Prompts for Data Analysis

Prompt #A:

Prompt 1 The file above contains the names of 12 students in the first column (or,
Construct a data set with the names of 12 students in the first column).
The subsequent columns (2 to 5) list their scores out of 100 in four
subjects: Mathematics (Column 2), Physics (Column 3), Chemistry (Column
4), and English (Column 5).
Prompt 2 Add a sixth column to calculate the total marks obtained across the four
subjects. And display all the columns in tabular form
Prompt 3 Add a seventh column to calculate the Percentage of marks. And display all
the columns in tabular form
Prompt 4 Add an eighth column of Result where we display PASS/FAIL based on the
Percentage. PASS is displayed when the Percentage of marks is more than
or equal to 40, and FAIL is displayed for the rest of the students
Prompt 5 Add an eighth column of Division. Display: Division is “FIRST” when the
Percentage of marks is more than 60, Division is “SECOND” when the
Percentage of marks is between 50 and 60, Division is “THIRD” when the
Percentage of marks is between 40 and 50, “FAIL” is displayed for the rest
of the students.
Prompt 6 SORT the dataset by column 'Total' in ascending order.

Prompt 7 Filter out only those students who have a Percentage of marks equal to 60.

Prompt 8 Filter out only those students who have THIRD Division.

Prompt 9 Extract only Division columns from the dataframe.

Prompt 10 Extract only Third row from the dataframe.

Prompt 11 Create a new data frame with Name and Division only.

Prompt #B:
The file contains the names of five students in the first column of the first six
rows. The subsequent columns (2 to 4) list their scores out of 100 in three
subjects. Display PASS/FAIL in the 5th column (Grade) based on the following
condition. If the score is higher than 40 for all subjects, write Pass, else write Fail.
