• HOMEWORK ROOM FOR THE HIGH SCHOOL (Grades 8 - 12)
• EXCURSIONS LEVY for whole Grade Excursions
(Please note that High School subject specific outings, where applicable, are billed separately).

CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT LEVY:


The Capital Development Levy is an annual fee charged per family by the College to create funds to be used to maintain
and develop the College’s grounds and facilities. The Capital Development Levy for 2025 is:
• R4 000 PER FAMILY WITH ONE CHILD enrolled at St Henry’s Marist College.
• R6 000 PER FAMILY WITH MORE THAN ONE CHILD enrolled at St Henry’s Marist College.
The levy may be paid as a lumpsum amount or over ten months.

ALUMNI LEVY – GRADES 10-12


The Alumni Levy is R300 per annum for each student in Grades 10, 11 and 12.

INDEPENDENT EXAMINATION BOARD (IEB) FEES FOR GRADE 12s IN 2025

• We charge the IEB Grade 12 examinations’ fee for the following year to parents’ accounts while in Grade 11.
• The reason is that the College must annually make a significant payment for examination fees to the IEB before their
collection from parents is complete.
• We will therefore levy the following year’s IEB fee in the Grade 11 year at the current year’s cost/s and then charge
any increase portion to parent’s accounts in the Grade 12 year.
• Please see the table below for the 2025 IEB fee structure.

TAKE NOTE OF THE FOLLOWING:

• Please note that for 30 minutes after the normal school closing time, aftercare is not charged for.
Thereafter rates as shown above will apply.

• A casual rate of R150 will be charged to those who only require the Aftercare service for a few hours each week.
This rate will also apply to any ad-hoc arrangements.

• In the interest of ensuring timeous collection of all students registered in the Aftercare – a ‘late collection fee’ of
R150 per hour or part thereof will be levied from 14h45 or 17h15 in accordance with the times in the table above.

Aftercare Fees are payable by debit order, EFT or credit card. Kindly note that should it be necessary to withdraw your
child from the Aftercare, a term’s notice in writing is necessary, or a term’s Aftercare fees in lieu thereof will be levied.
This does not apply to the casual rate.

DISCOUNTS

All discounts are at the discretion of the College, and apply ONLY to School Fees, and not to Boarding, After School Care,
Homework Room fees and levies.
• An early payment discount of 5% on the aforementioned annual school fee only will be allowed if the full annual fee
amount is paid on or before 31 January 2025.
• Sibling school fee discounts are 5% for the second child and 7.5% for the 3rd, 4th or additional children enrolled
thereafter. Sibling discounts do not apply if a sibling receives a Scholarship or Bursary.
• The College will apply any applicable discounts in the following order: (1) Sibling and then (2) Early payment.
• These discounts follow the chronological age of the siblings presently attending the College and are awarded at the
College’s discretion.

STUDENT WITHDRAWALS
• Parents are reminded that a term’s notice in writing is necessary if they intend to transfer a student to another
school; otherwise, a term’s school-fees in lieu of such notice is payable, unless there are extenuating circumstances.
• If a student is not attending St Henry’s next year, parents are requested to inform us of this in writing by
Friday 11 October 2024.
• Notification of the withdrawal of a student should be sent to our Admissions Department via Kerry-Anne Francis
([email protected]).
• We shall acknowledge all notifications of withdrawal in writing by Friday, 18 October 2024. Should you not have
received acknowledgement of your notification by this date, please contact Mrs Francis.

ADDITIONAL NOTES
• Statements of account will be emailed monthly to the email address provided by the parent/guardian to the school.
Statements of account are for record purposes only and fees are not deemed payable on receipt of invoice but are
payable as agreed in terms hereof.
• All procedures and communications concerning the collection of fees will be conducted by the Finance Department.
• Please note that payment of fees can be made via Debit Order, EFT and Credit Card.
• Cash payments cannot be made at the Finance Office but must be made directly into the College’s bank account.
Such payments will incur a 2% handling fee which will charged to the parents’ account.
• Should a debit order fail, an amount of R250 will be levied on the parents’ account for the bank charges thus incurred.
• Interest will be charged on overdue accounts at 2% per month, if not paid by the 1st day of the following month
which fees were due. For example, January fees need to be settled by the 1st of February, February fees to be settled
by 1st of March, respectively each month.
• Payment terms of 10, 11 and 12 months are available on debit order on specified dates as follows: 1st, 10th, 16th,
22nd and 26th of the respective month. If the debit order date falls on a public holiday or Sunday, the debit order
will be on the following business day.
• Payment terms of 10, 11 and 12 months are also available via EFT, if paid over a period of 10 months (interest free),
11 months (interest bearing), 12 months (interest bearing).
• Payment terms on a quarterly basis (termly) are payable in advance on the first Friday of each term.
