Introduction to different kinds of viruses and their anti-dots.

Unit-4: Number System

Non-positional and positional number systems. Binary, Octal, Decimal, Hexadecimal. Number CO2 7
Base Conversion, 1’s and 2’s complement. Binary Arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction,
multiplication, and division), Binary Codes: Weighted BCD, Gray Code.

Unit-5: Computer Networking:

Basics, Types, Topologies, devices employed in networking. Introduction to Internet and CO1 6
networking protocols (http, https, ftp, telnet, and DNS).

Unit-6: Logic Gates CO3 9

AND, OR, NOT, NAND, NOR, Exclusive-OR, and Exclusive-NOR. Implementation of Logic
Functions using Gates, NAND-NOR Implementations. Boolean algebra: Boolean postulates and
laws – De Morgan’s Theorem, Principle of Duality. Boolean Expression – Boolean function,
minimization of Boolean expression– Sum of Products (SOP), Product of Sums (POS), Min
Term, and Max Term.

Unit-7: Combinational Circuits CO3 7

Adders, Subtractors, Multiplexer/Demultiplexer, Encoder/Decoder, Parity Checker, Code


converters.

Unit-8: Introduction to Artificial Intelligence CO4 3

Types of AI, Key concepts in AI, Applications of AI.
