Summary of Mount Kenya National Park
Mount Kenya National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Kenya’s most iconic
protected areas. Established in 1949, the park surrounds Mount Kenya, the second-highest
mountain in Africa, which rises to 5,199 meters (17,057 ft) at its highest peak, Batian.

It is Located in central Kenya, approximately 150 km northeast of Nairobi and it Covers an area
of 715 square kilometers, with additional forest reserve areas around it.
