The Confessional

 Enter the Confessional:

 Begin the Confession:

“Start by making the sign of the cross and saying, Bless me Father, for I
have sinned. It has been (how long?) since my last confession. (or - This is
my first confession.)”

3. The Confession
 Confess Your Sins:
State your sins specifically but without excessive detail, and mention how
often you committed them.

 Show Contrition:
Express sorrow for your sins, saying something like, "I am sorry for these and
all my sins".

 Listen to the Priest:

The priest will offer guidance, possibly read the Word of God, and will assign
a penance.

4. Penance and Absolution

 Pray the Act of Contrition:
Say the Act of Contrition, which is a prayer expressing your sorrow for your
sins.

My God, I am sorry for my sins with all my heart. In choosing to

do wrong and failing to do good, I have sinned against you whom
I should love above all things. I firmly intend, with your help, to
do penance, to sin no more, and to avoid whatever leads me to
sin. Our Savior Jesus Christ suffered and died for us. In his name,
my God, have mercy.

 Receive Absolution:
The priest will provide absolution, which is God's forgiveness of your sins
through the priest.

5. Departure and Penance

 Depart: Leave the confessional.
 Fulfill Your Penance: Complete the act of penance assigned by the
priest, such as saying specific prayers.

Finally, the priest grants absolution. You are dismissed with a phrase like, "Go
in peace," to which you respond, "Thanks be to God."
OUR FATHER // Ama Namin

"Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy Kingdom come,
Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen."

HAIL MARY // Aba Ginoong Maria

“Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst
women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of
God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, Amen.”

GLORY BE // Luwalhati sa Ama

“Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the
beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen."
