7th Day of Novena:

With Mary, We Pray with Hope for Others

Introduction (Soft, instrumental music plays.)

In this sacred space, our hearts united in prayer during this 7 th day Novena in honor of Our Lady of
the Assumption. As daughters of Mary, we stand on holy ground, called to a life of service and
devotion. The theme, "With Mary, We Are Praying With Hope for Others," resonates deeply within our
vocation. We are not merely praying for ourselves, but lifting up the hopes and burdens of the world
to the loving embrace of our Blessed Mother. Just as Mary, filled with faith, carried the weight of God's
plan, so too are we called to carry the weight of the world's sorrows and joys, interceding with hope
and compassion for all those in need. May this Novena be a time of profound reflection, renewed
commitment, and strengthened faith as we journey with Mary, our guiding star, towards the glorious
feast of her Assumption.

Opening Song: Mariang Ina ko.

Opening Prayer:
Loving God, we come before you today, on the seventh day of our novena to Our Lady of the
Assumption, with hearts filled with hope and a spirit of fervent prayer. We remember Mary, your
faithful servant, who interceded for others with trust. Grant us, through her intercession, the grace to
pray with hope for those entrusted to our care, and for all those in need. Amen.
Gospel Acclamation
Gospel Reading: Luke 11:1-13 (Jesus Teaches about Prayer)
Reflection:
Let us gather, brothers and sisters, in this sacred space, our hearts united in prayer. Nine days we've
journeyed, walking with Mary, our hearts echoing her faith. This Novena, a tapestry woven with hope
and persistent prayer, reminds us of God's boundless generosity, a wellspring that never runs dry.
We've prayed for ourselves, yes, but more importantly, we've lifted the burdens of others, carrying
their hopes and fears in our own hearts. Let us reflect: Have we truly embraced the challenge of
persistent prayer? Have we allowed God's generosity to fill us, overflowing into our prayers for
others? Have we prayed with the hope and trust that Mary herself embodies?

The Assumption is not just a celebration of Mary’s elevation; it's a testament to the power of faith. It’s
a beacon of hope, reminding us that even amidst life's storms, our prayers, fueled by trust in God's
grace, can move mountains. As we approach the feast, let us recommit to this journey of prayer, a
journey of hope, a journey of love for one another, carried forward by the unwavering spirit of Mary,
our Mother. Let our prayers be a testament to God's boundless generosity, a source of strength and
comfort for all those who need it most.

Activity: “Chain of Hope”

This activity creates a visual and participatory representation of the interconnectedness of prayer and
the power of collective hope. “Chain of Hope” – a physical chain composed of individual links, each
representing a prayer request for someone. Each link, though small, contributes to the strength and
length of the chain, symbolizing how individual prayers, when joined together, create a powerful force
for good.

The activity fosters a sense of community and shared purpose, deepening the understanding of the
importance of praying for others.
