Research Methodology:
Research Design
This study will utilize a mixed-methods approach, incorporating both Likert scale surveys and semi-
structured interviews.
Subjects of the Study
The stem students of Malvar Senior High School will be the respondents of the study. The researcher
will adopt the total population of the respondents.
Data Gathering Instrument
The survey will be designed to gather quantitative data on the coping mechanisms used by senior high
school [Link] will rate the frequency and effectiveness of various coping strategies on a
scale 1-10Questions will cover coping mechanisms such as problem-solving, social support seeking,
avoidance, and emotion-focused [Link] survey will also collect demographic information and
academic performance indicators (e.g., GPA, exam score.
Data Gathering Procedure
Semi-structured interviews will be conducted with a subset of participants to gain deeper insights into
their coping experiences and academic [Link] questions will explore individual coping
strategies, perceived stressors, challenges faced in academics, and strategies for academic success.
Statistical Treatment of Data
The following statistical tools will be utilized in the study. Frequency and percentage. This is use in the
study to determine the distribution of the respondents according to the profile.
To determine this type of mean, multiply each value by the appropriate weight. Then, add all most of
the products and divide the total by the weights. When various observations have a variety of value or
significance, it is helpful.
A measure of the strength and direction of a linear relationship between two variables is known as
Pearson’s r. A perfect positive linear relationship is represented by a value of 1, a perfect negative linear
relationship by a value of -1, and no linear relationship by a value of 0. Investigating correlations
between variables is a popular application of it in research.
