AI Horizon
AI is revolutionizing industries worldwide, yet Malaysia faces a critical gap in AI literacy. AI Horizon is set to change that—it
is Penang’s first large-scale, comprehensive AI event dedicated to educating, inspiring, and accelerating AI adoption
among students, professionals, business owners, and the public.
Despite AI’s growing influence, there is no major platform in Malaysia that actively educates the public on current
advancements, emerging trends, and real-world applications of AI. Public understanding of how AI works—and how it will
shape our future—remains limited.
AI Horizon is the solution. This groundbreaking initiative by Tech Dome Penang, in partnership with the Penang State
Government, the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), the Penang State Education Department
(Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri Pulau Pinang - JPNPP), the Human Resource Development Corporation (HRD Corp), the
Penang Island City Council (Majlis Bandaraya Pulau Pinang - MBPP), and Penang STEM.
Beyond an event, AI Horizon is a movement—a catalyst for education, inspiration, and empowerment. It is designed to
increase awareness and foster a deeper understanding of AI, benefiting the people of Penang and Malaysia. By bringing
together industry leaders, researchers, educators, and the community, AI Horizon will bridge the knowledge gap and
shape the future of AI innovation in the nation.
