A person I would like to talk about is my neighbor, Mr. Nam. He moved into our community
about six months ago when he bought a house near mine. At first, most people didn’t know him
very well, but soon he became very popular because of his friendly personality.
I got to know him because he often joins in neighborhood activities, like cleaning the street and
planting trees. He is very approachable and always willing to help others. For example, when one
of my neighbors was sick, he organized people to cook meals and bring them to her family. He
also shared some useful tips about health and exercise because he used to work as a physical
education teacher. On weekends, he even teaches kids in the neighborhood how to play football
for free, which makes both the children and their parents really happy.
I feel very impressed by him because he has brought a positive spirit to our community. Thanks
to his energy, people here have become more connected and cooperative. Before he came,
everyone mostly focused on their own life, but now we often work together to make the area
cleaner and friendlier. Personally, I feel lucky to have such a kind and responsible neighbor. He
has motivated me to take part in community work more actively, and I also learned from him that
small actions can create a big difference.
Q2: What skills do you think young people need to learn in order to live independently?
I believe young people need to master several important skills to live on their own successfully.
The first one is cooking because preparing meals is essential for health and saving money. For
instance, if students only eat fast food outside, it will cost a lot and affect their health in the long
run. Another skill is money management, which helps them spend wisely and avoid financial
problems. For example, keeping a monthly budget can prevent them from running out of money
before the end of the month.
Q3: How can parents and teachers help young people to live independently?
I think both parents and teachers have important roles in supporting young people to become
independent. Parents can give children small responsibilities at home, such as cleaning their own
room or managing pocket money. This teaches them responsibility and basic life skills from an
early age. Teachers can encourage independence in study by assigning group projects or practical
tasks. For example, when students work on a project, they learn to organize time and solve
problems by themselves.
Describe a time you had to do something and had a positive result
One challenge I faced was during my midterm exams last year. I had so much to study in a short
amount of time. I was really worried about my grades, so l stayed up late almost every night and
even pulled an all-nighter before one of the exams.
Because of that, I felt very drained the next day. I couldn't focus, and I was so tired that I didn't
remember much of what I had studied. I also felt a bit blue because I thought all my hard work
might not help if I was too tired to think clearly.
To solve this problem, I decided to change the way I studied. I read some books and watched
videos to gain a deeper insight into how to study in a healthy and effective way. I learned that
sitting and studying for hours without breaks can do more harm than good.
So, I made a schedulf ere I studied for 45 minutes, then took a short break to walk, stretch, or
drink some water. I also went to bed earlier. After doing this for a few days, l started to feel more
invigorated and focused.
In the end, this method helped me a lot. I got better results in my exams, and I felt more
confident. I was really content with how things turned out.
In the future, I will keep using this balanced study method. I want to take care of both my mind
and body so I can keep improving and live a better life.
How can people overcome personal challenges and achieve their goals?
In my opinion, there are some good ways to deal with personal problems and succeed in life.
First, staying positive is very important. People who believe in themselves and keep
trying usually do better. For example, a student who fails an exam but doesn’t give up
can improve by studying harder next time.
Second, asking for help from others can make a big difference. For instance, talking to a
friend or mentor can give new ideas or emotional support to solve a problem.
Also, making a clear plan and setting small goals helps people stay focused and
motivated.
Describe an occasion when you got lost.
One time I got lost was when I had just moved to the city to start university. It was my very
first week here, and I needed to find my way to the university campus for orientation day. At
that time, I wasn’t familiar with the streets or the bus system, so everything felt a bit
confusing.
I remember leaving my new apartment in the morning and taking a bus that I thought was
going to the university. However, after about 20 minutes, I realized the bus was going in the
opposite direction. I got off in a completely strange area where I didn’t know anyone, and I
started to feel worried because I didn’t want to be late for such an important day.
At first, I tried to use Google Maps on my phone, but the signal was weak and the map didn’t
load properly. Finally, I decided to ask a local shop owner for directions. She was very kind
and explained clearly how to take another bus that would bring me to the university. Thanks
to her, I managed to arrive, though a bit late and tired.
Looking back, it was a stressful but memorable experience. It taught me that moving to a
new city always takes time to adapt, and it also reminded me of the importance of asking for
help instead of panicking. Now, after living here for a while, I know the way to the university
very well, but that first day will always stay in my memory.
Q3: With mobile phones and these electronic products with navigation, is it easy for people
to get lost?
I think with modern technology, it is much easier for people to avoid getting lost. Navigation
apps like Google Maps show directions very clearly. For example, you can see the exact distance
and time to your destination. However, technology is not always perfect, and sometimes the
signal is weak or the map is not updated. In those situations, people can still lose their way if
they only rely on their phones
Describe a time when someone apologized to you
Last year, one of my close friends made a mistake that really affected me a lot. We were working
together on a school project, and we had agreed to meet one afternoon to finish our presentation.
However, he completely forgot about the meeting because he was too busy playing video games.
He didn’t check his phone or reply to any of my messages. Because of this, I had to do most of
the work alone, and I was very upset. I even waited for hours and skipped my other homework.
At that time, I felt he was irresponsible and didn’t care about me, so I lost my temper and didn’t
talk to him for two days.
When he realized what he had done, he felt really guilty and full of remorse. He knew it was all
his fault, so he owned up to his mistake and sent me a long message with a heartfelt apology. He
also met me the next day and apologized again in person. To make amends, he helped me finish
another assignment that week, and he even bought me my favorite snacks to say sorry in a more
thoughtful way.
From this experience, I learned that true friendship is not about never making mistakes, but about
being brave enough to admit them and make things right. His apology really showed me that he
valued our friendship, and it also taught me that forgiving someone can sometimes make the
relationship even stronger.
2. Do you think people should apologize for every mistake that they make?
I don’t think people need to apologize for every small mistake.
Sometimes, tiny mistakes like forgetting to close a door can be solved easily.
In those cases, a smile or a quick correction is enough.
But when the mistake really hurts others, people should definitely apologize.
It shows responsibility and helps to rebuild trust between people.
2. Is it necessary for people to apologize even when something wasn’t their fault?
Sometimes people apologize even if the problem is not their fault. Firstly, doing this can calm the other
person and make the situation less tense, which helps to keep a good relationship. For example, in the
workplace, someone may say sorry just to avoid an argument and keep teamwork going well. Secondly,
apologizing in this way can show empathy and understanding. For instance, you can say you are sorry
that something bad happened, even if you were not the one who caused it, just to show that you care
about their feelings.
One plan I made that is not related to work or study is learning how to swim. I’ve always wanted
to learn this skill, but I never had the chance when I was younger. Swimming is not only fun, but
also a very important life skill. It helps people stay healthy, reduce stress, and can even save lives
in emergencies. That’s why I made this plan for myself.
I made this plan last summer when I went to the beach with my family. Everyone was swimming
and enjoying the water, but I couldn’t join them because I don’t know how to swim. I felt a little
sad. After that trip, I told myself that I wanted to learn before the next summer.
The first thing I need to do is to find a swimming class near my house. I also need to buy a
swimsuit. I will probably join a beginner class and take lessons twice a week. I want to go with a
friend so I don’t feel nervous, and it will also be more fun to learn together.
If this plan is successful, I think I will feel very happy and proud of myself. I’ll be more
confident when I go to the pool or the beach, and I won’t be afraid of water anymore. It will also
be good for my health, and I can even swim as a way to relax after school or during weekends. I
believe this plan is not only useful but also enjoyable, so I’m really looking forward to making it
happen.
First of all, I believe around 10 to 12 years old is a good age because at this time they are
becoming more mature and can handle small tasks on their own. For example, they can
plan their study schedule, like deciding when to do homework and when to play.
Secondly, learning to plan early helps them prepare for the future. If they know how to
organize their time, they will feel more confident and independent as teenagers and
adults. For instance, a child who plans their daily activities may grow into an adult who
can manage their work and personal life wel
Firstly, students should plan their study time and homework. This helps them avoid
forgetting important tasks. For example, writing a to-do list in the morning can remind
them to finish science homework and prepare for tomorrow’s lessons.
Secondly, rest and relaxation time should also be planned. Many people are busy with
school or work, so if they don’t plan time to relax, they might feel tired or stressed. For
instance, students can plan to take a 30-minute break after studying to watch a favorite
show or go for a walk.
A person I know who solved a problem in a smart way is my friend Linh. She is one of my
classmates, and she is not only friendly but also very good at solving problems in a calm and
creative way. One time, she helped our group finish an important project when something went
wrong just one day before the deadline.
We were working on a science project for school, and our group had made a PowerPoint
presentation with pictures, videos, and notes. Everything was saved on one member’s USB. But
the day before we had to present, that USB suddenly stopped working. Everyone started to panic
because we had spent weeks working on that project.
Linh stayed calm and told us not to worry. She quickly created a Google Drive folder and asked
each of us to upload anything we still had. Then she stayed up late to put everything back
together, using the shared files and her memory of what the slides looked like. She even added a
few new pictures to make it more interesting.
I think Linh solved the problem in a smart way because she didn’t waste time being upset. She
immediately thought of a solution and used everything we had to rebuild the presentation.
Thanks to her, we were able to present on time, and the teacher gave us a good grade. I was
really impressed by how she stayed positive and focused under pressure. I learned from her that
in stressful situations, it’s important to stay calm and find what you can do instead of worrying
about what went wrong.
First, they need to focus in class and ask questions when they don’t understand
something. This helps them understand lessons more deeply. For example, students who
raise their hands to ask teachers about difficult math problems often remember the
solutions better.
Second, practicing at home and reading books can improve their knowledge. For
instance, a child who reads storybooks every night or solves extra exercises will likely
get higher marks in school.
3.A time I helped a friend was last semester when my close friend Minh had a serious
problem with his health and couldn’t go to school for almost two weeks. He missed a lot of
lessons and homework, so I decided to support him as much as I could.
During that time, Minh had a high fever and had to stay at home to rest. He texted me and said
he was worried about falling behind, especially in Math and English. I knew he was always a
hardworking student, so I wanted to help. Every afternoon after class, I took pictures of my notes
and sent them to him. I also explained some difficult parts through voice messages so he could
listen when he felt better.
On weekends, I even visited him at his house with some handouts and exercises. We studied
together for about an hour, and I tried to make the lessons simple so he wouldn’t feel too tired. I
also brought him some snacks and told him funny stories to cheer him up.
I helped him because I believed that real friends should support each other during hard times.
After he recovered and came back to school, he told me he really appreciated what I did. I felt
very happy and proud because I knew I had made a difference. Helping him didn’t just improve
his studies, but also made our friendship stronger. I think that helping others, even in small ways,
can create big positive feelings for both people.
Firstly, having similar interests and hobbies is very important. When people enjoy the
same activities, they find it easier to spend time together and build a close friendship. For
example, two students who love playing basketball are more likely to become best friends
because they can play together every weekend.
Secondly, trust and kindness are key qualities people look for in friends. No one wants to
be friends with someone who lies or gossips. For instance, many people stay close to
friends who listen to them, give good advice, and keep their secrets.
Lastly, personality also matters. People often choose friends who are cheerful and
positive because it makes them feel happy too.
Why are people friendly with the person they don’t like?
I think there are several reasons why people still act friendly with someone they don’t really like.
Firstly, they want to avoid conflict or arguments. Sometimes, it’s easier to smile and be
polite than to show their true feelings, especially in places like school or work. For
example, an employee might be nice to a colleague they dislike because they don’t want
to create a bad atmosphere in the office.
Secondly, people might act friendly because they believe it’s the right thing to do. They
want to stay professional or keep a good reputation. For instance, a student may talk
kindly to a classmate they don’t get along with to show they are mature and respectful.
Also, in some cultures, being friendly is seen as good manners, even if you don’t like the
person.
4. Describe a time you tried to do something but was not very successfu
I want to talk about a time when I tried to join a dance competition at my university, but it didn’t
go very well. It happened last year during a school festival. My friends and I decided to take part
in a group dance performance because we thought it would be fun and a good way to show our
teamwork.
At first, we were all very excited. We practiced almost every evening for about two weeks. I also
watched dance videos at home to remember the moves better and practiced in front of a mirror.
Sometimes I even stayed up late to practice because I wanted to do well. However, I am not very
good at dancing, and I found it hard to keep up with my friends. My body felt stiff, and I
couldn’t move smoothly like them.
On the day of the performance, I was very nervous. During the dance, I made a mistake in the
middle. I turned the wrong way and bumped into one of my friends. Everyone in the audience
laughed, and I felt very embarrassed. I wanted to disappear at that moment, but I tried to smile
and continue dancing.
Even though we tried to finish the performance, I knew it didn’t look smooth. After the
performance, I felt upset and thought I had let my team down. But my friends told me not to
worry because it was just for fun, and we still enjoyed the experience together. This taught me
that practice is very important, and next time, if I join another performance, I will prepare more
carefully and maybe ask someone who’s good at dancing to help me improve
5️⃣ What kinds of things do children usually feel very hard to do?
In my opinion, there are some things that children often find very difficult.
Firstly, managing their time well is a big challenge. They may find it hard to balance
studying, playing, and resting. For example, some kids spend too much time watching
cartoons and then rush to finish homework late at night.
Secondly, making decisions on their own can be tough because they don’t have much
experience. For instance, choosing which subject to focus on or which club to join at
school can make them feel confused and worried.
To begin with, doing well in school is a big goal for most children. They want good
grades to make their parents proud and to have a better future. For example, many
students study hard to get high scores in exams or win school competitions.
many children work hard to be good at making friends and building relationships. They
want to be liked and accepted by their classmates. For example, a child may try to join in
group games or help others so they can have more friends at school.
In my opinion, people face many challenges in their personal lives that can make them feel
stressed or worried.
Firstly, financial problems are very common. Many people struggle to pay for their daily
needs like food, rent, or education. For example, someone might feel anxious if they lose
their job and have no money to support their family.
Secondly, relationship issues also happen a lot. Arguments with family members, friends,
or partners can cause sadness or anger. For instance, a person may find it hard to
communicate with their parents, which leads to misunderstandings.
Finally, health problems can be a big challenge because they affect both the body and the
mind.

So, I made a schedulf ere I studied for 45 minutes, then took a short break to walk, stretch, or

invigorated and focused.
In the end, this method helped me a lot. I got better results in my exams, and I felt more
confident. I was really content with how things turned out.
In the future, I will keep using this balanced study method. I want to take care of both my mind
and body so I can keep improving and live a better life.
7 Famous person
One famous person in my country is Trấn Thành. He is one of the most popular celebrities in
Vietnam. He is well known as a TV host, actor, and comedian. know him because he appears in a
lot of famous shows, movies, and even on social media.
Trấn Thành is a very versatile person because he can do many different things. He can act very
well in movies, host TV programs smoothly, sing songs, and even tell funny jokes that make
people laugh so hard. I think he is really talented because he always does an excellent job in
whatever he tries
Now, I still follow him on social media like Facebook and Instagram. I really admire him
because he is talented, hardworking, and very creative. He has inspired many young people in
Vietnam with his speeches and positive energy
What I like most about Trấn Thành is his resilience. In the past, he faced some challenges and
criticism in his career. But instead of giving up, he worked even harder and proved his talent to
everyone. Now he is not only successful but also respected by many people for his hard work
and positive attitude.
One of my favorite memories is watching his movie Bố Già. It was a very emotional and
meaningful film. I watched it with my family, and we all cried during some touching scenes.
That movie shows how amazing he is, not only as an actor but also as a director and storyteller
who wants to send deep messages through his work.
If I have a chance to meet him one day, I would feel very excited. I would tell him how much I
admire him and how his work has made me and many others happy. I would also ask to take a
photo with him as a memory. Finally, I would thank him for bringing positive energy and
meaningful entertainment to Vietnamese TV and movies.
. Who are the people that tend to have the most influence on young individuals today?
I think there are a few types of people who have a big influence on young individuals nowadays.
Firstly, celebrities and social media influencers play a huge role because young people
see them online every day. They often copy their fashion style, behavior, and even
opinions. For example, many teenagers try to dress like their favorite K-pop idols or use
the same makeup products they promote on Instagram.
Secondly, teachers and parents also have a strong influence because they are close to
young people in real life. For instance, a student may choose a career in teaching or
medicine because their parents encouraged them or because they admire a teacher at
school.
✅ 2. What are the challenges people face when trying to follow in the footsteps of someone
they admire?
I believe there are several difficulties when people try to be like someone they look up to.
First, they may feel a lot of pressure to achieve the same level of success. This can lead
to stress or disappointment if things don’t go as planned. For example, a young athlete
may feel upset if they can’t win medals like their sports hero.
Second, they might not have the same opportunities or resources as the person they
admire. For instance, someone who wants to become a famous singer might not have
enough money for music lessons or recording equipment.
Also, people sometimes lose their own identity when they try too hard to copy others.
Describe a person you study or work with who is successful in his/her life (Dài
hơn)
I want to talk about my classmate at university whose name is Lan because I think she is a very
successful person even at a young age.
I first met her in my first year when we worked together on a group project. From the beginning,
I was really impressed by her confidence and her excellent communication skills. She was the
team leader, and she organized everything perfectly. Lan is very smart—she always gets high
marks and has won several scholarships for her outstanding academic performance.
Besides studying, Lan is also very active in extracurricular activities. She has joined many clubs,
volunteered for charity programs, and even became the president of the English club at school.
On top of that, she runs a small online business selling handmade jewelry and skincare products.
I don’t know how she manages her time so well, but she does everything with passion and
energy.
I think Lan is successful because she has clear goals, works very hard, and never gives up, even
when things get tough. She’s also very kind and often helps her classmates with their studies.
In the future, I’m sure she will achieve even more. I believe she will have a great career,
probably as a businesswoman or a leader in some big company. For me, she’s not only a talented
student but also a role model who inspires me to try harder in my own life.
. What role does education play in shaping a person’s future?
In my opinion, education plays a very big role in shaping someone’s future and success.
First, it gives people the knowledge and skills they need for their careers. For example,
doctors, teachers, and engineers all need years of study before they can do their jobs
properly.
Second, education also teaches important life skills like teamwork, communication, and
time management. For instance, students who do group projects learn how to work with
others and share ideas, which helps them in future jobs.
Finally, a good education opens doors to more opportunities. People with higher
education often have more choices and can earn better salaries.
To begin with, family values teach children how to respect others and follow social
rules. For example, if parents teach their kids to say “thank you” and “sorry,” the
children are more likely to be polite and well-mannered in public.
Secondly, family values guide people’s decisions as they grow up. For instance,
someone raised in a family that values education will probably work hard in school and
aim for a good career.
Finally, family values provide emotional support and help people deal with challenges.
When a person faces difficulties, their family’s advice often influences how they handle
the situation.
What challenges do young people face when trying to establish themselves in the
workforce?
Young people face many challenges when they start working.
Firstly, they don’t have much experience, so it’s harder for them to get good jobs. For
example, a student who just graduated may not have enough skills for some positions
Secondly, they face high expectations from employers and society. For instance, young
workers are sometimes pressured to succeed quickly, which can be stressful.
First of all, they need to have strong communication skills because a leader has to
explain their ideas clearly and listen carefully to team members. This helps avoid
misunderstandings and makes everyone feel valued. For example, in a company, a
good leader will discuss plans with their employees and ask for their opinions before
making decisions.
Secondly, they must be confident and able to make quick decisions even in difficult
situations. People expect leaders to stay calm and take action when there’s a
problem. For instance, during the pandemic, many leaders had to make tough choices
to protect their workers and keep their businesses running.
Finally, I think a great leader also needs to be kind and supportive. They should
motivate their team and help them grow. For example, a teacher who encourages
students to try new things can inspire them to achieve their goals.
1. What are some challenges people face when trying to adapt to a new culture or
environment?
I think moving to a new place or country can be very challenging for most people.
Firstly, the language barrier is often the biggest problem. If someone doesn’t speak the
local language well, it’s hard to make friends, find a job, or even do simple things like
shopping. For example, an international student in France might feel lonely because they
can’t join conversations easily.
Secondly, cultural differences can make people feel uncomfortable or confused. For
instance, food, clothing, and even greetings may be very different from what they are
used to.
Lastly, some people feel homesick because they miss their family, friends, and familiar
surroundings.
2. What do you think are the biggest challenges for students studying in a foreign country?
Studying in a foreign country sounds exciting, but it can also bring many difficulties.
The first challenge is homesickness. Being far from family and friends can make
students feel lonely and sad. For example, many international students call their parents
often because they miss home so much.
The second challenge is financial problems. Living abroad is expensive, and students
may struggle to pay for rent, food, and school fees. For instance, some students take
part-time jobs to earn extra money, but this makes it hard to focus on their studies.
Another problem is adjusting to new teaching styles, which can be very different from
their home country.
3. What are the challenges that businesses encounter when they expand into international
markets?
I believe businesses face many challenges when they try to grow in other countries.
Firstly, they need to understand the laws and regulations in the new country. For
example, a company may face legal issues if they don’t follow local business rules or tax
systems.
Secondly, cultural differences can affect their success. For instance, a food company
may need to change recipes to match local tastes, like making less spicy food for markets
where people prefer mild flavors.
Finally, language and communication problems can make it harder to manage teams in
different countries.
