John Ma is the point guard. He is (2) _________________ (young) player on the
team. He is only 13 years old.

Adventure Quest World 4 Review

Adventure Quest World 4 is the fourth edition in the Adventure Quest World series.
Many people asked me, ‘What’s new in this edition? What makes it (1) _____________
________ the other games in the series?’
Honestly, many elements in this game are (2) _____________________ they were in
Adventure Quest World 3. The name of the king is still Ken and the country is still called
Ever Kingdom. Even the items you collect are similar. As usual, notice that some items
may look (3) _____________________, but no two items are identical. For example,
the knight’s sword looks (4) _______________ the prince’s, but they are not the same.
There are a few small differences in this game though. The previous games had over
100 monsters, while this one only has about 75. So, this game has
(5) _____________________ monsters _____________________ previous games.
Also, I thought I would need more than a week to finish the entire game, but it turned
out that it only took five days. It took (6) _____________________ time to finish
_____________________ I thought it would.
There is one really great quest that you must try. It is called ‘The Heart of the Lion’. This
quest gives (7) _____________________ experience points of all the quests. Normally,
when you finish a quest, you receive about 20 to 30 experience points. This quest gives
you at least 50 experience points, so it’s really worth doing. ‘The Heart of the Lion’ also
has (8) _____________________ monsters. You could hardly see a monster on your
way to the exit of the maze! It does give (9) _____________________ money of all the
quests though. If you need to buy weapons and other items, you can redo this quest
again and again, or try some other quests that give (10) _____________________
money _____________________ this one.
So, what is my opinion of the game? I love it! It is (11) _____________________ fun
_____________________ any game I have played.

Using too much, too many, too little, too few and
enough

You are writing an email to a cinema. Complete your email by

underlining the correct words.

Dear Happy Time Cinema Manager,

I am writing to you to complain about a recent experience I had at your

cinema.
First of all, I think that the snacks at the snack bar cost
(1) (too many/too much) money. For example, a bar of chocolate costs
more than $50. This is totally unacceptable. Also, the popcorn I bought was
not even good. It had (2) (too many/too much) salt and not
(3) (enough/too much) butter. It tasted weird.
Furthermore, there are (4) (too few/too many) good seats at your cinema.
It is very difficult to see the screen from most of them. Also, you played
(5) (too many/too much) ads before the film. There were almost 30 minutes
of ads!
During the film, there were (6) (too few/too many) people using their
smartphones. It was very distracting. Also, there were not
(7) (enough/too much) loudspeakers in the cinema, so I could not hear what
the actors and actresses were saying most of the time.
I needed to go to the toilet during the film. There was (8) (enough/too little)
light in the aisles to see and I nearly tripped over someone. There were also
(9) (too few/too little) toilets. I was in the queue for more than 15 minutes.
To make things worse, there was not (10) (enough/too much) toilet paper.
It was lucky that I brought a pack of tissue paper with me.
The only good thing I can say about my experience is that the seats in the
cinema were at least comfortable. I had (11) (enough/too much) room to
stretch my legs and relax.
I hope that you will consider making some changes in future to make your
cinema better.

Sincerely,
______________

Consolidation

You have found some information about three restaurants. Read the
information and complete the email to your cousin. Underline the correct words
and fill in the blanks with the correct form of the words in brackets.
Kelly’s Diner The Big Bistro Little Italy
Set dinner price $98 $148 $188
Location Tuen Mun Wan Chai Tsim Sha Tsui
Type of food American French Italian
Promotions None None Free drink refills
Service charge 5% 10% 15%
Food rating

Dear Mike,
We can go to one of the following restaurants for your birthday.
Kelly’s Diner has (1) ____________________ (cheap) set dinner price of all three
restaurants, while Little Italy is (2) ____________________ (expensive) of the three.
Their food is pricey, but it’s (3) ____________________ (close) to your home in
Mong Kok. Kelly’s Diner is (4) ____________________ (far) away.
None of the restaurants are (5) (alike/like). Kelly’s Diner serves American food such as
hamburgers. The Big Bistro is (6) (different from/the same as) Kelly’s Diner because it
serves French food. Finally, Little Italy serves Italian food.
At Little Italy, customers can get free drink refills, which means we’ll always have
(7) (enough/too much) drinks! Ha! Ha! Kelly’s Diner doesn’t have any promotions.
The Big Bistro is (8) (different from/the same as) Kelly’s Diner in the sense that it also
doesn’t have any promotions.
One of the bad things about Little Italy is that they have a 15% service charge. I think
that’s (9) (enough/too much)! The service charge at Big Bistro is
(10) ____________________ (low), while Kelly’s Diner has
(11) ____________________ (small) service charge of all.
Reviewers gave The Big Bistro (12) (the least/the most) number of stars, which means
it had (13) ____________________ (bad) food. On the other hand, Little Italy had
(14) ____________________ (good).
In my opinion, Little Italy seems like a good choice for your birthday, but it might cost
(15) (too many/too much) money. In that case, we could go to Kelly’s Diner as it didn’t
receive (16) (too many/too much) complaints.
Cheers,
