Unit Objectives:
At the completion of this unit, students will be able to:

 Convert active sentences into passive and vice versa


 Use appropriate form of tenses in sentences and paragraphs
 Maintain subject verb agreement in sentences

We use active voice when subject becomes
more important than object in a sentence.
Example: I speak English.

We use passive voice when object becomes


more important than subject in a sentence.
Example: English is spoken by me.
