Q1. Riya, a 24-year-old commerce graduate, noticed that many people in her city struggled to find healthy,
affordable snacks. She decided to start a small business called FitBite, offering home-made, nutritious snack
boxes. Despite initial challenges like lack of funds and customer trust, she managed to grow her business by
using social media and word-of-mouth marketing. Today, FitBite has more than 500 regular customers and 3
employees.
Question:
Based on the above case study, answer the following:
a) Who is an entrepreneur?
b) Identify and explain any two entrepreneurial qualities shown by Riya.
c) How did Riya handle the risks involved in her business?
d) What role did innovation play in Riya’s success?
Q 2 Arjun, a young software engineer, realized that small local grocery stores were struggling to manage
inventory and connect with customers online. He launched a digital platform called SmartKart that allowed
small retailers to list their products, manage stock, and take online orders. In the beginning, he faced
financial risks and uncertainty about how many retailers would adopt the system. He hired a small team of
developers, trained retailers, and set up a customer support system to ensure smooth operations. Within a
year, over 200 stores had joined the platform, and customers praised its convenience.

GreenGlow.For financing the proposition, she used a mix of personal savings, a bank loan, and funds from a
government scheme that supported women entrepreneurs. Today, GreenGlow is a growing brand with both
offline and online presence.
