Test Development: Conceptualisation, Construction, Item analysis, Test revision,
Standardisation; Psychometric Properties of Tests: Reliability, Validity, Utility.

Unit III: Assessment of Functioning


Methods of Testing: Objective methods, Projective methods, Behavioural assessment
methods, Performance tests and Batteries; Measurement of Psychological Constructs:
Intelligence, Personality, Achievement, Aptitude; Assessment in career and business.

Unit IV: Psychodiagnostic Testing


Clinical and Counselling Assessments: Diagnostic tests, Child tests, Tests for specific
conditions; Neuropsychological Assessments: Assessment of brain damage,
Neuropsychological evaluation and testing; Culture and Testing; Psychological Report.

questions each carrying 5 marks

Establishing a diagnostic assessment centre: students in groups of 5 can propose a plan for
establishing a simulated diagnostic assessment centre for any special population mentioned in
Unit 3 and 4. The report submitted should contain Center Conceptualization (6 Marks),
Assessment Protocol Implementation (8 Marks), Specialized Diagnostic Procedures (4 Marks),
Cultural Competency and Ethical Framework (2 Marks)
