1. Purpose
This document will be used for the installation and configuration of Mylan controlled and
hosted operating systems to utilize block level shared storage in a vendor supported and
redundant manner.

This document is specific to operating systems that utilize direct access to block level
shared storage arrays through a storage area network or local area network.

HBA Host Bus Adapter. Computer hardware that connects a host

MPIO Multi-Path I/O. Used to define alternate paths to a device for
failover purposes.
