Week 2: Introduction to Creative Writing

• Session: Purpose-driven Writing & Messaging


• Task: Write 2 blog pieces (300–400 words)
• Topics: “What Makes a Great Workplace” / “My First Week at OCAPL”
• One-on-one Writing Review

Week 3: Social Media Copywriting


• Workshop: Crafting Captions, Hooks, and Hashtags
• Task: Write 4–5 social media captions for OCAPL themes
• Develop a weekly post calendar outline
• Peer Review & Edits

Week 4: Basics of Visual Design

• Training: Using Canva and OCAPL brand elements


• Task: Create 2–3 sample designs
• Rework 1 existing OCAPL post
• Visual Feedback Session

Week 5: Theme-Based Post Development

• Focus: Culture, Team Moments, Behind-the-Scenes


• Task: Build content set for 2 themes
• Optional: Shadow a social media review call
• Mid-program Review
Week 6: Micro Campaign Planning

• Topic: Campaign Design Process


• Task: Plan a mini campaign with captions and designs
• Mentor Check-in for Alignment

Week 7: Capstone Project Execution

• Finalize content and designs for campaign


• Include captions, hashtags, mockups
• Assemble presentation deck
• Dry run with mentor
