Introduction: :-

TECHNICAL DATA SHEET In continuous sheet / coil galvanizing processes a good


adhesion coating with appropriate alloy layer is
mandatory. To achieve it the steel entering in the
molten zinc bath should be free from any surface oxide.
HODGA FLUX- CCG Operational Activity :-

HODGA Flux -CCG is a powder or liquid flux specially


For continues Line / formulated to minimize fuming problem and to produce a
Coil / Cable Tape Flux chemically active and thermally stable foam blanket on
Galvanizing the top of the molten zinc bath during galvanizing. Its
formulation suits the requirements of new generation
high speed galvanizing lines without any carryover
problems. The ingredients incorporated in the HODGA
Flux –CCG include inorganic chemicals such as zinc
ammonium chloride in a proper ratio as per individual
customer’s needs along with special proprietary
wetting, foaming /anti-foaming and viscosity reducing
agents and other additives.

The chemically active flux blanket on the top of the


zinc bath has a unique property to effectively remove
interfering impurities (oxides, sulphate, chloride,
sulphide etc.) from the surface of the sheets/coils to
enable trouble free iron - zinc reaction as well as to
prevent re-oxidation of activated surfaces. Apart from
the removing impurities from the surface of the sheets
/ coil, the flux blanket also has the ability to keep
the portion of the surface of the zinc bath through
which the sheet enters in to the molten zinc bath ,
free from zinc oxide . Due to the addition of specific
AMBICA additives in HODGA Flux -CCG formulation, the flux
carry over in the zinc bath is greatly reduced.
