended. Furious, Ross SHATTERS

the radio on the ground.
END ACT ONE
 11.

ACT TWO

INT. LOCKER ROOM - HELICARRIER - DAY

Steve, Hank and Janet wear their respective suits. Tony is

still there with his business suit.

JANET
So... do we have a plan?

All eyes turn to Steve.

STEVE
From what I saw of that thing, it
only cares about the fight. So
let’s keep it busy so we can make
the ultimate attack.

TONY
That sounds interesting but I think
you’re forgetting the fact that
we’re dealing with an avatar of the
pure anger.

STEVE
As you said, Stark, he is still a
brainless brute.

Lastly, Steve grabs his round SHIELD.

STEVE (CONT'D)
And we have the brain.

EXT. SKY - DAY

The Helicarrier starts to LOW its altitude.

EXT. FLIGHT DECK - HELICARRIER - DAY

PROPELLERS of a HELICOPTER start to whirl. Its back door is

down just waiting for its passengers.

Walking across the deck comes: CAPTAIN AMERICA, THE WASP AND
GIANT-MAN. Fully dressed for the mission as true
superheroes.

As the three board the helicopter, it TAKES OFF from the

Helicarrier.
 12.

EXT. LAS VEGAS - DAY

Establishing.

CHYRON: LAS VEGAS. NEVADA.

EXT. LAS VEGAS STREETS - DAY

It’s as if the APOCALYPSE had arrived on Earth. A crowd of

PANICKED PEOPLE fills the streets, running for their lives.

POLICE CARS pull up on the streets. The COPS get out of the
vehicles nervous, but they know it’s their job. Each one
draws his PISTOL. The POLICE SERGEANT shouts:
POLICE SERGEANT
Open fire!

Everyone FIRES at the target behind the camera. Then, a huge

SHADOW covers one of the police cars. The cops tilt their
heads up, in SHOCK.

POLICE SERGEANT (CONT'D)

LOOK OUT!

They SPREAD across the street as the creature SLAMS ONTO A

POLICE CRUISER, crumpling all the vehicle.

And for the first time our full view of THE INCREDIBLE HULK.
Muscles ripping, pouring his rage out on the city. It’s
magnificent and scary at the same time.

Hulk HUSTLES through the other police vehicles, FLIPPING

them aside and knocking some officers to the ground.

EXT. SKIES ABOVE LAS VEGAS - DAY

The SHIELD helicopter SOARS over the city.

INT. HELICOPTER - DAY

Giant-Man and Captain America gaze at the city through the

open hatch all the havoc caused by Hulk, both unbelievers.

SIRENS and desperate SCREAMS seem to come from all

directions in the city.

GIANT-MAN
How could anyone have done it in
such a short time?
 13.

CAPTAIN AMERICA
It was not anyone, doctor.

Meanwhile, Wasp sits on the seat with a small METAL CASE on

her lap.

Inside the case: THREE SYRINGES.

WASP
So... is this going to make Bruce
back to normal?

GIANT-MAN
It's supposed to do it.
WASP
Since this is a syringe, we have to
get very close to him to apply it,
do not we...?

CAPTAIN AMERICA
Correctly.

Wasp swallows dry. It was what she feared to hear.

WASP
Are you sure the needle will go
through at least the most
superficial layer of his skin?

GIANT-MAN
The needle is made of Adamantium,
my dear. Not even Hulk can prevent
it from piercing him.

WASP
Adamantium. Of course.

She closes the suitcase and puts it on the seat. They hear
Hulk’s ROAR not so distant.

CAPTAIN AMERICA
We’re close.
(then)
All right, the priority is to keep
civilians out of the battle zone.
We can not let more casualties
occur. Wasp, I want you along with
the ground team helping to remove
the civilians.

She nods. Captain America turns to Giant-Man.

CAPTAIN AMERICA (CONT'D)

Giant-Man, you strike first. Make
him tired, distracted. Then I’ll
inject the syringe.

GIANT-MAN
Okay.

CAPTAIN AMERICA (INTO COM)

Iron Man, do you read me? I hope
you’re already suited up.

TONY (OVER COM)

Almost there.

INT. TECH LAB - HELICARRIER - DAY

Tony is wearing his IRON SUIT manually. He has already worn

the legs, and now he’s fitting the chest plate.

TONY (INTO COM)

Without my proper equipment, I can
take a little longer.

CAPTAIN AMERICA (OVER COM)

Don’t be late.

EXT. LAS VEGAS STREETS - DAY

A TOWN CAR is thrown like a tennis ball across the screen,

rolling over the street.

Hulk destroys everything in his path. Pedestrians hide in

stores and buildings. Others run as fast as they can away
from the creature.

A car SURGES towards Hulk. The WOMAN DRIVER breaks hard, but
the car SLAMS into Hulk’s leg. It's like hitting a steady
concrete wall.

Hulk GROWLS at the car and LIFTS it above his head. The
woman inside screams in fear. When he’s about to fling the
car down the street...

... CAPTAIN AMERICA’S SHIELD comes out nowhere and BOUNCES

OFF Hulk’s head, making him drop the car and stagger away
from it. The shield flies back to Cap’s hands, standing a
few meters from Hulk.

CAPTAIN AMERICA
Better stay away from these people,
Dr. Banner!
 15.

Hulk’s attention shifts to Captain America after seeing him

there. Furious, he CHARGES at the Sentinel of Liberty, who
only awaits him.

Hulk JUMPS high toward Captain America, but...

CAPTAIN AMERICA (INTO COM)

Now!

... GIANT-MAN emerges from behind a building and GRABS Hulk

with his hands in mid-air.

CAPTAIN AMERICA
He’s all yours.
Giant-Man starts to walk away, imprisoning Hulk with both
hands. Captain America runs up to the police officers and
civilians.

CAPTAIN AMERICA (CONT'D)

Go to a safe place! Do not stay on
the streets!

CUT TO:

ELSEWHERE IN THE CITY, The Wasp helps the SHIELD Ground Team
to escort the pedestrians off the streets.

WASP
Go, go!

The street SHAKES like a tremor. Wasp turns around as Giant-

Man appears, walking with Hulk still in his hands.

GIANT-MAN
Now take a deep breath, Bruce. Stay
calm. I’ll count to ten and when I
finish, I do not want to see you
green yet.
(beat)
One... two... three... four...

Giant-Man feels that Hulk stopped moving between his palms.

Wasp approaches him.

WASP
It worked? Did he calm down?

Giant-Man decides to open a little gap in his hands to check

Hulk out. That’s when Hulk’s hands emerge PUSHING that giant
hands away, opening them more.

Hank tries to close his hands again, but Hulk’s strength is

greater than he thought.
 16.

WASP (CONT'D)
Oh, my God -- Hank!

GIANT-MAN
Get everyone out of here!

WASP
(to the ground team)
Hurry up! We do not have much time!

Giant-Man uses all his forces to restrain the creature, but

Hulk is breaking free.

GIANT-MAN
Goddammit, Banner! Is it so hard to
stay calm?!

As Hulk manages to open that giant hands enough, he LEAPS

straight onto the GIANT-MAN’S FACE!

Giant-Man STUMBLES back, CRUSHING lamp posts, cars and

anything else under his feet.

Hulk PUMMELS Giant-Man’s face with his fist. Hank tries to

pull him away, but Hulk GRASPS his mask.

GIANT-MAN (CONT'D)
Come on!

Hulk raises both fists above his head and DRIVES THEM DOWN
right into the Giant-Man’s forehead, causing him to
unbalance and lean BACKWARDS.

Wasp realizes Giant-Man FALLING toward the street like a

building.
WASP
EVERYBODY RUN!

Everyone on the street quickens the pace, including Janet.

She realizes that she will not get out of Hank’s range in
time. In a desperate act, Janet throws herself into a
jewelry store --

INT. JEWELRY STORE - CONTINUOUS

-- CRASHING through the door as the Giant-Man TUMBLES on the

ground in a THUNDEROUS IMPACT.

Everything SHAKES as if it were falling apart. The facade of

the store SHATTERS with the clash, showering glass shards
over the Wasp.
 17.

EXT. LAS VEGAS STREETS - DAY

WIDE ON: A CLOUD OF DUST and SMOKE fills the street at

Giant-Man’s crash site.

BEAT.

THEN --

-- HULK IS THROWN OUT THE SMOKE, skipping across the

pavement like a stone.

Giant-Man climbs on his feet, emerging from the cloud of

smoke like a Greek Titan. Grimy and with some blood dripping
from his nose.
Hulk gets up after the blow and glares at Giant-Man. He
unleashes his FIERCE ROAR at him, then ADVANCES toward that
giant figure.

GIANT-MAN
All right, Banner, if that’s the
way you want do it, don’t complain
me when you get back to normal and
realize that you’re missing some
teeth.

Hulk JUMPS high toward Giant-Man’s face. But this time,

Giant-Man’s MASSIVE FIST SMASHES HULK IN MID-AIR, DRIVING
HIM INTO THE GROUND.

Giant-Man DIGS his entire fist into the street with Hulk
underneath it.

GIANT-MAN (CONT'D)
I got him!
CAPTAIN AMERICA (OVER COM)
Hold on, I’m on my way.

Wasp steps out the jewelry store a bit stunned. She finds
Giant-Man on one knee, with his right fist buried in the
street.

WASP
Honey, are you okay?

GIANT-MAN
Only a few scratches, don’t worry.

Wasp looks around trying to find Hulk, but no sign of him.

WASP
Where’s Banner?
 18.

GIANT-MAN
Down here.

Giant-Man begins to feel something moving beneath his hand.

He tries to pull his fist back, but he can’t. It’s STUCK
there.

WASP
What’s going on?

GIANT-MAN
He got me!

Suddenly, Giant-Man CRIES OUT in pain. After that, he

manages to remove his hand from there. Hulk JUMPS out the
hole like a missile and HITS HANK’S CHIN.

Giant-Man falls on his back, this time stunned. Hulk lands

on his chest. He walks up to Hank’s head ready to kill him.

TIGHT ON Wasp -- she knows she has to act right now. She
SHRINKS and flies toward the Hulk.

Hulk steps on the Giant’s throat. He raises his fists over

the head as if to kill him, but...

WASP (O.S.)
No!

... Wasp FIRES her ENERGY STINGS. They are harmless against
Hulk, but they distract him, especially when they hit his
face.

WASP
I think you have a speck in the
eye.
Wasp fires her bolts directly into Hulk’s eyes, making him
briefly BLIND -- he loses his balances and falls from Giant-
Man’s body, grabbing his teary eyes.

Hulk gets on his feet and spots Wasp, hovering in front of

him.

WASP (CONT'D)
If you want to make me toothpick,
you’ll have to catch me first!

Wasp flies off as Hulk CHASES her. They move from street to
street. Wasp glances over her shoulder -- Hulk’s right in
her tail, running like an unstoppable rhino.
 19.

WASP (INTO COM)

Cap, I’m with Hulk on my tail --
I’m going to need support!

CAPTAIN AMERICA (OVER COM)

What happened to the Giant-Man?

WASP (INTO COM)

Hulk knocked him down. I’m trying
to take him away, but I don’t know
how long I can handle it.

CAPTAIN AMERICA (OVER COM)

All right. Bring him north, we’ve
been able to evacuate a few blocks
down here. And be careful.

Wasp BANKS to another street as Hulk stretches out, narrowly

catching her.

INT. BRIDGE - HELICARRIER - DAY

Fury watches everything that happens in the city through his

monitors that display SATELLITE IMAGES. Maria Hill stands
behind him.

MARIA HILL
Sir, we managed to evacuate most
people from the risk area, but
there are still many in the
buildings. I ask for permission to
send the tanks for support.

FURY
No.
Hill REACTS.

MARIA HILL
But sir -- we need to stop him
somehow.

FURY
That’s why my team are there. If we
send more support, we’ll show that
our super-team is not fit to defend
the world. And the people need to
know that they are able to.

MARIA HILL
Colonel, it is very risky to put
all those lives in danger just to
prove a point.
 20.

Fury turns to Hill.

FURY
They can do it, Hill. I trust them.

He turns back to his monitors.

END ACT TWO

ACT THREE

EXT. LAS VEGAS STREETS - DAY

Back at the Wasp still trying to escape the monster pursuing

her. She glances back and sees Hulk closer. He swings his
hand for her, but Janet SWERVES through Hulk’s fingers.

Hulk realizes he’ll not catch her, so he SLAMS HIS PALMS so

hard that the SHOCK WAVE HITS WASP, destabilizing her
flight.

Wasp GROWS back to her normal size as she SLAMS into a car
windshield, CRACKING the glass. Was lies on the hood,
helpless. Hulk is coming closer when...

... Captain America LEAPS into frame SMASHING HULK IN THE

FACE WITH HIS SHIELD. He touches down as the Jade Goliath
stumbles back.

CAPTAIN AMERICA
(to the Wasp)
You okay?

WASP
I will survive.

CAPTAIN AMERICA
I’ll take care of him now. Hank
needs you.

WASP
But...

CAPTAIN AMERICA
Go.

Wasp SHRINKS again and flies off, leaving Cap with the
enemy. Hulk turns to him.

CAPTAIN AMERICA (CONT'D)

I do not want to fight you, Dr.
Banner, I want to help. But for
that, you need to calm down.

Hulk snorts at that words.

CAPTAIN AMERICA (CONT'D)

Please, let me help you. I know
you’re still there, Doctor. Take
the control.
 22.

Hulk gives Cap a menacing look. The beast is in control,

actually. Captain America gets ready.

Hulk roars and CHARGES at Captain America, who also charges

at Hulk. Before they collide, Captain America HURLS his
shield that hits Hulk’s chest, making him retreat a few
steps back.

As the shield REBOUNDS, Captain America JUMPS high off the

ground, grabs his shield in the air, and SMASHES it into
Hulk’s face. Hulk falls flat on the asphalt as Cap rolls
over the ground to a standing position, taking distance.

But Hulk rises again.

CAPTAIN AMERICA (CONT'D)
You’re tougher than I thought.

Hulk LUNGES trying to kill his target. Captain America uses

all of his incredible ability to DODGE all blows.

Captain America seizes a chance and strikes his shield into

Hulk’s face, followed by some PUNCHES and KICKS.

Hulk SWINGS A FIST DOWN like a hammer just as Cap holds his
shield up and -- BANG. Hulk’s fist IMPACTS onto the shield
hard. Cap’s feet SINK into the ground.

Captain America jerks that fist away and takes some

distance. Hulk delivers a vicious PUNCH, but Cap PARRIES it
with his shield, making it hit the ground.

At the same instant, Captain America CLIMBS on Hulk’s arm

and FLIPS BACK KICKING HULK’S CHIN. GREEN BLOOD splashes out
Hulk’s mouth as he falls on his back. Cap stands victorious.
As Captain America walks up to Hulk, he grabs one of that
syringes from his pocket belt.

CAPTAIN AMERICA (CONT'D)

This will get you back to who you
really are, doctor.

He leans down and sinks the syringe into Hulk’s neck. As he

starts to inject the antidote...

... Hulk CLAMPS Captain America’s forearm, SQUEEZING it. Cap

GRUNTS in pain, dropping the syringe.

HULK
No... Banner weak!

Hulk THROWS Captain America like a rag doll, into a car

windshield. As he recomposes himself, Hulk comes for him,
savage.

Captain America rolls to the back of the car as Hulk CRUSHES

ITS FRONT with both fists LURCHING the rear up, catapulting
Cap into the air. He SOMERSAULTS above Hulk...

... and lands near the syringe on the ground. As Cap catches
it, Hulk comes from behind and grabs him by the throat.
Almost out of breath, Captain America INJECTS the rest of
the serum into the Hulk's arm.

Hulk immediately tosses Cap meters away, slamming into the

side of a car. Hulk totters, feeling a little groggy.
ON WASP AND GIANT-MAN

She helps him to stand. They stop at the corner of a street

and notice Hulk suffering the effects of the antidote. He
drops on fours.

WASP
Cap did it!

But the feeling of success is short lived. Hulk’s not

turning back to Banner, he’s gradually recovering.

ON HULK

Rising again, shaking his head, breathing hard. He spins and

finds Captain America lying meters away. Hulk GRIMACES at
him, gritting teeth.

ANGLE ON: CAPTAIN AMERICA, as he uses his shield as a

support to get up. That’s when he hears something HEAVY
incoming, very fast.

It’s Hulk. And it’s too late to escape. Captain America

protects himself as the Green Goliath KICKS SQUARE IN THE
SHIELD FULL-FORCED HARD -- sending Cap UPWARDS toward a
building.

INT. CONFERENCE ROOM - OFFICE BUILDING - DAY

It’s all quiet. Suddenly... CAPTAIN AMERICA CRASHES THROUGH

A WINDOW, SLAMS INTO THE CEILING AND LANDS ON THE FLOOR,
unconscious.

EXT. LAS VEGAS STREETS - DAY

Wasp and Giant-Man don’t know what to do after they see what
just happened.

GIANT-MAN
We need to get him out of the city
before more people get hurt.

WASP
How do you suppose we do that?

TONY (OVER COM)

Let me try.
ABOVE THEIR HEADS -- IRON MAN ROCKETS at the height of
buildings and descending.

ON HULK

As he hears JET ENGINES approaching. Then, Iron Man TACKLES

HIM IN MID-FLIGHT before he can react, taking Hulk to the
skies.

EXT. BRIDGE - HELICARRIER - DAY

Fury and Hill watching.

MARIA HILL
Stark took him out of the city.

FURY
Let’s hope he’ll survive that.

EXT. RAILROAD STORAGE YARD - DAY

Like a meteor, Iron Man and Hulk CRASH into the ground.
Their crash-site is a CRATER. Iron Man stands on top of the
Hulk.

IRON MAN
It’s over, Banner, time for you
to--

Iron Man is interrupted by Hulk’s RIGHT HOOK in his face.

The Golden Gladiator flies meters away, rolling down the
ground until finally stop, covered in sand.

He stands up and turns around, seeing that Hulk is already

coming for him. Iron Man FIRES HIS REPULSOR RAYS, but they
are not enough to stop Hulk.

When Hulk is close enough, Iron Man fires the thrusters of

one boot to PROPEL his knee into Hulk’s stomach. Hulk bends
down grabbing his belly. Iron Man takes advantage of this
moment and ELBOWS Hulk’s nape, knocking him at his feet.

IRON MAN (CONT'D)

That’s enough, Banner! Can not you
see what you’re causing?

In a flash of movement, Hulk GRABS one of Iron Man’s legs

and SWINGS HIM AWAY. Iron Man goes SAILING through the air
and CRASHES THROUGH A CONTAINER, tipping it to the ground.

INT. IRON MAN SUIT - DAY

The HUD FLICKERS after that. Then, a WARNING ALERT pops up.

EXT. RAILROAD STORAGE YARD - DAY

An entire TRAIN CAR drops toward Iron Man. He quickly raises

his arm and fires a MISSILE, EXPLODING THE CAR into
thousands of pieces.

Hulk LUNGES through the smoke right after the explosion.

Iron Man uses his repulsors to SKID himself across the
ground. As he stops, a GUN BARREL erupts from his arm. He
blasts a steady steam of machine gun fire at Hulk.

Hulk shields his face with his hands. Iron Man ROCKETS
toward the monster and WRAPS his arms around his hip, taking
him off.

Both of them CRASH INTO ANOTHER CONTAINER, tumbling it to

its side with them inside it.

INT. CONFERENCE ROOM - OFFICE BUILDING - DAY

BLACKNESS.

The image resolves as we hear a voice:

WASP (O.S.)
Cap, come on, wake up!

We’re in CAPTAIN AMERICA’S POV as his eyes open, finding

Wasp and Giant-Man before him. He sits up.

WASP
Please, tell me you’re fine.

CAPTAIN AMERICA
Yeah. Janet, Hank... what happened?

WASP
The serum doesn’t work. Hulk
remains crazy, but Tony managed to
get him out of city.

CAPTAIN AMERICA
If the antidote did not work, we’ll
have to hit him as hard as we can.

But Hank is thoughtful.

GIANT-MAN
Wait -- we don't consider that the
Hulk's metabolism is far superior
to that of an ordinary person, so
the antidote didn’t work.

CAPTAIN AMERICA
What do you mean?

GIANT-MAN
The amount was too little for a
thing of that size. It’s like...
using chloroform to faint an
elephant.

WASP
So we’ll need the other syringes.

Hank nods.

CAPTAIN AMERICA
We’ll have to take chances. Wasp, I
need you to get the other syringes.
Me and Hank are going to help Tony.

Captain America gets up, ready for the combat.

EXT. RAILROAD STORAGE YARD - DAY

The container with Hulk and Iron Man inside TREMBLES.

Increasingly violent. They’re STRUGGLING.

Suddenly, Iron Man is LAUNCHED OUT THE CONTAINER, landing

hard on the ground. Hulk hops out too after him.

Iron Man gets on one knee, tired. Hulk marches toward him.
Iron Man fires his repulsors at Hulk, but he keeps coming.
Never breaking stride.
 27.

Close to Iron Man, Hulk grabs his arms CRUNCHING the armor.
Tony MOANS in pain inside the suit.

THEN -- A THUNDER. Hulk looks up, noticing the clouds

CLUSTERING weirdly. Lightning CRACKLES.

A HOLE in the clouds opens up allowing THE MIGHTY THOR to

pass, descending like a savior angel with his hammer
MJOLNIR. Hulk stares, almost mesmerized.

Thor WALLOPS HULK IN THE FACE WITH HIS HAMMER, sending him
FLYING across the yard. Thor touches down next to Iron Man.

INT. IRON MAN SUIT - DAY

Tony frowns seeing that caped figure.

TONY
Fury, is one of yours?

FURY (OVER COM)

I doubt it.

EXT. RAILROAD STORAGE YARD - DAY

Iron Man gets up with difficulty.

IRON MAN
Excuse me!
(off Thor’s look)
Thank you, but I don’t think we
were introduced. I am --

Before Iron Man can finish, Thor TAKES OFF toward Hulk,
leaving him alone.

ANGLE ON: HULK, recovering from the blow, a bit stunned.

Thor lands behind him.

THOR
It took a while but I finally found
you. I want you to know that my
desire is not to fight.

Hulk gets up, turns to Thor.

THOR (CONT'D)
You’re being manipulated by my
brother, Loki. I am not your enemy.

Hulk LASHES OUT. Thor, a veteran, EVADES the first few blows
and then SWATS Hulk’s belly with his hammer, making him
SLIDE backwards.

Thor doesn’t wait Hulk to recompose and charges him. Thor

SWOOPS Mjolnir for Hulk, however the Jade Giant BLOCKS the
hammer with his palm. Thor gets surprised.

Hulk HEADBUTTS him, sending the God of Thunder meters back.

Thor SINKS his fingers into the ground to slow his momentum.

THOR (CONT'D)
You have a lot of courage to handle
the blow of Mjolnir.
With a roar, Hulk ADVANCES toward his foe. Thor SPINS his
hammer as it wraps in LIGHTNING SPARKS.

ON IRON MAN

He watches an EXPLOSION OF LIGHTNING where Thor and Hulk are

battling. Captain America and Giant-Man join him.

IRON MAN
Right at showtime.

GIANT-MAN
What’s going on there?

IRON MAN
Good question. Whoever it is, he
has a very powerful hammer.

CAPTAIN AMERICA
Is he on our side?
IRON MAN
Let’s find out.

ON THOR AND HULK

The fight is RAGING. Thor hits Hulk twice. Hulk SHOVES the
Son of Odin BACKWARDS in one swipe of his arm.

Thor SLAMS into a container, CRUMPLING its bodywork. He

spins his hammer and HURLS it toward Hulk... WHAM! Hits him
squarely in the ribs, knocking the gamma behemoth down.

Hulk falls with Mjolnir. He sees that weapon nearby and

decides to try to hand it. Struggle as he may, Hulk wraps
his hand around the Mjolnir. The hammer doesn’t move. To no
avail he strains with all his might, SCREAMS from the
effort, BELLOWING.
 29.

THOR
Only the worthy can raise Mjolnir.
And you certainly are not worthy.

Thor interrupts Hulk with a PUNCH in his face, pushing him

away from the hammer. Thor takes Mjolnir back and lunges
forward.

Hulk swings but misses. Thor THWACKS Hulk’s head so hard

that brings him down to the ground. While he’s down, Thor
starts to HAMMER HULK REPEATEDLY, BATTERING HIS BODY.

After a while, Thor stops, breathing hard. Hulk remains

down, now motionless.
THOR (CONT'D)
I think you’ve tasted enough of
Mjolnir’s power.

But Hulk stirs, trying to stand.

THOR (CONT'D)
(under his breath)
How...?

Thor grips his hammer and prepares to deliver another blow,

but before that... Hulk rises, towering Thor ominously.
Fists raised.

HULK
HULK SMASH!

HULK DRIVES HIS FISTS INTO THE GROUND -- BLAAM! The

concussion so powerful like bombs exploding violently up.
Thor is launched back, hitting flat on the ground.
At that moment, Hulk suddenly COLLAPSES on his back. He
looks at his legs and sees Captain America’s shield between
his knees. Hulks turns around to Captain America and Giant-
Man in the distance.

Hulk gets up, snorting in anger.

CAPTAIN AMERICA (INTO COM)

Iron Man, now!

Without noticing, Iron Man DROPS behind Hulk. And his torso
GLOWS, the power is CHARGING UP to the reactor in the Iron
Suit chest.

IRON MAN FIRES HIS UNIBEAM AT HULK, THROWING HIM SKYWARD. At

same moment, Giant-Man GROWS and SMACKS Hulk in mid-air with
his giant fist, burying him into the ground again.
 30.

Meanwhile, Iron Man reaches out and helps Thor to stand up.
Captain America collects his shield back.

IRON MAN
Now we are even.

THOR
I am grateful, mortal. I had never
faced such an enemy in Midgard.

IRON MAN
Midgard... all right... they say
there’s always have a first time
for everything.
GIANT-MAN
Hey! This is not over yet! I can be
big, but he has a lot of strength!

CAPTAIN AMERICA
You have to bear it, Hank. We need
to wait for Wasp to arrive with the
syringes.

Thor is very impressed to see Giant-Man and his height.

THOR
Incredible... he’s a mortal but the
size of a Frost Giant.

Iron Man stares at Thor. Frost Giant? Then, Giant-Man SHOUTS

OUT, drawing everyone’s attention. He pulls his hand back
and realizes a BITE WOUND on one of his fingers.

GIANT-MAN
He bit me!
CAPTAIN AMERICA
Hurry, we need to contain him!

The other three heroes surround Hulk. Hulk grabs Iron Man
and FLINGS him onto Thor, knocking both of them down.
Captain America hurls his shield, but Hulk HOLDS it with one
hand. Hulk HURLS IT BACK to Cap.

Captain America tries to hold his shield but it comes ten

times stronger for him, dropping him to the ground. As Cap
lies down, he listens to a familiar voice.

WASP (O.S.)
Hey, cap.

Captain America turns his head and sees Wasp with the two
other syringes.
 31.

ON GIANT-MAN

Hulk CLAMBERS his body. Hank grabs him with one hand and
tosses him into one of the train cars.

GIANT-MAN
It's time to stop it, Banner!

That train car starts to HEAVE. Hulk LIFTS the entire wagon
over his head and launches it toward Giant-Man.

KRAASH! The train car hits a Giant-Man's KNEE. The pain is

big enough to make him fall to the ground.

Suddenly, Iron Man ROARS into frame punching Hulk in the

face. Hulk RETALIATES, knocking the Golden Gladiator down.
He prepares to crush that metal man, but...

... MJOLNIR comes right in time and hits Hulk’s face,

knocking him away from Iron man.

Thor calls his hammer back. As Mjolnir flies to him, Hulk

grabs its HANDLE, taking a ride with the hammer as it goes
directly to Thor.

Hulk looses the hammer, letting his momentum carry him

forward. Thor has no time to react -- he receives a mighty
punch in the face that knocks him some yards back.

As Hulk stands, a SMOKE GRENADE rolls to his feet -- BOOM!

Hulk is ENGULFED in a small cloud of smoke. The Wasp flies
in her miniature form.

THE WASP’S POV: TEARING through the smokescreen toward

Hulk’s head without him noticing. She DIVES into his EAR.
Hulk feels tremendous pain when Wasp enters his head. He
falls to his knees, grabbing his ears. Hulk spanks his head
over and over again trying to get rid of the pain.

Meanwhile, Captain America jumps onto Hulk’s back and

PLUNGES both syringes at same time into his body. Hulk
headbutts Cap with the back of his head, dropping him off.

Hulk then spanks his head harder until Wasp finally fall out
of his ear. She is totally bathed in disgusting fluids.

ANGLE ON: CAPTAIN AMERICA, as he looks at his hand and

realizes -- one empty syringe but the other still full.

Determined, he holds firmly the last syringe and sprints

towards Hulk, who composes himself. He notices Cap and
BACKHANDS him before he can reach him. The syringe flies out
Cap’s hand as he hits the ground.
 32.

ANGLE ON: THE WASP, as she sights the syringe flipping in

the air and no one to pick it up.

In her tiny form, Wasp flies toward the syringe before it’s
too late. But when the syringe is about to shatter on the
ground...

... WASP GROWS IN MID-FLIGHT, stretching her arm and

catching the syringe in the last seconds before making
contact with the ground.

ON HULK

Hanging Iron Man and Thor off the ground in each hand.
THOR
I’m sorry for this, metal man.

IRON MAN
What?

Thor raises Mjolnir to the skies and pulls a mighty

LIGHTNING BOLT that strikes the three combatants at once!

The powerful electric discharge blasts all three away,

separating them. Only Thor left unharmed there.

Iron man lies flat on the ground. The Iron Suit SMOKES. Its
power is FLICKERING.

INT. IRON MAN SUIT - DAY

The suit’s ARTIFICIAL VOICE sounds.

ARTIFICIAL VOICE
Restarting armor primary systems.

TONY
Great.

EXT. RAILROAD STORAGE YARD - DAY

Thor crouches by Iron Man, concerned.

THOR
Are you all right?

IRON MAN
No thanks to you. My systems are
rebooting, soon I’m on my feet.
 33.

THOR
Forgive me. I had no choice.

IRON MAN
Whatever! Just keep that green ogre
away from me until I recover.

Thor nods. As he stands... HULK HURTLES HIM OUT-OF-FRAME.

ANGLE ON: CAPTAIN AMERICA, very wounded, but still alive.

Wasp approaches him.

WASP
Cap, you need a medic!
CAPTAIN AMERICA
Only after we finish the mission.
But... I missed the last dose.

WASP
No, you don’t.

Wasp shows the syringe, intact.

ON HULK

As he SWINGS THOR BY HIS CAPE and then FLINGS him into a

stack of containers.

The Green Goliath SENSES something from behind. He whirls

and GRABS THE SYRINGE, which was thrown at him, letting the
tip of the needle a few inches from his chest.

But what he did not expect --

-- Captain America’s shield comes right after that and SLAMS

into Hulk’s hand, SHOVING THE SYRINGE INTO HIS CHEST --
consequently injecting the serum.

Hulk removes the syringe from his chest, staggering and

feeling a severe headache.

With each step, it’s as if he loses his strength. He looks

at his hands and knows that something is wrong. He tries to
flee, but he’s too weak.

Hulk STUMBLES. His energy’s fading away. He can't take

another step and falls with his chest up.

As the Avengers rally, Hulk MORPHS before their eyes. All

that muscle mass begins to compress, gradually diminishing.
The greenish skin brightens turning into white skin.
 34.

In less than one minute, we see BRUCE BANNER again -- thin,

weak and harmless. Fainted on the ground in a deep sleep.

Our heroes surround Banner, staring at him, including Giant-

Man (in his normal size now) anchoring on Janet’s shoulder.

CAPTAIN AMERICA
Fury, send two medical units. And
let’s get Banner out of here.

CLOSE ON BANNER: then we slowly CRANE UP. Rising until we

look straight down on the yard and see the true scope of the
battle.

FADE OUT.
