Task Details:
1. WEBSITE AUDIT:
2. Choose a real or hypothetical website (you can create a simple one if needed).
3. Identify 3 key strengths and 3 areas for improvement in terms of SEO. Example areas to
evaluate:
content quality
keyword usage
page loading speed
2. Keyword Research
• Select a topic related to the website (e.g., "Affordable fitness gear" or "Home office
setup tips").
• Use a keyword research tool to find 5 relevant keywords for the topic, noting:
⚬ Search volume.
⚬ Competition level.
⚬ Keyword intent (informational, transactional, navigational).
3. On-Page SEO Optimization
• Content Creation:
⚬ Write a short blog post (150–200 words) optimized for one of the keywords.
⚬ Ensure proper keyword usage:
■ Primary keyword in the title, opening paragraph, and subheading.
■ Secondary keyword naturally in the text.
• Metadata:
⚬ Create an SEO-friendly meta title and meta description for the blog post.
• Image Optimization:
⚬ Add an image to your blog post (or describe the image you’d use) and write an
appropriate ALT TEXT for it.
4. Technical SEO Suggestions
• List 3 common technical SEO issues that may affect your website
(e.g., broken links, poor mobile design, or lack of HTTPS).
• Provide solutions for each issue.
5. Off-Page SEO Plan
• Suggest 2 strategies for increasing the website’s authority, such as:
⚬ Building backlinks.
⚬ Leveraging social media platforms.
⚬ Collaborating with influencers or other websites.
6. Local SEO (Optional)
• If the website targets a local audience, suggest:
⚬ A Google My Business optimization strategy (e.g., including photos, reviews,
accurate hours).
⚬ 2 location-specific keywords for the website.
