Job Summary:
The Area Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing the sales performance and operational efficiency of multiple
retail outlets within Karachi. This role ensures that each store meets its sales targets, maintains brand standards, and
operates smoothly. Key responsibilities include managing store teams, conducting cash and operational audits,
monitoring inventory levels, executing sales strategies, and ensuring compliance with company policies. The Area
Sales Manager will also be accountable for regular cash audits, ensuring financial accuracy and integrity at each
outlet, while supporting the growth and profitability of the shoes and bags retail business in the region
S.no Job Responsibilities
1 Sales & Revenue Management
• Achieve and exceed sales targets across all assigned retail outlets
• Analyze sales performance per store; identify trends, challenges, and opportunities.
• Develop and implement local sales strategies to increase store profitability and footfall.
2 Retail Operations Oversight
• Ensure smooth daily operations at all retail locations.
• Enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) across stores.
• Conduct regular store audits to ensure cleanliness, merchandising, and customer service standards.
• Train, supervise, and motivate store-level staff (Branch Managers, Sales Executives Stock Boys).
3 Inventory & Stock Control
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimal stock availability.
• Coordinate with warehouse and supply chain for timely restocking.
• Manage inter-store transfers to balance inventory effectively.
4 Promotions & Marketing Execution
• Coordinate with marketing to roll out promotions and product launches.
• Ensure timely setup of promotional materials and visual merchandising as per brand guidelines.
5 Customer Experience & Complaint Handling
• Ensure customer service excellence across all outlets.
• Handle escalated customer complaints and ensure effective resolution.
• Implement customer feedback mechanisms to drive continuous improvement.
6 Cash Handling & Cash Audit
• Conduct regular and surprise cash audits at each outlet to ensure proper handling of daily cash.
• Reconcile POS system data with physical cash and bank deposits.
• Investigate discrepancies and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.
• Ensure all stores follow SOPs for daily cash closing, deposits, and petty cash handling.
• Train store managers on accurate cash reporting and financial discipline
7 Reporting & Analysis
• Prepare and submit, stock, and audit reports to senior management monthly.
• Analyze sales data to drive operational and promotional decisions.
• Highlight risks, opportunities, and performance gaps based on audit findings.
Job Competencies:
Qualification Bachelor’s degree in, Accounting, Experience 05 to 06 Years
or Business Administration At least 4 years of Management Experience
Knowledge & Skills
• Proven retail sales and operations management experience
• Proficiency in POS system, MS Excel and accounting/ERP software (e.g.ERP, Oracle).
• High attention to detail with strong analytical and investigative skills.
• Strong team leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of inventory management systems and return policies.
• Experience with cash audits and financial accountability.
