1 Software Available for Client PCs
Note
If you cannot use Print Station for Web, copy the following folder of Print Server to the client PC and use it
• Mac client
D:\PrtSrvPublic\download\mac
• Windows client
D:\PrtSrvPublic\download\win
Note
• For the latest information about supported operating systems for the printer driver and DropUtility, visit the
download services in our official website, and refer to the relevant page for your model.
• To display the version of the printer driver and DropUtility, click [About] in the screen where Job Properties are
displayed.
• Hereinafter, if "printer driver/printer drivers" are shown, they point to both printer driver (PS Printer Driver)
and PDF Printer Driver.

Note
Exit all the active applications before the installation.

Mac Client
The file name of the software is "DropUtility.dmg".
2. Double-click "DropUtility.pkg".
3. Click [Continue].
4. Click [Install].
5. Enter the administrator's name and the password, and click [Install Software].
The system starts installing the PPD.
Windows Client
The file names of software are as follows:
• PrintStation.exe (32-bit version)
• PrintStation(x64).exe (64-bit version)
• DropUtility.exe (32-bit version)
• DropUtility(x64).exe (64-bit version)
This section describes how to install PrintStation (64-bit version) on Windows 10, as an example.
Note
If the [Security Warning] dialog box appears, confirm the content and then click [Run].
3. Click [Next].
4. Click [Next].
Note
To change where to install, enter the folder name or click [Browse] to select the folder.
5. Click [Next].
Note
When the message to confirm whether to permit installing software appears, click [Yes].
Note
• Depending on the OS under which the client PC is running, some features are subject to certain limitations.
• To use Print Station, Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.2 or later must be installed.
Note
You can also start Print Station by clicking [Start] > [FUJIFILM {Print Server name}] > [{Print Server name} Print
Station {version}] on the Windows menu.
(Add)
Creates a Print Server to connect to.
(Edit)
Edits the selected Print Server to connect to in the same manner as that for [Add].
(Delete)
Deletes the selected destination Print Server.
(Export)
Save the settings of all connection destinations shown in the list and the content of [Configure] dialog
box.
(Import)
Load the settings of the connection destination and the content of [Configure] dialog box.
Note
To enable the changed setting, restart the [Select Print Station Server] dialog box.

[Connect]
Connects to the selected Print Server.
Note
If Print Server is not ready, "Unknown" appears in [Status] and connection is not available.
2. Click (Add).
3. Set up each item and then click [OK].
[Name]
Enter the name to identify Print Server.
Note
For [Edit], you cannot enter [Name].
[Address]
Enter the IP address or host name of Print Server to connect to.
[Port Number]
Enter the port number for connecting to Print Server.
Note
Regardless of the login level with which you are logged in to Print Station on Print Server, you can log in as an
administrator from multiple client PCs.
Note
If you are uncertain about the computer name of Print Server or the logical printer name, contact your network
administrator (the person in charge of setting Print Server).

Note
Installation of printer driver must be done immediately after you have rebooted the operating system.
Installing PPD

Setting Up a Printer
Note
You can also set up a printer using Bonjour.
For details of Bonjour, see "Setting Up Printer with Bonjour" (p.10).
1. Open the [System Preferences] window and click [Printers & Scanners].
2. Click [+].
4. Select [Line Printer Daemon - LPD] in [Protocol], and then enter the IP address of Print
Server in [Address] and the name of the logical printer for TCP/IP for Print Server to con-
nect to in [Queue].
7. Select [FF {Print Server name} {version} PS EN] from the printer software list, and click
[OK].
Note
Before you can use the printer, you must retrieve resources by referring to "3.1 Mac Client" (p.15). Otherwise,
you cannot view profiles registered with Print Server.
Note
• To use Bonjour, go to the link menu and confirm the [Settings] icon > [System Settings] > [Protocol Settings] >
[Bonjour] > [Start Up] is selected.
For details of Bonjour, see "4.4 [Protocol Settings]" in 'Server Settings'.
• Before setting up printers via Bonjour, install the PPD in advance.
• To use Bonjour, the client PC and Print Server need to be on the same subnet.
1. Open the [System Preferences] window and click [Printers & Scanners].
2. Click [+].
3. Click [Default].
The printer with Bonjour will be displayed.
6. Select [FF {Print Server name} {version} PS EN] from the printer software list, and click
[OK].

Setting Up a Printer
Note
• To install the printer driver, you must have signed in Windows as administrator account.
• To use printer drivers, Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.2 or later must be installed.
• For the latest information, refer to the "readme" file included with the printer driver.
• You can also set up a printer using Bonjour.
For details of Bonjour, see "Setting Up Printer with Bonjour" (p.13).
[Driver]
[Driver Name]
A name of printer driver is displayed.
[Add Driver]
Check the box to install the printer driver only, without adding a new printer.
[Printer]
[Printer Name]
By default, a name of printer driver is displayed.
Change it as necessary.
[Printer Port]
[Port Name]
Enter the port name that is shown on the Windows ports.
By default, it reflects the input of IP address and queue name, such as "IP address Queue name".
5. Click [OK].
1. Click Windows [Start] > [Windows System] > [Control Panel] > [Devices and Printers].
4. Select "Add a Bluetooth, wireless or network discoverable printer" and click [Next].
Note
• When you are signed in to the client PC with a user name registered with Print Server, the [User Authentica-
tion] dialog box appears. Refer to your network administrator for the user name and password and enter them
in the dialog box.
• If Print Server is not displayed in the list, click [The printer that I want isn't listed] and enter the Print Server
information.
6. Click [Next].
7. Click [Finish].

• To use Bonjour, go to the link menu and confirm the [Settings] icon > [System Settings] > [Protocol Settings] >
[Bonjour] > [Start Up] is selected.

• Before setting up printers via Bonjour, install the PPD in advance.
• To use Bonjour, the client PC and Print Server need to be on the same subnet.
• If "Bonjour Print Services (Windows)" has not been installed, download it from the Apple Inc. site and install it.
Note
You can also open Bonjour Printer Wizard by clicking [Start] > [Bonjour Print Services] > [Bonjour Printer Wiz-
ard] on the Windows menu.
3. Click [Finish].
Note
• For the latest supported OS, refer to the page for the printer you use from download service in our website.
• If a print error occurs on the PDF printer driver, spool data of all pages.
• To specify the number of copies in the PDF printer driver of the Windows client, use [Copies] in the [Print]
dialog box > [Properties]. The number of copies displayed in the [Print] dialog box will become invalid.
• With a pass-through method, PDF files are printed with no data conversion applied. This prevents degradation
of output image quality due to data conversion. The settings for the PDF file are also kept.

Note
If you are uncertain about the computer name of Print Server, the logical printer name, contact your network
administrator (the person in charge of setting Print Server).

Follow the following steps when printing from the client PC.
Step1
1. Set up job properties.
2. Send the jobs to Print Server and spool them.
Client PC
Job
Note
When you use only the printer driver functions, you do not need to send jobs from the client PC to Print Server.
1. Open the [System Preferences] window and click [Printers & Scanners].
Note
When you do not select Print Server in [Default printer], you can select it from the [File] menu of the application
> [Print] > [Printer].
In order for profiles registered with Print Server to be displayed in the printer driver, you need to re-
trieve resources.
(1) Exit any applications you are running.
(2) In [System Preferences] > [Printers & Scanners], select the Print Server.
PrinterUtility starts.
(5) Select a resource set and then click [Retrieve].
3. Select a printer and then close the [Printers & Scanners] window.
Note
The display of the dialog box may vary depending on the application you use.

6. If necessary, open Print Station in the client PC or Print Station for Web to check the jobs.
Note
Using the PDF printer driver makes the default value of [Processing Options] > [RIP Type] APPE. If you want to
use CPSI for processing, change the setting to CPSI from within the driver or the Print Server settings.
[Favorites]
This item is displayed on the [Basic] tab.
Allows you to save the print settings as favorites and select them from the pull-down menu.
Note
This item cannot be used with a Mac client.
Use the macOS feature for saving print option settings as a preset.
Also allows you to share the [Favorites] settings you set on Print Server.
The [Favorites] settings you set on Print Server are shared with the printer driver when:
• The printer driver is installed
• [Printer Properties] > [Default] > [Retrieve Server Settings] is clicked
• Your favorite setting has been loaded
• You click [Retrieve from Server] on the [Load/Save As] screen
Note
A set of the [Favorites] settings will be added if it has a new name, or overwritten if it has the same name as the
existing one.

y [Load]
Imports the print settings.
Note
Only the print settings that were saved with the same version of the printer driver can be imported.
(We do not guarantee operation with print settings from a different version, even if they have been imported
successfully.)
y [Save As]
Saves the selected print settings in the specified location.
y [Retrieve from Server]
The [Favorites] settings for Print Server are shared.
[Job Name]
The job name is given by default. To specify the job name, however, click this button, select
[Enter Job Name], and then enter a job name.

Note
• The PostScript functions are the same as those of general printers.
• PDF printer driver does not contain this tab.
Setting Resolution
Allows you to specify a resolution you want to notify to the application, at printing.
y Mac client
Select [Print Quality] in [Printer Features] in the setting items menu.
y Windows client
Set up resolution in the [PostScript] tab for the PS printer driver, [Print Quality] in the [Pref-
erences] tab for PDF printer driver.
1. Click Windows [Start] > [Windows System] > [Control Panel] to display [Devices and
Printers].
[Authentication Settings]
Select [Authenticate] in [Authentication Settings] to set the account to access the printer.

Note
Information obtained here will be used the next time client software is started in offline mode.
Step1 Select the file. Step1 Create the print settings file.
Step2 Set up the job properties. Step2 Drag and drop the file.
Client PC Client PC
To use DropUtility, a logical server whose [Gateway] is [Drop Utility Server] needs to be created
in the Print Server to be connected to.

The procedures for opening DropUtility differ between the Mac client and the Windows client.

4.1 Printing from DropUtility (Mac Client)
Registering Transmission
Register the Print Server to transmit to when starting DropUtility for the first time.
1. Double-click [Applications] > [FUJIFILM] > [Revoria Flow] > [FF DropUtility for {Print
Server name} {version}].
DropUtility starts.
Note
• The [FUJIFILM] folder is created at the time of the installation.
• You can also start DropUtility by dragging and dropping the file you want to print to the DropUtility application
icon.
2. Click [Settings].
3. Click [Add].
[Edit]
Edits the selected transmission in the same way as that of Add.
[Delete]
Deletes the selected transmission.
Note
If there is more than one logical printer for DropUtility, select one.
5. With the Print Server to which jobs are send selected, click [OK].
Printing Files
1. Double-click [Applications] > [FUJIFILM] > [Revoria Flow] > [FF DropUtility for {Print
Server name} {version}].
Note
• You can also start DropUtility by dragging and dropping the file you want to print to the DropUtility application
icon.
• Click [Settings] when changing the destination.
2. Click [Next].

4. Select the file you want to print and then click [OK].

6. Click [Print].
The file will be sent with the settings you set up.
To exit from DropUtility, click [Exit] in the [DropUtility – {Print Server name} {version}] dialog box. You
can exit also by pressing the <command> and <Q> key at the same time.
Registering Transmission
Register the Print Server to transmit to when starting DropUtility for the first time.
Note
• You can start DropUtility even by selecting [Start] > [FUJIFILM] > [FF DropUtility for {Print Server name}] in
Windows.
• You can also start DropUtility by dragging and dropping the file you want to print to the DropUtility icon on the
desktop.
[Edit]
Edits the selected transmission in the same way as that of Add.
[Delete]
Deletes the selected transmission.
4. Enter the name of Print Server in [Name], the IP address in [Server Address] and then
click [Settings].
Note
If there is more than one logical printer for DropUtility, select one.
5. With the Print Server to which jobs are send selected, click [Close].
Printing Files
Note
• You can start DropUtility even by selecting [Start] > [FUJIFILM] > [FF DropUtility for {Print Server name}] in
Windows.
• DropUtility also starts by dragging and dropping the file you want to print to the DropUtility icon on the desk-
top.
• Click [Transfer Settings] when changing the destination.
2. Click [Next].

4. Select the file you want to print and then click [OK].

6. Click [Print].
The file will be sent with the settings you set up.
To exit from DropUtility, click [Exit] in the [FF DropUtility for {Print Server name}] dialog box.

Display/Setting Item
[Job Name]
The job name is given by default. To specify the job name, however, click this button, select
[Enter Job Name], and then enter a job name.
[About]
Displays the version of DropUtility.
[Select File]
Select the file you want to print and the order of print, and then click [OK].
[Add]
Select the file you want to print and then click [Open].
To print multiple files at a time, select files with the <Ctrl> key (<command> key for Mac cli-
ent) pressed.
Note
• Dragging and dropping the file to the dialog box also allows you to add the file. (You can select multiple files at
one time.)
• When dragging and dropping files into DropUtility or printing multiple selected files, one file will send as one
job in the order specified. However, the following jobs may be combined with jobs received in Print Server.
‐ Jobs from other logical printers
‐ Jobs from other client PCs
‐ Jobs from another active DropUtility or jobs that are dragged and dropped into DropUtility afterwards
[Delete]
Deletes the selected files from the list.
[Up]
Transposes the selected file and the one located directly above.
[Down]
Transposes the selected file and the one located directly below.

[Use Settings in File or Server Settings]
Checking the box allows you to print the job with the value set up in the job template of the
destination (the logical printer you use). Check this when you do not need to set up job prop-
erties in the DropUtility screen.
Note
When a PostScript file is printed, the job name may be "DUSJob".
[Save Settings]
Saves the settings as the [DropUtility] screen default values.
Once you select [Save Settings] in the [Save Settings] pull-down menu (Mac client) or click
the [Save Settings] (Windows client), the settings cannot return to the original state even if
[Cancel] is clicked.
[Create Droplet] (Mac client)
Selecting [Create Droplet] in the pull-down menu allows you to create a droplet for which a
job property is registered on the desktop.
y Droplet
Dragging and dropping files to the created droplet allows you to print them using the regis-
tered print settings such as job properties. DropUtility exits automatically after the job is
sent to Print Server.
Enter the file name in the displayed screen and then click [Save].
Note
To change the settings of a droplet, modify the settings in the DropUtility screen and then create a droplet again.
Note
• The file name extension depends on the combination of Print Server and its version.
• To change the settings of a droplet, modify the settings in the DropUtility screen and then create a droplet again.
Droplet
Dragging and dropping files to the created droplet allows you to print them using the regis-
tered print settings such as job properties. DropUtility exits automatically after the job is
sent to Print Server.
Clicking displays the following items:
y [Print Without Displaying Settings Window]
Checking the box allows you to print the job without the DropUtility screen displayed when
the job is dragged and dropped to the droplet.
y [Print Without Displaying File Window]
Checking the box allows you to print files without displaying the dialog box that asks you to
select the order of printing files when the files are dragged and dropped to the droplet.
[Output to File]
Checking the box allows you to save the file as a job instead of printing it.
In the dialog box displayed by clicking [Print], set up the location to save the file and the file
name. The file extension is ".jbf".
[Print Next Files with Same Settings] (Windows Client)
Appears when multiple files are selected for printing.
Checking the box allows you to send all the selected files to Print Server with the settings
you set up to the top file. Only one dialog box appears even when you have selected more
than one file.
Unchecking the box allows you to display as many dialog boxes as the files you send. The
setting items differ depending on each file type.
Note
[File] shows the file name you are setting up and [Type] shows the file type.
[Print]
Send the jobs to Print Server for printing.

5 Print Station for Web
This section describes Print Station for Web, which allows you to use a part of the functions of
Print Station via a browser on your client PC.
Note
To use Print Station for Web, the client PC and Print Server must be connected via TCP/IP.
Starting Method
This section describes how to start Print Station for Web using Windows client, as an example.
Starting
Note
• Enter "http://192.0.2.1/index.html" for example.
• You can also start Print Station for Web by entering "Print Server IP Address" in the address bar.
Main Window
Refer

[Log In]
Allows you to log in to Print Server.
(Help)
Clicking [About] in the menu displays the version of Print Server being connected to.
[Log In]
Note
• For the default user name, see "2.2 Starting and Exiting Print Server" in 'Basic Operations'.
• While logging in, you can see "user name (login level)" at the left of the link menu.
• The available functions or menu items differs depending on each authentication level.
• For details, see "2.4 Link Menu" in 'Basic Operations'.
[Log Out]
Note
• Downloading can be done irrespective of the login status.
• When downloading client software, configure the web browser not to use the proxy. Otherwise, older version
of software may be downloaded.

Swatch Library
A swatch library we provide you for metallic colors only.
Decompress the downloaded file, and import the swatch library into your Illustrator, Photo-
shop, or InDesign.

Note
Some of features are not available depending on the login level.
(1) Log in
Tap in the upper left of the menu screen, enter in [Account] (the user name registered with
Print Station) and [Password], and then tap [Log In].
Note
While you are logged in, your user name is displayed in the upper left of the control screen.

(2) Menu
Tapping on the left side of the menu screen displays the following menus. Tapping it switch-
es between feature screens.
[Refresh]
Tap this button to refresh the screen.
[Auto Refresh]
When this option is turned to on, display is refreshed approximately every 30 seconds.
Note
This option is effective on the [Status] screen, and the [Job Manager] > [Processing] screen.
[Status]
You can switch between features by using the menu that appears when you tap [v] at the top of
the screen.
[Server]
You can view the status and version of Print Server being connected to, and the usage of
HDD/SSD or HDD.
The displayed items vary depending on the configuration of the storage device.

[Error Information]
Displays the error information of the printer you are connecting to.
[Job Manager]
Displayed items are the same as those in [Job Manager] on Print Station. You can view the status
of jobs sent to Print Server, as well as preview, print and delete jobs saved in Print Server.
Also, you can view and print job history.
[Processing]/[Held]/[Completed]/[Error]
When you select [Processing], [Held], [Completed], or [Error] from the menu that appears
when you tap [v] at the top of the screen, the corresponding job list appears.
Note
• When you log in as a user, you are allowed to operate only jobs you own.
• The content of the items displayed in the job list is the same as those in Print Station.
For details, see the appropriate section in "2.6 [Job Manager]" in 'Basic Operations'.
Operation Buttons
Operation buttons are displayed to the right of the job list.
Available buttons vary depending on the job status as follows.

[Processing] [Preview], [Cancel], [Delete], [Promote], [Print Now]
[Held] [Preview], [Delete RIP Data], [Delete], [Print], [Proof Print], [Resume Printing], [Print Now]

[Error] [Preview], [Delete RIP Data], [Delete], [Print], [Proof Print], [Resume Printing], [Print Now]
Check the box of the job you want to operate to select it, and then tap the desired operation
button.
Except for [Preview], the functions of operation buttons are the same as those displayed in
the job menu in Print Station.

[Job History]
If you are logged in as administrator, this option can be selected from the menu that appears
when you tap [v] at the top of the screen.
You are allowed to [Display], [Save], and [Print] the job history when you are logged in as
administrator.
Note
To save job histories, you need to make the settings in Print Station.
For details of job history, see "3.5 Job History" in 'Basic Operations'.
Note
The settings described here can be accessed only when you are logged in as an administrator or an operator.
[Server Settings]
Allows you to change [Computer Name] or [Server Name]. Tap [Save] to save the settings.

[Printer Settings]
Allows you to change the printer network settings. Tap [Save] to save the settings.

[Job Handling]
Tapping [Start] allows you to pause or resume print services.

[Print Server]
Tapping [Start] allows you to [Reboot Server] or [Shut Down Server].
Restarting Print Server does not connect to the Print Server automatically. To connect to
Print Server, perform the steps in " Displaying Control Screens" (p.37).

[Logical Printer]
Allows you to set up logical printers.

Note
• Irrespective of whether you are working on the printer control panel, [Register] and [Delete] may not function
while the printer is running.
• When [Register] or [Delete] do not function, press the <Power/Power Saver> button on the printer unit to
switch to Power Saver mode, and then perform [Register] or [Delete].

[Register]/[Delete]
Select [Register] to enable control from the printer, or [Delete] to disable.
[Printer IP Address]
Enter the IP address of the printer.
[Server IP Address]
Enter the IP address of Print Server.
[Administrator ID]
Enter an ID of the printer administrator.
Note
• The default is "11111".
• On the printer control panel, log in to the administrator mode, set > [Device] > [Authentication/Account-
ing] > [Authentication/Security Settings] > [Administrator Settings] > [System Administrator ID].
[Password]
Enter a password of the printer administrator ID.
Note
• The default is "x-admin".
• On the printer control panel, log in to the administrator mode, set > [Device] > [Authentication/Account-
ing] > [Authentication/Security Settings] > [Administrator Settings] > [System Administrator Password].
[Login Mode]
Allows you to auto log in with the specified user.
[Firewall]
You can set up [File and Printer Sharing] for the Print Server firewall.
