Carbon Purification Model for Factories
Topic Title: Carbon Purification Model for Factories
The Carbon Purification Model for factories is designed to reduce harmful carbon emissions and
other pollutants from industrial exhaust gases before they are released into the atmosphere. It
works by channeling the smoke or exhaust gases through layers of filtration systems such as
activated carbon, HEPA filters, and water scrubbers to trap particulate matter, neutralize harmful
gases, and absorb carbon dioxide. This helps in reducing air pollution, improving air quality, and
mitigating the impact of greenhouse gases on climate change. Uses: - Purifies exhaust gases
before release into the environment. - Reduces the factory’s carbon footprint. - Improves
compliance with environmental regulations. - Enhances the health and safety of communities near
industrial zones.
How to Make: 1. Create a small-scale exhaust chamber using a metal or plastic box. 2. Connect an
inlet pipe to simulate exhaust gas flow (can use smoke from incense sticks for demonstration). 3.
Pass the exhaust through the first chamber filled with water scrubbers to cool and trap dust
particles. 4. Pass the gases through activated carbon filters to absorb carbon dioxide and harmful
chemicals. 5. Add HEPA or fine mesh filters to remove fine particulate matter. 6. Finally, connect an
outlet pipe to release the purified air.
Materials Used:
• Plastic or metal box (for the chamber)
• PVC pipes (for inlet and outlet)
• Water scrubber setup (bucket, water, pump)
• Activated carbon granules
• HEPA or fine mesh filters
• Small DC fan or pump for airflow
• Incense sticks (for smoke simulation)
• Adhesives, sealants, and basic tools
