Step 1: Go to the web browser, type mysql and press enter.

Step 2: Open the official site.

Step 3: Go to the Downloads Menu

Step 4: Scroll down and click the Mysql Community GPL Downloads.

Step-5: Click on MYSQL Installer for Windows

Step-6: Click on Second msi installer.


Step-7: Select on no thanks, just start my download

Step-8: Download will start. Have a ☕ while the software is being downloaded.
Step-9: Click on the setup.
Step-10: Select custom installation

Step-11: Go to MySQL Servers.


Step-12: Click in plus icon until you reach the end of file.

Step-13: Select the MySQL Server 8.0.42 – X64 then Click on right arrow to drag
it.

Step-14: Similar steps will be followed for Applications too.

Step-15: Same thing with MySQL shell


Step-16: Click on next

Step-17: Click on Execute:


Step-18: Click on next 4 times after completion of installation.
Step-19: Set password as admin for easy remembrance.
Step-20: Click next 3 times then click on execute.
Step-21: Click on finish -> next -> finish

Make sure the above two check boxes are checked.


Step-22: Path Setup.
Copy the path. Local Disk c  Program files MySQL Server 8.0  bin  Copy
the path in the address bar.
Step-23: In Windows Search bar type Environment variables and click on open

Step-24: Then follow the steps as it is:


Environment Variables  in System Variables section click on path  then click
on new  Paste the copies file path  click ok 2 times until all the environment
variables window closes.
Clap 👏 for yourselves as you have successfully completed the installation and
path setup process.
Step-25: Open cmd and verify the installation. Type mysql --version.
Note: There are two spaces after mysql keyword

If the version appears then it is successfully installed.


Step-26:
Type :
mysql -u root -p
Then press enter and type the password “admin” or any password which you
had given in the installation process.
