It was snowing when I first saw him.

The sky was a dark grey and the pure white snow gently fell to the ground. His hair
waved in the light breeze as his glowing red eyes gazed at me.
I felt shivers from the cold wind touching my bare skin, (not naked, just wearing a
dress) and the way his eyes watched me intensely. His eyes which matched the blood
stains on his clothing and hand didn’t look away and neither did I, no I couldn’t.
It was almost like I was caught in a trance, and without realizing it my hands
reached out for him.
The body of the man that had attacked me slowly turned into sand leaving only the
snow tainted red.
My hands still held out reaching for him, as he kneeled down extending his arm.
He gazed at me with such sad eyes. It almost pained me to stare into those
beautiful orbs which held much sorrow and loneliness.
His large hands grasp my small ones helping me up from the cold ground before a
gust of wind blew.
I shielded my eyes with my hands. Once it had passed, he was gone.
My knight had disappeared into the wind leaving me behind.
“Milady!!” a voice called in the distance.
An elderly woman rushed towards me picking me up. “There you are, your parents were
worried sick…”
the woman smiled holding me close to her warm body.
“Let’s head back to the party shall we?” she asked before walking towards the
mansion.
I turn my gaze back to where I had been wondering if he would come back. Wondering
if I would see him again,
wondering if he would one day take me with him to a place away from this fearful
world….

It had been ten years since that day.

My parents where long gone leaving me with the family fortune. They were part of
the hunters association, and killed on a mission when I was nine.
After my encounter with the mysterious knight, I grew fascinated with him, wanting
to know what he was, wanting to know where he could be.
After years of research at the hunters association, I found out that there was a
school in which both humans and vampires attended going by the name cross academy.
I had a gut feeling that the he would be there, and so I enrolled into the school
through the headmaster himself since I knew the man quite well.

“hey Y/N, are you seriously still looking for that knight of yours?” the middle
aged man questioned resting his head on the wooden table.
“what does it matter to you if I am?” I asked crossing my legs before leaning back
on the chair. the man sighed adjusting his circular glasses.
“you’ve been searching for years and still nothing. Everyday your looking through
file after file on all the vampires at the association’s library. Your wasting your
time on this strange obsession that you have of finding this person who could
possibly be dead by now, or moved to a different country. Heck he could be married
with kids!”
the man exclaimed jumping up from his chair with a worried look.
“don’t tell me your going to wreck a happy family life by stealing him, stealing a
husband from a wife, stealing the children of a father?!”
I sigh pinching the bridge of my nose. “god kaien, sometimes I wonder what goes on
in your head…” the man sat back down on his seat clearing his throat.
“now that you’ll be attending this school, you must call me by headmaster cross…”
he looked up quickly grasping my hands in his.
“or you can call me papa~”
I pull my hands away from his before scotching back a bit “I don’t think so…”
the headmaster started to tear up blowing his nose on a napkin.
“I watched you grow up to be a young lady, im basically like a second father to
you, one could even say I raised you…” the man started to wail as the door opened.
“What do you want old man?” an annoyed voice asked as I turn my gaze towards the
silver haired boy.
“Ah, zero I didn’t know you also went here?”
the lavender eyed boy looked displeased upon seeing my face and glared at the
headmaster.
“Why is she here?” he spat the words out like venom.
I gasped “zero, I thought you would actually enjoy my company… and here I thought
we were friends…” I said with a fake hurt face.
The boy looked quite irritated glaring at me with annoyance.
“Now, now kids no fighting here. Zero, I wanted to introduce you to the new member
of the disciplinary committee. Y/N will be starting school today so be her guide
and make her feel welcomed…” the headmaster stated and quickly left out the door
having some kind of business to deal with.
“So… where to first my gui—“
I turn to see that zero had already left the room.
I quickly rush out to see him walking down the hall. “You better hurry up. I’m not
going to wait for you, the tour starts now…” he stated as I speed walked towards
him.
“Who woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning?” I pouted crossing my arms
as we walked down passing some students who were whispering and watching me.
I felt a bit uncomfortable from their gaze as I quickly tried to shuffle past them
trying to get away before crashing into zero’s back. The silver haired boy turned
to face me with an angry expression. I awkwardly laughed before backing up a bit.
The boy sighed before continuing to walk before turning a corner and walking out
the door with me following behind.

It wasn’t even like a tour at all.

Basically just me following him around the entire school before making a last stop
at the moon dorms. He turned away once we arrived at the large gates and walked
into the woods leaving me behind.
“z-zero? Zero!!?” I call out to the boy who ignored my voice.
I sighed knowing this was going to happen. I take out my phone to check the time to
see that it was already eight.
I slip the phone back into my pocket before picking up my single bag and opening
the large gates which were unlocked.
I cautiously walk towards the doors in case of being attacked before quickly
scurrying towards the door which to my surprise suddenly opened in result in me
crashing into a person.

“I’m so sorry…” I apologized opening my eyes to meet an angelic face.

“Are you alright miss?” the voice asked and I realized how close my face was to his
and that I was on top of him. I start to panic as my face flushed a bright red.
“Oh kami. I’m sorry, really…. Sorry.” I quickly get up backing away from the man a
bit to make more space. Once the blond haired boy stood up, I felt really short… he
was like really tall….

I frowned before sulking in the corner. Were all the guys this huge?

“Miss, are you alright? Are you hurt?” the student asked again as I turned towards
him while being curled up into a ball in the corner.
I slowly nod before hiding my face inside my arms and wept.
“Why am I so short??” I cried out as the blond haired boy awkwardly stood there
with a sweat drop forming on his head.
“ichijo, what’s wrong?” another voice which seemed monotone questioned.
I look up to see a mahogany haired boy with blue eyes munching on a pocky stick. He
looked towards me with a confused expression before chewing another pocky stick.
I continued to watch the boy eat the delicious treat before my stomach decided to
make loud whale noises.
My face turned into 50 shades of red as I embarrassingly covered my face with my
hands.
“Who’s this chick ichijo?” a female voice which was monotone asked as I peeked
through my fingers to see a blond haired girl which was tied into pig tails. Her
blue eyes gazed at me before turning back to the mahogany haired boy and taking a
pocky from his hand.
The boy chewing this pocky shrugged as the two looked back and forth between the
blond named ichijo and me. “This isn’t one of your lovers quarrels right?” the two
questioned in a monotone voice backing up a bit.
The blond shook his head with a nervous face. “Of course not” he stated “when have
I ever had one of those lovers’ quarrels? I don’t even remember having a lover to
quarrel with…”
“Sure….” The two stated with an unsure tone.
Ichijo sighed before turning to face me. “May I ask who you are?” he questioned
with the most angelic smile that my heart melted a bit.
“Ah. Its Y/N L/N…”
the boy scratched his chin trying to remember something before he snapped his
finger with a surprised expression. “Oh that’s right; you’re the new student who
will be joining the night class dorm as a disciplinary committee member. I didn’t
realize that you would be arriving so soon. If I had known you would be here today
I would have made your arrival more welcoming.
I apologize for the lack of introduction.”
He stated before kneeling down and extending a hand towards me.
“My name is takuma ichijo and I am the moon dorm vice president.”

The sudden memory of that snowy day of the man lending me a hand rushed through my
head as I stared at the large hands of the blond boy. The vice president looked
confused
“is something the matter?”
I look at his angelic face as thoughts whirled through my mind.

Had i just found my knight?????????????

There was a boy I once met when I was younger. He had beautiful forest green eyes
and ash blond hair.
He had the most angelic smile.
“are you alright?” he asked with such concern in his face.
I had never met the boy and he was worried for me?
“i-i…” my 5 year old self stuttered crying her eyes out. “it hurts…” she cried
looking down at the cut on her knee.
Her teary eyes looked up at his which flashed a red before turning back to his
normal orbs.
“here let me see…” he said in a gentle tone.
“good thing I have a Band-Aid.” He smiled taking one out of his pocket.
He placed it gently on her knee before smiling “there all better…”
My 5 year old self sniffed trying to wipe away the tears but it wouldn’t stop.
“don’t cry the pain will go away soon. Here how about I kiss it better hmm?” He
leaned down placing a soft kiss on her knee. “now it’ll be all better. So don’t cry
anymore okay?”
She nodded as she brushed her tears away.
“do you want to go play on the swings with me?” he asked as she nodded with a
smile.
“mmhmm…” she grinned taking his gentle warm hands and walking to the sing sets…

“hello? Miss? Hello???”

I shook my head from that strange flashback and looked up at his forest green orbs.
He seemed really familiar with his gentle tone of voice and kind eyes.
I slowly take his hand which felt warm and pulled myself up from the ground. “are
you sure your alright? No need to call the nurse?” he chuckled as I shook my head.
“sorry about that I just remembered something that happened a long time ago…” I
smiled letting his hand go.
“ah well this is rima…” he said pointing to the girl. “and this is shiki…”
I bowed “pleasure to meet you…”
they both nodded whilst chewing on strawberry pocky.
“oh look at the time im late for a meeting, rima shiki” he turned to the two people
“can you show miss L/N around?”
The two shook their heads no.
Ichijo sighed.
“well im late, im counting on you two…” he stated before running out the door.
Once the doors slammed shut, an awkward silence filled the room as I stared at the
two students who also stared back munching on the stick. They kinda reminded me of
hamsters…
A minute passed when rima turned to the mahogany haired boy.
“you do it, im busy…”
“with what?”
“girl stuff, you wouldn’t understand…” and with that she walked out the door taking
the box of pocky with her.
Shiki sighed before gazing at me intently.
“umm…. H-hi…” I stutter awkwardly waving my hand but his facial expression never
changed.
“so………” I mutter trying to start a conversation “night class eh…?”
He only continued to stare making me nervous.
He suddenly turned away walking down a hallway.
“umm.. do I like follow or…?”
He paused turning around watching me with those lightly tinted blue orbs before
continuing on down the hall.
“I’ll take that as a yes…”
I quickly shuffle up to him halting to a stop so I wouldn’t crash into him like I
did with zero.
The mahogany haired boy looks at my face as I awkwardly stood there nervously
laughing.
“aha.. so um… hello again…”
He suddenly leaned closer as I leaned back a bit.
“um.. can I help you?”
The boy sniffed the air before leaning back.
“you smell nice…” he stated before turning around and walked on.

Well this was totally not awkward. A cute monotone guy saying I smelled nice who
lets not forget is a vampire… just perfect…
Hopefully he wont come draining my blood when im asleep….
Well the tour was not how I had hoped it would go…
I mean it was better then zeros who just stopped in every room for five seconds
before heading to another room.
I had to figure out what room it was myself…

I suppose shiki's tour was the same as zeros but at least the guy said where we
were.
We enter the garden and the mahogany boy would say “plants”

We enter the kitchen

“food”

We enter the library

“books”

We headed up the stairs to the rooms after

“stairs…”

We entered his room for some reason “me and takuma”

He pointed to the two beds in the room
“bed…”
“window”
“clothes”

“uhh.. shiki-kun, you don’t have to name everything…” I say as the boy stared at me
making me feel uncomfortable. Only when I told him he could do what ever he wanted
did he stop staring.

He also showed me a box in which he kept all his pockys

“mine…” he stated glaring at me while hugging the container in a protective manner.

Thus ended the tour with him showing me to my room which was at the end of the hall
on the girls side.
“your room…” he said before turning around and walking away.
“umm.. thanks for the tour I think?”
He gave a curt nod before walking down the stairs.

Was everyone bad at showing people around the school? I wondered before opening the
door to reveal my room.
A small cozy room with only one bed and two doors, one on each side. large white
French doors lead to the balcony and a dresser in one corner and a study table on
the other.
I place my bag down opening one door to reveal a large bathroom but not as large as
the ones back home and the other door was a large closet with a vanity table
inside.
My night class uniform was also inside folded neatly and placed on one of the
shelves in the closet.
I guess it was kinda nice to live a normal life in a normal sized room and a normal
school unlike the ones back home where life was that of a princess.
A sigh of relief escapes my mouth as I fall down onto my bed.
I was excited to meet new people and make new friends. To live a life where I don’t
have people always walking behind me because of our titles but perhaps beside me as
a friend.
But most importantly,
finding him…

*Knock knock knock*

The abrupt soft knocking on my door made me jolt up from bed.

 My eyes gaze at the door wondering who it could have been.
Just as I was about to get up to check....

the door knob turned and the door slowly creaked open.

With my mind unsure of what to do suddenly being on the spot, I quickly sat up
looking around the room for some sort of weapon in case I needed to protect myself.
Or perhaps an escape plan?
But as the door began to fully open, I realize that it was too late and I would
just have go with the flow stepping forward when my feet suddenly decided to trip
on an imaginary object on the dark red carpet.
My face hit against what would be the chest of the person who now stood before me.
His arms were embracing me as i leaned back a bit to see a black button up shirt
which was not fully buttoned revealing his chest.
My E/C eyes slowly gazed up to meet a pair of redish brown eyes on a very handsome
face.
"oh my..." The man seemed slightly surprised from the sudden closeness but didn't
seem to be moving away.
My mind went blank unsure of what to do as I stared intently into the face of a
beautiful stranger.
His dark hair fell down his face as his lips parted slightly with a statement in
mind. He reminded me of a prince from a fairy tale.
The sudden realization of our closeness hit me as I backed away from the mans
embrace.
"Oh I am terribly sorry..." I started to speak a bit flustered from the warm
sensation I had felt when he had touched me.
But the sudden thought of this man being some assailant sent to kill me made me
wonder why I was apologizing to the man who had sudden entered my room.
As I nervously looked around in panic at all the possible options that I could
take, the man began to chuckle.
I turn my attention back to him wondering why he was laughing.
"I apologize for my intrusion." He said with an amused smile. "I hadn't realized
that I would see you in here. Or at least not yet..."
He seemed to be in thought before turning back to my confused face.
"You must be quite confused..."
I began to nod wondering what he had meant by his previous comment.
"Well to begin..." he smiled which seemed kinda forced. "My name is Kaname Kuran
and I'am the moon dorm president."
He was the moon dorm president....
My eyes widened as I began to panic. My actions must have given him a bad
impression.
He must think ill of me now...
As I began to bite my lip with a nervous frown, he began to laugh again as I looked
up at his face confused.
"I'm sorry for laughing, you just really reminded me of a little rabbit lost and
unsure of what to do as it scurries around with confusion."
I began to ponder what he had said when he chuckled. His voice was really smooth
and nice to listen to for some reason.
"Your doing it again, that lost and confused face..."
He must have noticed my displeased expression of being thought of as a lost little
rabbit and became a bit more serious.
"I had planned to show you around the campus but it would seem that someone has
already shown you around..." He seemed a bit disappointed.
"No matter..." He smiled again. "I suppose i'll just have to guide you through our
classes then. Hmm?"
I slowly nodded unsure of what to say. He seemed like a kind and gentle person but
he also seemed like a very sad person with a tragic past of some sort.
I didn't want to upset him since he was the moon dorm president and I had probably
already given him a bad impression but also the fact that I genuinely didn't want
to see him look so sad and alone.
"Well you must be tired, I was hoping to at least show you the classes and get your
uniforms but-"
"I would love to go." I cut him off and he seemed a bit startled.
I suddenly realized that I had been rude by cutting him off and that I had been a
bit too forward.
"Ah, I mean..." I began to correct myself. "I do not feel tired at all and found
find it the most grateful if you were to show me the classes and get my uniform..."
I looked up at his face to see if I had said the wrong thing yet be seemed quite
surprised.
Oh i forgot to use formal names.
"K-kuran senpai..."

I was a bit awkward for me since I don't usually act formal with anyone from always
being treated all high and mighty.
I looked at his face again and saw him smile a bit more naturally.
"You don't need to be so formal with me when you speak. Kaname is just fine too..."
he chuckled before stepping outside the door.
"Shall we go then?"

I was a bit startled from his sudden smile and began to quickly nod. "O-of
course..." I stutter quickly following up to his pace.
"Kaname-senpai..."

I notice that he seemed a bit at ease as the two of us walked side by side through
out the entire time we walked towards the school...

He really did seem like a kind prince...

The walk enjoyable as we conversed with one another. He would talk to his past life
and of things he had seen including a flower that is quite rare. He mainly talked
about his younger sister who he didn't name but from they way he would describe
their time together, I knew he cherished her very much. I told him of my life
before attending cross academy at the hunters association and of my childhood back
at the manor where I would spend the summer playing in the open fields behind the
hills.
I didn't tell him too much details of the person who saved me or of my family life,
but he didn't press the question.
We talked of many things but our conversation was cut short when we arrived at the
school.
"this way" He said leading me down the hall and into a class room where many night
class students were sitting in the dim lit room.
I felt quite nervous but held my stance beside the tall brunette.
"This is Y/N L/N. She will be attending the night class from now on even if she is
a human." Kaname said with a serious gaze at the vampires in the room. "No harm
will come upon Ms.L/N or you will be hearing from me is that understood?"
Everyone in the room fell silent before bowing. "Yes lord Kuran."
'Lord Kuran?' I began to wonder why they were all calling kaname by his last name
and lord to top it off.
When it hit me. I had totally forgotten about the pure bloods and of the kuran
family. Kaname was a dangerous man to be near and I started to feel tense around
him not to mention that I was in a room full of vampires.
He must have noticed and placed a hand on my shoulder with a reassuring smile.
"If you need anything, just ask."
His smile made me feel a bit more calm when I thought back to our conversation
realizing that I could trust the pure blood.
When I turned back to my classmates, I felt so naked as they all gazed at me with a
coldness in the air. The only normal ones were the two monotone people I had met
earlier, the girl rima and the mahogany haired boy named shiki.
A strange blond haired boy sitting beside a tall orange haired boy seemed to be
smiling and waving at me.
'They seem harmless... Right?'
Unsure of where to sit or what to do, Kaname placed an arm around my shoulder
before lightly pushing me towards a spot in the corner.
With the glares from the other vampires still on me, the pure blood vampire brought
me to a seat and sat me down with a slightly forceful push.
"You can sit here" Kaname stated before sitting down beside me.
I hesitantly nod looking down at my table from all the staring especially from a
girl with long wavy toffee hair who seemed to be glaring daggers at me.
Everyone eventually returned to what they were doing talking to one another in low
voices.
I wasn't trying to eavesdrop but I could tell they were talking about me...
As I squirm on my seat, I turn a bit to see kaname gazing out the window lost in
thought.
"Well hello there" A voice called as I turn to meet the gaze of a blue marble like
eyes of the blond haired vampire who waved at me before.
"I didn't get to introduce myself, the names Aido, Hanabusa Aido" He said with a
smile leaning on the table "Whats yours beautiful lady?"
"A-ah oh its u-uh" I stutter a bit startled by the sudden appearance of the boy.
"Hanabusa" a silk like voice commanded making the boy tense up.
Kaname glared at the boy who was now sweating nervously. "Show Y/N the proper ways
of the night class." Kaname said before turning back out the window.
"Y-yes of course Kuran-sama." The boy stuttered nervously before turning to me.
"So Y/N-chan, can I call you by your first name?" He asked politely but still
seemed quite flirtatious.
I nod as the boy suddenly took hold of my hands.
"Lets be great friends okay?" He grinned "How about I show you around the
surroundings?"
"Don't worry we wont cause any trouble, after all you are part of the disciplinary
committee and the hunters association right?" He quickly added in to play it in the
safe side.
With out seeing anything wrong in doing so, I slowly nodded as the boy quickly
pulled me along with him down the stairs.
"Hanabusa" Kaname called again freezing the boy on his tracks.
Kaname glared at the blond boy making him squirm. "I expect her to be fine when I
see her again or there will be punishment in order."
"O-of course Kuran-sama. Not a single hair on her will be harmed..." He nervously
stuttered before the two of us quickly walked out the room.
Once outside in the halls, he sighed in relief.
"Hanabusa-san..." I call him "Are you alright?"
The boy seemed quite pale even for a vampire. He wiped his forehead before
regaining his composure.
"You can just call me Aido." He smiled with a flirtatious look. Yep he was back.
" Aido-senpai does Kaname-senpai make you nervous and tense?" I question making the
boy cough.
"N-no not at all..." He nervously laughed. "Why would you say that?"
"Hnnn, no reason, just curious."
It was most likely from kaname being a pure blood and having authority.
"Anyways..." Aido lifted my chin up to gaze into his eyes. "Now that we are
alone..."
Suddenly a girl jumps in the air kicking the blond boy away.
Aido flys across the hall as Rima stood before me. "R-rima-san" I was surprised to
see her.
She turned to me with a straight face before turning to the now angry aido.
"What the hell!" Aido yelled holding his bleeding head. "Are you trying to kill
me?!"
Rima turned away completely ignoring the injured boy.
"Kaname-sama said to go along with you guys in case something happened." She stated
patting my head. "You are alright human. I have rescued you from the filthy dog."
I stared at her really confused while Aido seemed angry to be called a filthy dog.
"Kaname-sama doesn't trust Y/N alone with you..." Another monotone voice spoke up
behind me making me jump.
"Oh, Shiki-san."
The boy gave a curt nod to acknowledge my presence before turning to the blond
haired boy.
"Well we don't need you right Y/N?" Aido questioned with a frown pointing at the
two unwanted guests.
"W-well.." I was cut off when Shiki suddenly placed his chin on top of my head. His
arms wrapped around me with a box of pocky in hand "Too bad she's coming with us."
Rima stood beside me ready to pick my legs up so that the two of them could make a
run with me. It felt weird to be in this situation as I watched rima and aido
bicker.
"Lets ask Y/N who she would rather go with!" Aido shouted turning to me. "You want
to go with me right?" He smiled but rima pushed him aside.
"Actually-"
Shiki suddenly pushed a pocky stick into my mouth.
"too bad, she's coming with us anyways." He stated with his chin still resting on
my head.
"Let Y/N-chan decide." Aido frowned as he and Rima both turned to me.
"So do you want to go with me?" Aido asked.
"Or do you wanna come with us. We'll keep you safe from this filthy dog." Rima said
pointing at aido who was glaring at the girl.
"We will also offer you free pocky" Shiki stated shaking the pocky box in his hand
near my face while he began to chew on one with his head still resting on mine.
Unsure of who to go with not wanting to hurt either party, I quickly decided.

"I choose...!"
With my eyes squinted shut, I point at the person that I wished to go with.

Its a tree

Silence was all I could hear. No one had said a single thing for a while so I began
to worry that I had done something wrong. Peaking my eyes open, I see all three
people staring at me a bit dumbfound.
“umm…...”

I look down at my out stretched hand, following the line to see that my finger had
pointed at….
“A tree..??!” Everyone exclaimed at the same time.
“Ehhhhhh!!??” I looked around at the three people frantically “um.. I…..”
“It would seem that she really doesn’t want to go with you aido….” Shiki spoke as
Rima nodded in agreement.
“She would rather prefer a tree over you…” Rima stated as the blond boy looked at
the girl trying to protest back.
“Hey, you weren’t picked either!” Aido shouted as a fourth member suddenly arrived.
“What’s with all this commotion?” A deep voice questioned as a very tall man
emerged from behind a tree with a yawn.
We all stood there confused as his orange eyes gazed around at the people before
stopping on me making me startled.
“Ah, Akatsuki, why are you out so early?” Aido questioned as the tan skinned man
looked down with a sigh.
“I could hear you all yelling out here which woke me from my nap…” He stated
rubbing his neck.
“By the way,” He looked towards me with a straight expression making it hard for me
to understand what the male was thinking. “Who’s she?”

After a while of explaining or trying to explain the whole story, Akatsuki nodded
as if he now understood. “Well, why don’t we all just go together?”
Everyone froze wondering why they hadn’t thought of this before.
“Akatsuki-kun is right. How about we all go together rather then just wasting time
fighting over it?” I suggested as the three main trouble makers sighed.

“Alright….” “Fine…” “……”

They all said at the same time.

About half an hour had already passed as the five of us decided to take a break
near a fountain.
“Well this was fun.” I smiled watching Rima and Shiki eat strawberry pockys while
Akatsuki stood against a tree nearby as if lost in thought. Aido seemed to be
ranting to the tall boy before falling down in defeat. I was curious to know what
they were talking about but laughed with aido sulking in the corner.
Suddenly I feel someone grab my chin before forcing me to turn my head towards
them.
Shiki with a pocky in his mouth tried to put one in my mouth.
“Uhh… Shiki-kun theres no need to hold my chin…” I said awkwardly but the mahogany
haired boy didn’t seem to change his expression.
Opening my mouth in defeat, he placed the pocky in my mouth, releasing my chin
after.
He looked back down trying to find a new packed of pocky as I munched on the stick.
Shiki seemed to be a bit strange with showing his thoughts and feelings along with
rima but it kind of made an adorable trait. Looking back at Aido up and ranting
again, I couldn’t help but let out a soft laugh before feeling a slight grip on my
hand.

“Don’t…” Shiki spoke softly as I look down to see that the mahogany haired boy was
holding my hand.

“Don’t look at other men…”

I look at the boy who returned a serious gaze making my heart skip a beat. Rima
seemed to have stopped chewing on her pocky but didn’t seem to be turning over at
us.
I could feel the heat rising in my cheeks a bit embarrassed and yet at the same
time it felt awkward.
Could shiki-kun think of me….. in that way….
I try to shake that idea off knowing that there was no way with us having just met.
But it could be possible that he is….

He tried to speak as the silence grew longer with my anticipation.

“Pocky!!” Rima suddenly exclaimed as the mahogany haired boy and I both stared at
the female before us.
“Shiki loves his pockys and sometimes when he eats a lot of it, his mind kinda
wanders…” Rima stated as I nodded understanding why the boy suddenly acted strange.
“I see…” I looked up at the two monotone people. “Maybe you guys should cut down on
your pocky intake…”

“Erk…” Rima choked wondering if it was such a good idea to have said that but held
a nervous smile. “Y-your right Y/N-chan… aha… ha,ha…” Rima held up a crooked smile
as the mahogany haired boy looked confused.
“Wait, does my mind really wander?” Shiki questioned trying to think back on all
the times he ate pocky but Rima pushed the boy aside sitting down beside me.
“Y/N-chan just tell us if you want to ditch the dog over there okay?” Rima said the
dog part a bit loudly just to irritate the blond idol.
Aido looked furious as he marched over towards us with a frown. “What did you say
you monotone freak?”
“That we should ditch the filthy dog…” Rima barked as their two foreheads clashed
with one another, pushing back and forth.
Suddenly a sly smirk came on Rima’s face as she tilted over a bit. Aido was
surprised as he suddenly lost balance and fell into the fountain water.
“Ahhh!!” The blond haired boy shouted crashing into the water with a loud splash.
The splash hit us all resulting in our clothing getting slightly wet.
“Damn dog ruined my uniform and hair…” Rima frowned as Aido began to sneeze.
Shiki seemed to be lost in his thoughts in the corner while Akatsuki-san leaded
against a tree with his eyes shut close and I, stood here in between these two
bickering people.

“What the hell’s going on?” A voice questioned as we all turned to see the silver
haired boy standing in front of us with a frown.
“Oh, Zero….” I laugh nervously wondering how I was going to explain this mess “What
brings you here?”
Zero looked displeased “What do you think idiot, I have to patrol around to watch
for vampires that make trouble…”
“Ah, okay….” I smile “Well it was nice seeing you…”
I wave turning around to walk away but was held back with a tight grip.
“Where do you think your going?” Zero questioned as I froze with fear.
“Erk…” I began to panic looking at the other people for help but they all just
whistled.
“Hey look over there!” Aido shouted pointing at the dark sky.
“Oh wow that looks interesting…” Rima stated as the four people looked up at
nothing with fascination.
‘What great friends…’ I thought looking back at the boy with a gulp.
“Zero, d-did I ever tell you that you a-are my best f-friend…?”
The silver haired boy’s frown grew deeper. “Y/N, what do you think your doing?” He
questioned.
“Um, telling you how awesome you are?” I spoke wondering if the boy was going to
give me a lecture but he only sighed.
“Seems I have two idiots to take care of…” Zero spoke to himself before ruffling up
my hair.
“Please realize how dangerous it is for you to be here…” Zero said letting me go.
“Don’t get carried away…” Was all he said before disappearing off into the dark
night.
I stood there watching his figure leave a bit taken back. I had waited for a
painful lecture of harsh words which never came.

“Oh look its moving…” Akatsuki stated as the three people awed.
“guys, he’s gone, you can stop now.”

“Ah, its shining…” Rima spoke pointing up at the sky.

“Guys, I know your staring at nothing…” I deadpanned watching as the four idiots
before me continued on with their charade.

The group had gone separate ways as Shiki and Rima headed off to the moon dorm
while Akatsuki and Aido headed back to class after dropping me off at the
headmasters office.
I thanked the two guys before heading into the familiar doors of Kaien’s office.

“You idiot.” The blue eyed female scolded the mahogany haired boy.
“A moment longer and you would have ruined everything.”
The boy looked down a bit as the two students walked back to the dorm.
“But I just wanted to tell her how I feel…” Shiki said “I don’t want her to be
tainted by any other guy…”
Rima sighed. She was glad that Y/N had bought the sudden outburst but knew that she
couldn’t hide every little mistake that might take place in the future.
“Just be a little patient” The female stated reassuringly.

"My darling!~~"
I froze as the grown man threw himself at me with a tight hug. "Papa missed you
greatly. Why didn't you visit?" He began to cry.
Prying him off of me, I stepped back a bit to maintain a safe distance from the
man. "Please contain your self headmaster Cross..." I stated with my arms crossed.
"I came to clarify my stay here."
The blond haired man seemed to understand and straightened himself before sitting
down on his chair. "So have you found him?" He questioned with a serious glance
which he rarely ever showed me.
Sitting down across from him, I shook my head. "No I haven't but I'm certain he's
here, somewhere in the moon dorms. I already might have some leads but for now I'm
satisfied to just know he's here."
Kaien smiled "So have you made any friends at the moon dorms?"
I chuckled, "Yes, though they are a strange bunch..." I stated thinking of them.
"I'm glad to hear that." Kaien stated as he opened a file. "Now if you don't mind,
I have some things to tend to." He began to write something down with a pen zoning
into his work.
I could tell he was a busy man but he seemed to be a bit irritated perhaps with me?
I couldn't say for sure but he did seem a bit overly focused with work which I knew
for a fact was only when he was trying to keep his mind busy.
Standing up and heading towards the door, I glance back at the man who was only
looking down at the papers with a pen in hand.
"Bye..."
"hmm." He didn't look up.
I sighed a bit irritated at the man and walked out with out shutting the door as a
way of getting back at him. It was almost morning so I should be heading back to
the moon dorms to get my things organized.
"Maybe I'll ask Rima if she wants to help me..." I chuckled to myself knowing
perfectly well the girl wont help me unless I bribe her with pocky.

Kaien placed down his pen once Y/N had left and sighed. He felt a little guilty
ignoring the (h/c) haired female but couldn't help feeling a little irritated to
know the only reason she was staying here was to find some guy who she knows
nothing about. He didn't want his precious daughter to get a broken heart when she
finds out the truth. He would rather Y/N meeting a decent man and getting married
with children of her own but the thought of her leaving him and marrying someone
depressed the blond haired man even more.

"Oh Y/N..." He whined. "Why can't you just stay with me so I can continue to
protect you..."

"Achoo!" I sneezed before looking up. "I hope I'm not catching something..."

Back at the moon dorms, I headed back to my room and dropped down on the large bed.
A heavy sigh escaped my lips as I gazed up at the ceiling. Thinking of my day, I
giggled remembering Aido and Rima arguing and when zero showed up. But then I
thought of Kaiens cold shoulder and pouted "idiot..." I sighed slowly drifting off
into dream land. A dream where my father and mother were still alive during a time
when they used to worry over their only child.
"Y/N we were worried sick about you!" My mother cried before embracing me with her
warm hug.
"Where have you been?!" Father questioned and I couldn't help but cry. It was an
old nostalgic memory rather than a dream where I couldn't even remember where I had
gone that made my parents so worried or why I was crying heavy tears but it did
happen. Though the one thing I don't remember much about was the strange mark on my
small neck. A bite mark.
But that didn't seem to be the issue as I just sank into the warm hugs of my
parents love.

Unknowingly as the (h/c) haired female slept soundly, the door slowly opened and a
figure walked towards her. Gazing down at the girl, the figure gently brushed aside
her tears.
"Okaasan... Otousan..." She whispered as another tear fell from her sleeping eyes.
The unknown figure gently pet her head with a grin and leaded down towards her ear
before whispering with a chuckle...

"Do you still remember...?"

"The hunters and the vampires have had a long history of bloodshed and-" The
elderly history teacher began to talk though no one seemed the slightest bit
interested.
A sigh escapes my mouth as I sat there with my chin resting on the table. It had
been a long unpleasant day and it wasn't even because I was partially sleep
deprived.
It all started when I was woken up from my peaceful sleep....
~Flash back to a couple hours ago~
There was a ruckus going on in Hanabusa's room and so I had gone to check. Upon
entering the room, I see Kaname walking out with an irritated look and the blond
idol on the ground in defeat clutching broken glass.
I was about to ask what happened but taking one look in his room, I could assume
what had happened.
There were a bunch of clutters and broken things all stored in china cabinets as if
to be displayed.
"Aido..." I call getting the attention of Akatsuki-kun and the blond idol himself.
"I didn't know you were such a hoarder..." I say looking away with a displeased
expression.
Akatsuki-kun held a snicker as Hanabusa looked like his soul had just been crushed.
I jump when I hear Rima laugh behind me. Turning, I see her in a light green night
gown with her arms crossed.
"Even Y/N can tell the difference between a filthy dog and a normal person." She
snickered making Aido mad on purpose.
"Get out of my room you monotone freak!" He shouted.
"Im not even in your room" She stated looking down at her feet that stood just
outside the doorway. I could tell that Aido was just about ready to pounce.
"I don't have time to bicker with you." She stated before looking at me. "I came to
get Y/N."
"Me?" I questioned a bit confused as to why she would need me. "What for?"

"There we go." Rima stepped back with a nod of approval.

Having been dragged into the girls room, I had assumed it was something important,
not trying on dresses.
Looking at myself in the mirror, I could feel a sweat drop forming on my forehead
as I stood there wearing a long blue dress.
"Rima," I turn around. "Why are we trying on dresses again?"
The girl looked at me with an intense gaze. "We must get you dressed up for Shik-"
She paused. "-for the ball."
A sweat drop formed on my fore head. "And why are we doing that now when the ball
isn't even for another two weeks?"
Rima seemed confused with the question and I decided to let it go.
After an hour of trying on dresses, I felt exhausted from the amount of changing I
had done and quickly snuck out the door when Rima wasn't looking.
After I was back in the comfort of my own room, I let out a sigh of relief.
"Oh hello?" A voice questioned as I looked up startled.
Ichijo sat on his bed topless. His hair was drenched wet and a towel hung around
his neck. It was only until I had a good look around the room that I realized I had
entered the wrong one.
"This isn't my room... is it?" I chuckle watching as the blond haired boy before me
shook his head with an angelic smile.
"Sorry...!" i exclaim bolting out the room leaving the boy startled and very
confused.
I could feel one of those anime nose bleeds coming on as I rushed back to my actual
room. My face was burning from the embarrassing encounter I had just experienced.
~Flash back end~
Gazing over at the blond haired angel that sat there taking notes attentively, I
could still see the vice presidents beautiful flawless naked-
I quickly shook my head slapping my cheeks lightly. I shouldn't be thinking about
that I tell myself feeling my face heat up again.
I turn to my side to see kaname looking at me with concern and knowing that he had
just seen my little charade, I smile sheepishly before turning my face the other
way with a look of defeat.
'Now kaname must think I'm a weirdo....' I cry to myself.
I didn't even notice the pure blood leave until I saw everyone rise as he left the
room whispering something to Ichijo before leaving.
I began to wonder why he would suddenly leave and remembered his look of concern at
me just a minute ago and went back down to cry internally from my embarrassment.

I didn't even realize I had fallen asleep until I felt someone tap my shoulder
gently. Looking up with a drool on my face, I see that it was just Ichijo.
"Oh hey Ichijo-senpai.." I smile tiredly before going back down to sleep.
'Ichijo!?' my eyes widened as I sat back up quickly wiping away my drool.
The boy was smiling at me waiting patiently as I looked around to see no one there.
"Wait...." I tried to process things "Class ended already?"
He only chuckled. "It seemed that you fell asleep during sensei's lecture."
I began to recall what had happened in his bedroom earlier on in the day while
scratching my neck sheepishly. "Ahahahahahahah."
"Miss L/N?" He called out and I shook my head.
"Please, Y/N is just fine."
He smiled. "Y/N then."
I smiled wondering what he had to say but then realized I hadn't apologized
properly for the incident this morning.
"I'm sorry about this morning for entering your room and seeing you-" I paused
feeling myself heat up again. "I will take full responsibility if necessary!"
"It is alright Y/N. I am not here to talk about that." He stated.
I looked at him confused. "Your not?"
He shook his head. "Not quite."
His smile seemed to have disappeared and he looked down at the table lost in
thought before looking back up at me.
"I wanted to ask you-"
But before he could finish, a loud crash erupted from outside the classroom and a
high pitch scream echoed the halls.
