his office. But the
complainant was helpless
as she wanted that tender.
Again the next day she
arrived the tehsildar office
but had to wait for hours to
meet the tehsildar but he
did not met her or heard
her as he wanted the bribe.
After two weeks the
complainant was helpless
and she contacted the
tehsildar, he picked up the
call and again demanded
for the bribe of 20 lakh
rupees but this time the
complainant secretly
recorded the conversation.
Instead of Paying, she
kept the evidence
carefully.

AFFIDAVIT
I, Aradhana Sharma D/O of Mr. Dinesh Sharma resident of Nanda Nagar,
Gorakhpur Airport, do hereby solemnly declare and affirm on oath as under,
1. That I am a Contractor under Sadar Tehsil in Nanda Nagar, Gorakhpur.
2. My documents were legally verified , yet the file didn’t move for weeks after
applying for a government road tender worth 2.5 crore rupees.
3. When I visited tehsildar’s office, who casually said “If you want your file
cleared, arrange 20 lakh rupees”.
4. I rejected to pay the bribe but after some time when I was helpless, I again
tried to contact him, he picked up call and again demanded for the bribe of
20 lakh rupees. I even wrote application to explain the same to honourable
Mr. Krishna Chaudhary but no response was received regarding written
application.

I, Rohit Sharma S/O of Mr. Gurunath Sharma resident of Shalimar Paradise,
Betiahata Gorakhpur , do hereby solemnly declare and affirm on oath as under,
1. That I am a Builder of Erays Enterprise, Taramandal Gorakhpur
2. I was present when Aradhana submit her documents under sadar tehsil in
Nanda Nagar,Gorakhpur.
3. I witness that he didn’t take a look over her legally verified documents for
weeks and when she visited again the tehsildar’s office and he demanded 20
lakh rupees as bribe.
4. I saw Aradhana writing the application and explaining the same to Mr. Krisnha
Chaudhary, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Gorakhpur but no response was
received regarding the written Application.

Subject: Urgent complaint against Sadar Tehsil for demanding a bribe of 20 lakh
rupees
Respected Sir,
I, Aradhana Sharma, a contractor of Urban Contruction, Nanda Nagar, Gorakhpur
wish to bring your immediate attention a misuse of power and corrupt motive of Mr.
Anuj Sethi, Sadar Tehsil of Nanda Nagar, Gorakhpur.
Mr. Anuj Sethi has demanded a bribe of 20 lakh rupees in order to pass my tender
which is clear violation of Section 7 of Preventive Corruption Act, 1988. Alongwith
that he has also threatened me if I will not fulfil his demand of bribe, he would not
make it possible to pass my tender.
After his demand for bribe I immediately refused to give him the said amount and left
the tehsildar’s office, but as it was the matter of my work I went again to his office and
despite the submission of the legal verified documents he refused to meet me and
made me wait outside his office for two weeks on a daily basis. I request for
immediate strict legal actions and an impartial inquiry against sadar tehsil Mr. Anuj
Sethi .Furthermore, I request you to personally look into the matter and verify all my
legal dpcuments, and assure me that I would receive my tender project as soon as
possible.
This matter not only concerns the future and well being of all the citizens, but also the
trust of individuals is at stake. I trust that you will take swift and stern action to uphold
justice.
