Working Methodology
Brickbat:
Providing & laying well soaked brick bat coba in cement mortar 1:4 to proper level and slope as per instructions. Insert 20mm
pvc pipe through side sleeve as a relief pipe for any entrapped [Link] up the joints and lay IPS with cement mortar 1:4
mixed and finished rough with neat cement on top so as to receive tiles / stones. Air cure the same for 24 hours and damp
cure for minimum 7 days. All mortar to be admixed with WP chemical Viatalia Neo. After completion of brick bat coba
waterproofing works entire surface shall be tested by ponding of water for leakage/dampness & such area shall be marked
and entire Waterproofing treatment shall be redone.

Surface Preparation:
Minor cleaning work, removal of loose concrete and filling cracks with polymer modified mortar using SmartCare SRPInjection
Grouting wherever required grouting the joints through PVC injection nozzles fixed @ 1 M c/c or less, using cement slurry
grout with SmartCare Injection grout added @ 250 gm per bag of cement to full saturation etc. [Link] of all
concrete defects+ Opening the joints/cracks such as cold joint, construction joints, cracks, by forming V/U shape groove with
approx. 5 mm x 5 mm size thereafter providing and applying polymer SmartCare Repair Polymer as a slurry application and
thereafter sealing the groove with polymer modified mortar .

Primer, PU & Geotextile Membrane-


Providing and applying two componant water base epoxy primer AP SC PU Primer on bare slab @ 50 % water dilution. Primer
consumption 100-150 gm / [Link] Supplying and applying High build elastomeric waterproofing coating based on pure,
hydrophobic polyurethane, cold applied of spray / brush applied, membrane with an elongation of 600 % and tensile strength
of 3- 4 N/mm2 as per ASTM D 412, crack bridging ability of 3mm as per ASTM C1305, no leakage upto 5 bars of water
pressure as per DIN 1048, shore A Hardness of min. 50 as per ASTM D 2240. The system includes final base preparation,
water based primer and applying SmartCare PU Magnum US 1k or approved equivalent in two coats @1.8 kg per sqm
consumption, etc. complete as per Manufacturere specifications. ( Thikness 1.2mm) WP coat to extend up to 300mm on
vertical surfaces at the termination walls and for the planters envelop to be created on the walls of planters.
After application, the membrane should be air cured for atleast 7 days.
The membrane after curing should be covered with 150 gsm non-woven geotextile. Post the geotextile provide 75 mm thick
protection screed of 1:4 mortar and vertical protection plaster to be done

Bore Packing:
All the borehole gaps between concrete surface and pvc pipe of various dia upto the neck level shall be filled with non-shrink
free flow grout - SmartCare GP Grout or approved equivalent having dual shrinkage compensation property. Before the bore
packing, surface of the pvc pipe and concrete surface will be made rough and sand will be sprinkled with polymer bonding
agent. Apply 3 coats of PU Magnum with 50 GSM non-woven fabric sandwiched between 1st and 2nd coat. The treatment
needs to be done up to the top layer of the pipe and 100mm beyond periphary
Suface Preperation-
The cleaning and preparation of the substrate to which the system is applied must be carried out thoroughly to leave a sound
base for the application. Surface Cleaning involves removing loose material, laitance by wire brush, scrapper, treating cracks,
air jetting etc. Surface defects exposed during surface preparation such as shrinkage cracks, minor honey combing, wider
patches if any, joint treatment, coving shall be treated with approved repair mortar. If any honey combed surface is found,
the same should be properly treated by chipping off loose concrete upto the sound substrate with the help of grinder. Build
up the required thickness with approved repair mortar as per the grade of parent conrete. All construction joints must be
raked and treated with approved repair mortar.

Waterproofing Coating:
Immediately after completing above activity, water proofing coating as per details mentioned below to be commenced in 1
working day.
Providing and applying acrylic reinforced cementitious, flexible waterproof coating of Dampblock 2k, a two component
reactive polymer composite to be mixed properly with mechanical stirrer in clean bucket/vessel and applied in two coats on
to RCC surface, slab horizontal & vertical surface as per manufacturer specification. SmartCare Damp Block 2K , having 100 %
elongation as per ASTM D412, resisting 5 bars hyrostatic pressure as per DIN 1048, reduction to rapid chloride shall be 70 as
per ASTM C 1202, crack bridging upto 1.2mm as per ASTM 4548.5. applying SmartCare Damp Block 2K in two coats 1.5 kg /
sqmt consumption
For Toilet walls: Water proofing coating shall extend on walls as follows
- On shower wall area without ledge wall - To extend in height 2000mm above FFL
- On opposite shower wall, side shower wall , chased wall area - To extend upto 900mm above FFL
- On unchased walls - To extend 450mm from FFL
- While applying the 2nd coat, the entire vertical surface should be sprinkled with quartz sand for mechanical bonding of tiles
• For Toilets slabs, water proofing to extend 300mm outside toilet at door sill and 150mm on either side of door sill as per
instruction of EIC from outside of the wall. Create a bund of micro-concrete of side of door opening and depth of 25 mm to
break the water flow from toilet, as per standard detail of KL.

Brickbat: (Only for Strip Sunk Area)


Providing & laying well soaked brick bat coba in cement mortar 1:4 to proper level and slope as per instructions and gap
between 2 brick bats shall be maximum 20 mm. Insert 20mm pvc pipe through side sleeve as a relief pipe for any entrapped
water.
Fill up the joints and lay IPS with cement mortar 1:4 mixed and finished rough with neat cement on top so as to receive tiles /
stones. Air cure the same for 24 hours and damp cure for minimum 7 days. All mortar to be admixed with WP chemical
Viatlai Neo 200 ml / bag. After completion of brick bat coba waterproofing works entire surface shall be tested by ponding of
water for leakage/dampness & such area shall be marked and entire Waterproofing treatment shall be redone.

application-
The First part consist of all surface area should cleaned up to visible of hair cracks / aggregate texture. Cleaning of RCC
member should be done by hacking tool, wire brush, wire grinder & air blower etc. Open cracks & construction joints should
be sealed with cement mortar with BIS approved waterproofing additive as per BIS 2645. All clean & treated area should
tested for water tighness by flooding water. All wet spots & water leakage area should mark for treatment.
Second part consist of Providing and laying water proofing treatment in sunken portion of WCs, bathroom, kitchen etc., by
applying flexible, two component, acrylic cementitious coating, at minimum consumption of 2.2 kg per sqm for 2 coats so as
to achieve minimum thickness of 1mm, as per manufacturer's specifications and installed by manufacturer's approved
applicators. This waterproof coating shall be capable of bonding to both porous and non porous substrate in following
method.
First step shall be supplying and installing of two component flexible cementitious coating, to clean surfaces for better
adhesion @ 1.1 kg/sqm with brush, roller or trowel and ensuring that all surfaces of the concrete surface is covered. Then
wait for 2 hours for it to dry. Secomd step shall be supplying and installing second coat of 2 component flexible acrylic
cementitious coating at the rate of 1.1 kg/m2 per coat by brush, roller or trowel. Leaving it to cure for at least 10-12 hours.
Waterproof coating shall have following minimum properties : (a) Elongation >200% +-40%(ASTM D412); (b) Tensile Strength
> 1.0 N/sqmm (ASTM D412); (c) Crack bridging >2mm (ASTM C836); (d) Adhesion to concrete surface : >1.3 MPa (ASTM
D4541) (product name:- smartcare ultra block 2K)..Laying an average 75 mm thick M20 grade of screed with required slope
on floor horizantal surface. and 12 mm plaster on wall and thereafter application of Apcorep Coal tar epoxy as the protection
coating

membrane should be air cured for atleast 7 days.
The membrane after curing should be covered with 150 gsm non-woven geotextile. Screed and plaster to be done as a
protection

Membrane Application
Supplying and installing of 1.5 mm composite thick pre-applied SmartCare HDPE 80 membrane having puncture resistance of
1000 N as per ASTM D 412, tensile strength of >25 Mpa as per ASTM D 412, and hydrostatic head resistance not less than
70m water head as per ASTM D 5385 & elongation of 500% as per ASTM D 412, peel adhesion to concrete of 1200 N/m as per
ASTM D903. The pre-applied, fully bonded HDPE sheet membrane shall be loosely laid on PCC and gets bonded to the
underneath of the poured concrete of base/ raft slab and confined retaining wall. The fully bonded HDPE sheet membrane
shall consist of a high performance PE film with pressure sensitive adhesive, which bonds fully to the poured concrete of base
slab/confined retaining wall. The membrane shall have minimum of 75mm side laps and end laps which shall be sealed with
double sided adhehive tape.,etc complete as per manufactures specification and instructions. Note- For confined areas,
Dummy wall /ply shutter/ plain firm surface for hdpe installation on vertical surface to be provided by client)

RAFT Waterproofing with Weldable HDPE 80 1.5 mm comp thk


Surface Preparation:-

Membrane Application
Supplying and installing of 1.5mm Comp thick pre-applied weldableAP SC HDPE membrane having puncture resistance of
1000N/m as per ASTM E 154), tensile strength of 25 Mpa as per ASTM D 412, and hydrostatic head resistance 71m water
head as per ASTM D 5385 & elongation of 500% as per ASTM D 412, peel adhesion to concrete of min 1500 N/m as per ASTM
D 903, The pre-applied, fully bonded and weldable HDPE sheet membrane shall be loosely laid on PCC and gets bonded to the
underneath of the poured concrete of base/ raft slab and confined retaining wall. The fully bonded HDPE sheet membrane
shall consist of a h self adhesive polymer layer and unique particulate layer with pressure sensitive adhesive, which bonds
fully to the poured concrete of base slab/confined retaining wall. The membrane shall have minimum of 75mm side laps and
end laps which shall be sealed by welding.,etc complete as per manufactures specification and instructions.

Unconfined RETAINING WALL WP with Post Applied Self Adhesive Membrane with HDPE Lining
Sealing of Tie Rod Holes: -
Sealing the Tie Rod Holes with crystalline Polymer modified mortar, providing and applying PU Based membrane embeded
with 150mm x 150mm Fabric etc. completeon the tie road area positive side only as per the manufacturer's specifications

Injection Grouting wherever required


grouting the joints through PVC injection nozzles fixed @ 1 M c/c or less, using cement slurry grout with SmartCare Injection

Providing and applying one coat of Bituminous primer with a consumption of 4 to 6 Sqm/ Litre
by brush application, thereafter providing and applying SmartCare Self adhisive SBS membrane with HDPE lining SBS modified
bituminous self adhesive 1.5 mm thick self adhesive membrane over the primed surface with 75mm side selvedge overlap

Termination: Supplying and applying aluminium strip flashing with fasteners at the top and sealing the joints with SmartCare
Hybrid PU Sealant or approved equivalent.
Providing & laying high density polyethylene (HDPE) dimpled protection and drainage sheet; over the waterproofing
membrane on the retaining walls. The protection and drainage sheet shall consist of dimpled HDPE sheet with fused on
hydrophilic polypropylene geotextile; confirming to EN 13252, etc. complete as per manufacturer specifications.

Water Bar If Required


Providing and laying swellable Water Stops at starter and all construction joints for preventing water migration at
construction joints below grade. Construction Joint should be swellable type of minimum 20mm X 5mm in red colour and
shall have resistance to deuteriation from salt water and shall be placed at all vertical & horizontal construction joints
