Let's have some fun with macros!
Start
Load in the contents of Excel Macros - Workshop File - Example Macros.txt
RemoveFormula
Select the "RemoveFormula" worksheet. Click on A1 - notice the formula?
While A1 is selected, run the "RemoveFormula" macro. Look at A1. Cool! The formula is gone!
DataGuideLink
Select the "PrettyBlank" worksheet.
Run the "DataGuideLink" macro. Cool!
Step into the code of "DataGuideLink". Change the link, the text of the link, or both.
Try it out!
GetNumber
Click on the "PrettyBlank" worksheet.
Run the "GetNumber" macro. Super cool!
Change the "GetNumber" macro so that it accepts numbers between 1 and 10.
CycleThrough
Run the "CycleThrough" macro in the "PrettyBlank" worksheet.
Whoaa, what happened there? Explore the code of the macro to find out.
bitsNpieces
Select the "lastRow1" worksheet.
Run the "Doesitwork" macro. Does that work? Yes? Good!
Select the "lastRow2" worksheet.
Run the "Doesitwork" macro. That doesn't work? Things are not bolded all the way down?
Modify the "Doesitwork" macro so that it will work no matter how many rows of data there are too bold.
Take a look at "bitsNpieces" for inspiration, or try Googling a solution.
