The Green Paradise- Coorg|A relaxing trip to remember

Posted Date: 14 April 2025

Thinking about escaping to a peaceful green hill station with coffee in the
air? Would you like to go somewhere calm and beautiful? I have something
to tell you about Coorg!

How to reach Coorg?

You can take a bus from major cities like Bangalore or Mangalore. If you
enjoy road trips, driving your own vehicle through the winding Western
Ghats is a treat in itself. The roads are scenic, and the cool breeze adds to the
charm.

How to book a hotel?

Hotels and homestays are everywhere in Coorg. Travel apps and websites
give plenty of budget and luxury options. You can also walk into any local
homestay and feel the warmth of Kodaya hospitality. Just choose what fits
your vibe and enjoy the stay.

Where to eat in Coorg?

Coorgi cuisine is rich and spicy. Try the famous Pandi curry (pork curry) if
you're non-vegetarian. Restaurants also serve South Indian staples and coffee
that smells like heaven. Local cafes offer both traditional and continental
dishes, and most meals feel homemade.

Things to do in Coorg
Abbey Falls, Raja's Seat, and the coffee plantations are must-visits. You can
also try river rafting or take peaceful nature walks. For a spiritual touch, the
Golden Temple in Bylakuppe is mesmerizing. Every place feels like a
postcard.

Final thoughts
This trip to Coorg was a perfect break. Cool weather, quiet roads, tasty
food it had everything I needed. If you love nature and a little adventure,
don't think twice. Pack your bags, and let Coorg charm you!
The Magic of Words - Ruskin Bond | My favourite author ever

Posted Date: 14 April 2025

Would you like to read stories that feel like a warm hug? I have something to
share with you about my favourite author RuskinBond!
How did I discover Ruskin Bond?
Ipicked up one of his books from the school library out of curiosity. From the
first page, Iwas hooked. His simple language and love for nature made me
fall in love with reading.

What type of books does he write?

He writes short stories, novels, and essays. Most of them are about childhood,
nature, and life in the hills. His stories are gentle, emotional, and easy to
relate to-perfect for all age groups.

Why do Ilike his writing style?

It's simple but deep. He paints beautiful pictures with words. You can feel the
wind, smell the rain, and see the hills while reading. He doesn't use big
words, but his stories leave a big impact.

Which is my favourite book by him?

"The Room on the Roof" is my favourite. It's about a young boy's search for
freedom and identity. The characters feel real, and the emotions stay with you
even after the book ends.

Final thoughts
Ruskin Bond is not just an author; he's a storyteller who understands the
heart. His books bring comfort, calm, and joy. If you haven't read him yet,
please do. You'll thank me later!

something important to tell you some friendly advice that can make your
trip safe and fun!

How to reach the beaches?

The beaches in Dakshin Kannada, like Panambur and Tannirbbavi, are well
connected by road. You can take a bus, auto, or cab from Mangalore city.
They're just a short ride away, and perfect for a day trip.

What to carry?
Carry light clothes, sunscreen, water bottles, and a beach mat. Don't forget
your sunglasses and a camera. If you plan to swim, pack an extra set of
clothes. Also, keep an eye on your valuables!

Relax, enjoy the sunset, try local snacks, and maybe dip your feet in the
water. You can also ride camels, build sandcastles, or take photos. Some
beaches offer boating and jet ski rides too!
