Materials Required

Yarn: (you can use any yarn of choice) acrylic worsted weight 4 in 4 colors
-Pink, White, Grey, and Black
Crochet Hook: 2.75 mm (or a hook that fits your yarn)
Stitch Marker
Polyester Fiberfill or stuffing of your choice
Safety eyes: 8mm
Scissors
Yarn Needle to sew head to body or Hot glue gun( I used Hot Glue for mine)
Optional: black eyeshadow and brush for added detail on the eyes
: wire brush to make the “fur” effect

ABBREVIATIONS:

MC: Magic Circle

CH: Chain
SC: Single Crochet
Inc: increase(2sc in same stitch)
Dec: decrease (sc 2 stitches together)
slst: Slip Stitch
ST: Stitch(es)
(…)*n – Repeat stitches in brackets n times

Size
Final measurement for finished plush opossum is around 4/5 inches tall.
Notes:
Body and head are worked separately. You can sew the head to the body or glue it to make it easier.
We will do this before proceeding with the feet so that it is easier to locate where to place the feet.

If adding the no-sew feet gets too complicated you can always make the feet separately and sew or
glue them onto the body.

To make it into a hanging opossum, you can use elastic cord or using yarn of your choice, chain as many
as you want and wrap it/pass it through the loop on the tail.

You can leave the finished product as is or create the “fur effect” by brushing your project with a
wire brush. For added details on the eyes, use black eyeshadow and a brush and do a “winged
eyeliner”.
