What Are Adjectives?

Adjectives are words that describe, modify, or give more information about nouns
or pronouns. They help to make sentences more detailed and interesting by
providing additional details about things, people, or places.

Types of Adjectives:

Descriptive Adjectives

Describe qualities or characteristics of nouns.

Examples: beautiful, tall, blue, smart

Sentence: The blue sky is clear today.

Quantitative Adjectives

Indicate the amount or quantity of nouns.

Examples: some, many, few, several, all

Sentence: She has many books.

Demonstrative Adjectives

Point out specific nouns.

Examples: this, that, these, those

Sentence: This car is new.

Possessive Adjectives

Show ownership or possession.
