SAP offers the following class for the SAP Java Connector (SAP JCo):
· BIT526 Developing BAPI-enabled Web Applications with Java (five days course)
Course Goals
This course will prepare you to:
· Build applications and components in Java that communicate with SAP R/3 Systems and
other SAP Components.
· Use Business Application Programming Interfaces (BAPIs), other RFC-enabled Function
Modules (RFMs), and ALE Intermediate Documents (IDocs).
Both inbound and outbound calls are covered in the course.
Target Audience
Experienced Java Programmers who want to use BAPIs and/or IDocs to build Internet, Intranet
or desktop applications that communicate with SAP R/3 Systems and other SAP Components.
The course is a hands-on class with extensive exercises. It is aimed at developers and is not a
management overview.
Course Prerequisites
· At least one year of practical experience with Java Programming is essential.
· No prior SAP Knowledge is required.

· Overview of Remote Function Call (RFC)
· RFC Clients and Servers, sRFC, tRFC, qRFC
· Business Object Repository and BAPIs
· ALE Intermediate Documents (IDocs)
