NOTE:
This procedure contains some variation in the illustrations depending on the vehicle specification, but the
essential information is always correct.
This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.
1. Remove the front compartment right trim panel.
Refer to: Front Compartment Right Trim Panel (501-02 Front End Body Panels, Removal and Installation).
2.
WARNING:
Make sure that the hood is sufficiently supported before the gas strut is disconnected.
Release the strut.
3.
Release the 5 clips.
Remove small trim panel with 2 safety clips.
4.
Release the 3 clips.
Remove the trim panel.
5.
Remove the 10 screws.
Remove the clip.
6. Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: Jacking and Lifting (100-02 Jacking and Lifting, Description and Operation).

NOTE:
Repeat the step for the other side.
Remove the 3 bolts.
Remove the 2 clips.
Release the front section of the wheel arch liner.
8.
NOTE:
Right side only.
Disconnect the 3 electrical connectors.
Release the clip.
Release the electrical connector.
9.
CAUTION:
Clamp the hoses to minimize fluid loss.
NOTE:
Right side only.
Disconnect the 2 washer jet hoses.
10.
Remove the 3 screws.
11.
NOTE:
Repeat the step for the other side.
Remove the 2 bolts.
Remove the screw.
12.
CAUTION:
Make sure that the vehicle paintwork is protected.
NOTE:
Take extra care when releasing the clips.
Remove the front bumper.
13.
NOTE:
Only do the following step(s) if a new component is to be installed.
Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.
Remove the 2 screws.
Release the 2 pedestrian protection system pressure sensors.
14.
Release the 4 clips.
Remove the pedestrian protection system bracket.
15.
Disconnect the 4 electrical connectors.
Release the 10 clips.
Release the front bumper harness on the left side.
16.
Disconnect the 4 electrical connectors.
Release the 10 clips.
Release the front bumper harness on the right side.
17.
Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.
Release the 5 clips.
Remove the front bumper harness.
18.
NOTE:
Repeat the step for the other side.
Take extra care when releasing the clips.
Remove the washer jet cover.
19.
Remove the 2 screws.
Release the clip.
Remove the right side washer jet.
20.
Remove the 2 screws.
Release the left side washer jet.
21.
Release the washer jet hose from the clips.
Remove the washer hose with the washer jet.

NOTE:
Repeat the step for the other side.
Remove the 3 screws.
Remove the front fog lamp.
23.
Remove the 4 screws.
Remove the Adaptive Speed Control Module (ASCM).

NOTE:
Take extra care when releasing the clips.
Remove the 4 parking aid sensors.
Remove the 2 park assist sensors.
25.
CAUTION:
Take extra care not to damage the clips.
NOTE:
Note the orientation of the component prior to removal.
Remove the front proximity camera.

NOTE:
Take extra care when releasing the clips.
Remove the 9 screws.
Release the 6 clips.
Remove the radiator grille support.
27.
Release the 6 clips.
Remove the radiator grille.
28.
Remove the 6 screws.
Release the 2 clips.
Remove the radiator grille upper moulding.

NOTE:
Repeat the step for the other side.
Remove the 6 screws.
Remove the outer bracket.
30.
NOTE:
Repeat the step for the other side.
Remove the 3 screws.
Release the 2 clips.
Remove the front bumper air intake.
31.
Remove the 8 push pins.
Remove the air deflector.
INSTALLATION
1.
Install the air deflectors.
Install the 8 push pins.
2.
NOTE:
Make sure that all the clips are correctly installed.
Install the front bumper air intakes.
Install and tighten the 6 screws.
3.
Install the 2 outer brackets.
Install and tighten the 12 screws.
4.
NOTE:
Make sure that all the clips are correctly installed.
Install the radiator grille upper moulding.
Install and tighten the 6 screws.
5.
NOTE:
Make sure that all the clips are correctly installed.
Install the radiator grille.

NOTE:
Make sure that all the clips are correctly installed.
Install the radiator grille support.
Install and tighten the 9 screws.
7.
CAUTION:
Make sure that the component is correctly located on the locating dowels.
Install the front proximity camera.
8.
NOTE:
Make sure that all the clips are correctly installed.
Install the 4 parking aid sensors.
Install the 2 park assist sensors.
9.
Install the ASCM.
Install and tighten the 4 screws.
10.
Install the front fog lamps.
Install and tighten the 6 screws.
Torque: 2Nm
11.
NOTE:
Make sure that all the clips are correctly installed.
Install the washer hose with the washer jet on the left side.
Install the right side washer jet.
Install and tighten the 4 screws.
Torque: 1.5Nm
Install the washer jet covers.
12.
NOTE:
Make sure that the clips are installed in the correct orientation.
Install the front bumper harness.
Connect the 10 electrical connectors.
13.
CAUTION:
Four audible clicks are heard when the clips are fully located.
Install the pedestrian protection system bracket.
Install the 2 pedestrian protection system pressure sensors.
Install and tighten the 2 screws.
Torque: 5Nm
Connect the 2 electrical connectors.
14.
CAUTION:
Make sure that the vehicle paintwork is protected.
Two audible clicks are heard when the clips are fully located.
With assistance, install the front bumper.
Install and tighten the 4 outside bolts.
Torque: 10Nm
Install and tighten the 2 screws.
15. Install the front bumper lower 3 screws.

NOTE:
Right side only.
Connect the 2 washer jet hoses.
17.
NOTE:
Right side only.
Make sure that all the clips are correctly installed.
Connect the 3 electrical connectors.
18.
Install the front section of the wheel arch liners on both sides.
Install the 4 clips.
Install and tighten the 6 bolts.
19. Lower the vehicle.
20.
Install and tighten the front bumper upper 10 screws.
Torque: 1.5Nm
Install the clip.
21.
NOTE:
Make sure that all the clips are correctly installed.
Install the front compartment left trim panel.
Install the small trim panel.
Install the strut.
22. Install the front compartment right trim panel.
