Evangelism Explosion III
Vision 1
One of the training that we will all be required to go
through regardless of our area of specification in terms
of ministry, is the area of evangelism. We will have an
evangelism equipping course called Evangelism
Explosion III or 3. It is an explosion becuase of the
results it produces. It goes in three, a trainer and two
trainees who later enlist each three and continue it as a
circle. This training helps you to helps you to use your
testimony as a simple tool that you can help transform a
life through a normal conversation. This is why we will all
go through training in evangelism, it will be a
requirement. You don't need to be an evangelist to win
soul, it is every believers mandate or call to win souls,
one life at a time. Proverbs 11:30 says, "the fruit of the
righteous is a tree of life; and he that
winneth souls is wise." This is the greatest way to earn
wisdom. When you have wisdom success is guaranteed
in every area of your life.
We will all start as trainees and in second semster we
will graduate to trainer and in the fourth semester we will
have a final training in becoming trainer of trainers and
the circle will start all over with you as a trainer of
trainers. This is a great church growth tool that will help
us to let the light of the gospel we are praying for
penetrate Kisumu. Think for a moment, "if you will train
two trainees during the second Evangelism Explosion
semester, and they, in turn, train two others each and
continue this multiplication for just two years, how many
do you suppose will be trained as a result of your
personal equipping ministry in two years? Nine people?
Fifteen? Thirty maybe?
The answer is that 81 people would be trained, then
think about 81
people trained who are also members of our church. It
may sound incredible but this is the kind of impact we
will have if we will consistently train and teach others to
train soul winners. As you can see it is more important to
train a soul winner than it is to win souls. Further more it
is more important to train a trainer of soul winners than it
is to train a soul winner. There are more benefits to this
program as it will train you as well how to hear the voice
of God which is key in reaching out and help develop a
sensitivity towards His instruction.
How exciting it is to consider the great impact your life
will have on the world in so short a period of time. It is
time to give ourselves to this call and work hard and give
the glory to God. We are about to experience great
Christian joy as we will do this.
EXPLOSION = MULTIPLICATION
This is how it will be like when you do it in 2 years.
1st semester it will be 4 people (you and three enlisted
by you)
2nd semester it will be 9 people, more enlisting by you
and your three trainees
3rd semester it will be 27 people, your nine trainees and
their trainees under them plus ourself
4th semester it will be 81 people, your twenty seven
trainees and their trainees under them plus you.
If our church will grow this way we will be having well
discipled strong church healthy membership and that is
what we need.
SPIRITUAL INVENTORY
The church's first obligation is to be spiritually worthy to
spread the Cospel. The church can be worthy only as
individual members examine their lives in light of
revealed truth in the Bible, and commit themselves to
these holy principles.
Our Lord said, "Go ye," but He also said, "Tarry ye." The
tarrying precedes the going. Had the disciples gone
before they were empowered by the Holy Spirit on the
day of Pentecost, it would have been a spiritual disaster.
It would seem that the Seed (the Word God) should
produce the same results and fruit regardless of the
spirituall condition of those who scatter It does not work,
that way! "The identical message preached. .by men of
differing degrees of godliness will produce different
kinds of converts
and result in a quality of Christianity varying according to
the purity and power of those who preach it. Christianity
will always produce after its kind." [A. W. Tozer

This inventory will accomplish very little, unless you are
completely transparent and honest in answering these
questions, in light of God's word . As these passages
and questions point out to you areas of sin, confess
them, repent of them, and recommit your life to Christ!
Then write
(in long-hand) the words of1John 1:9 across this page,
claim His forgiveness and your victory over these sins,
and destroy this sheet.
This "Spiritual inventory," taken seriously and prayerfully
completed, will greatly aid your effective preparation for
Evangelism Explosion's Equipping Ministry!
Unit 1:
Orientation
Overview: During this unit you will become familar
with the purpose
of Evangelism Explosion International. In addition, you
will learn some basics for effective evangelism, the
training format, and the basis of Biblical Evangelism. At
the end o today's session will see a demonstration of the
Gospel presentation, as you yourself will be able to give
it by the end of this training semester, "Fasten your
seatbelt" we are ready to begin a wonderful journey!
Scriptural Basis: Jesus said "AS the Father has
sent Me, also send you" (John 20:21). Churches that,
are not evangelistic are not only ineffective, they are in
revolt against the authority of our Lord! Not only are we
as believers in Christ to become soul-winners, we are to
train the newly saved to win the lost. ". . .The things that
you have heard from me
commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach
others also" (ll Timothy 2:2). The work of evangelism is
not complete until the
evangelized become evangelists!
Preparation: Essential the learning process S

timidity andnpride. You can become a winner of souls
and a trainer of souls and a trainer
of soul-winners. Follow Jesus, and He has promised to
do the rest (Matthew 4:19)! Through EE He is equipping
thousands of people just like you to obey the Great
Commission, and then when they are trained, to become
trainers of others.

SAMPLE TESTIMONIES
CHURCH TESTIMONY
The testimony may take either of two forms. It may be a
personal testimony or a church testimony. A church
testimory is simple and leads very easily into the
Diagnostic Questions. It would go as follows: After
discussing "our church" with him for a few moments, ask
if he has
any questions about our church. In 99% of the cases he
does not, If he does, answer the questions briefly and, in
either case, say- "Well, you have come to a new church.
Let me share with you a litle bit about our church and
what it is trying to do. Jesus Christ established the
Church in order that people might have life and that they
might have abundantly and eternally, But we have
discovered that there are millions of people in this
country - people who attend church regularly and try to
live according to the teachings of Christ - to whom,
somehow, we have failed to communicate that they can
know for sure they are going to have eternal life in
heaven.
"How about you, Jim? Have you come to a place in your
spiritual life where you know for sure - for certain -if you
died today you would go to heaven?"
The church testimony simply sets forth the purpose of
the Church to bring to an individual the assurance of
eternal life. Itis important to get him to admit that he
does not know he has eternal life, if indeed he does not;
otherwise, you may be forcing the Gospel on a person
who has expressed no need for it. A church testimony
prepares him not only for the first Diagnostic Question,
but also makes it easier for him to admit that he doesn't
know that he has eternal life. It does this in three ways,
by pointing out; (a) that there are millions people in the
Church who don't know this; (b) that they may be faithful
church members who are trying to follow the teachings
of Christ; and (c) that the Church has failed in its task to
communicate to them how they can know this. This
makes much easier for the person to admit he doesn't
have eternal.
ADULT CONVERSION TESTIMONY
Before I received eternal lite, I had a fear of death and
dying. The thought
of death terrifed me because I had no idea what lay
beyond death's door.
When I was in college, I was living in a small mobile
home. One night terrible storm arose with wind gusts
over 50 miles an hour. The rain was coming down hard it
was blowing horizontally across the ground. Our home
was rocking on its concrete block foundation. A bolt of
lightning
struck a tall oak tree right next to our home, I was so
afraid that I sat on the edge fo the sofa holding on, just
knowing I was going to die and terified every moment.
Not many months later, a friend shared with me
something very wonderful and I received eternal life.
Many things changed in my life.
Now that I have eternal life, the fear of death and dying
is gone. Not long after I had received eternal life we
were driving north on Interstate 57 during an ice storm
that put sheet of glazed ice on the highway. We were
easing along at 25 miles an hour when we came
alongside a semi-trailer truck, The wind was blowing
very hard and the trailer began to act like a sail catching
the wind. The truck was gradually being pushed across
the centerline and steadily toward our car. There was
nowhere to go. We couldnt go to the right as would run
into the truck; we couldn't go to the left because we
would eventually end up in a ditch with the truck on top
of us. As we waited to see the outcome, death or tragic
injury seemed certain. My whole life panned before me
and yet God had given me complete peace in my heart
knowing that even in light of this almost certain tragedy, I
knew for certain that if l were to die, I would go to
heaven. What a joy and difference that made us face
that danger. And it's the same today, know that if I were
to die right now, I would go to be with God in heaven.
May I ask you a question?
CHILDHOOD CONVERSION TESTIMONY
Im glad that - have eternal life because it has given me a
certainty of knowing where I am going when I die. I
therefore have no fear of death
and dying.
Not long ago, we were driving north on Interstate 57
during an ice storm that put a half inch thick sheet of
glazed ice across the highway. We were easing along
at 25 miles an hour looking for a place to get off the
highway to find shelter for the night. As we were driving,
we came alongside a semi-trailer truck. The wind was
blowing very hard and the trailer truck became like
sailboat catching the wind. The truck was gradually
being pushed across the centerline and steadily toward
our car.
There was nowhere to go. We couldn't go to the right as
we would run into the truck; we couldn't go to the left
because we would eventually end up in a ditch with the
truck on top of us. As we waited to see the outcome,
death or tragic injury seemed certain. My whole life
panned before me and yet God had given me complete
peace my heart knowing that even in light of this almost
certain tragedy, I knew for certain that if I were to die I
would go to heaven. What a joy and difference that
made as I faced that danger. And it's the same today. I
know that if l were to die right now, I would go to be with
God in heaven.
May I ask you a question?

Personal Testimony Refinement
Overview: This unit of your EE classroom time is given
to helping trainees
develop their personal testimonies as effective tools for
evangelism. Those writing their EE testimony for the first
time will work together in small groups to refine it.
Please be patient and understanding about suggested
changes. You probably have never given or or written
your testimony before with the same purpose, design,
changes. and restrictions required in an EE testimony.
Scriptural Basis: "And let us consider one another in
order to stir up love and good works .....exhorting
(encouraging) one another and so much as you see the
zday approaching (Hebrews 10:24-25)What one among
us doesn't much need encouragement help and
guidance? Your more experienced friends EE
want to lovingly offer you encouragement. You will also
be guiding others through this learning experience later
when you become a trainer of soul-winners
Preparation: Esential to the learning process is
preparation. EE helps you master the entire presentation
by increments, or "bite-size pieces. Complete each
asignment before coming to CLASS and OJT time.
Practice what you anticipate sharing during OJT time
each week. For your own record check each item as you
complete it
A. Class Preparation:
1. Read EE 118-130, " Questionnaire Evangelism."
2. Answer Study Guide Questions, TN 35.
3. Place cards 39, 40, on O-ring and begin
memorizing

Introduction this week,
2.Prepare to share your personal testimony after the
Gospel presentation.
3. Pray and observe during the presentation, as
taught
No Lecture for Unit 4
Since there is no lecture scheduled for Unit 4, you will
want to carefully review your lecture notes personal for
Units 1-3 before coming to class this week. You will
testimony, be and working group small members groups.
Each new trainee will read the first draft of his/her
personal testimony and group members will help refine it
by offtering evaluations and suggestions. Remember,
you have never before written or given
your testimony with the same restrictions and intentions
desired for an EE "before-the- -Gospe!" testimony.
Therefore, it should be no surprise to you if there are
some refinements suggested.
Assurance Questionaire
This is a good time to look at the Assurance
Questionnaire and demonstrate its use in class. Urge
trainers to demonstrate its use in OJT this week.

Overview: The last "'span" the Introduction

presenting the Gospel (See the Visual Advance
Organizer, TN 2 EE is well- known for its use of two
diagnostic questions. What would you call a doctor who
started prescribing. a medical remedy before making a
corect diagnosis? You would call him a quack," and
would be correct in doing so. Christians, however, must
not practice "religious quackery." These two questions
are tremendoursly effective in
helping determine where a person is in his spiritual
pilgrimage, before you offer spiritual help. This unit
teaches the proper use of the diagnostic questions
Scriptural Basis: "Let all things be done
decently and in order 1 Corinthians14: .40).
Thecdiagnostic questions, when properly used, are not
offensive. They do not suggest negatives. They assume
nothing other
than what the prospect answers. They are the most
polite probing into another's personal relationship to the
Heavenly Father we have found. Without such
knowledge, the witness is left in the dark as to how to
proceed, Learn how to use these questions, and then, in
turn, pass your training on to others who will become
your trainees in semesters of training to follow.
Preparation: the Essential entire to the

Unit 6:
Grace and Man
Overview: This unit wil equip you to effectively present
two of the five "spans" in the Gospel Explanation
"bridge," Grace and Man. Deeply ingrained in man is the
"works mentality' salvation. We must communicate
Grace. Heaven is free! Say it first, say it gladly and
often, as you present the Gospel!
Scriptural Basis: God resists the proud But gives grace,
tol the humble" (James 4:6). "And God able to make all
grace abound toward you ..." ll Corinthians 9:8). The
most wonderful thing about God's amazing grace
is that it is extended to and expended on sinners! "All we
like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one
to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity
of us all" (Isaiah 53:6). EE will assist you in
communicating Biblical truths concerning God's gracious
gift of eternal life. Man has great need for God's grace
because of his own sin. Thousands of true believers
have become so excited upon learning this truth they
gladly became involved in training others in evangelism .
You
will want to train others too when you have completed
your training
Preparation: the Essential entire to the learning process
is preparation. EE helps you master the entire
presentation by increments, or "bite-size pieces."
