Server: Good evening. May I take your order?

Customer: Yes, I’ll start with the French onion soup, and for my main course, the filet
mignon, medium rare.

Server: Excellent choice. Would you care for a side with that?

Customer: The garlic mashed potatoes, please.

Server: Very well. And to drink?

Customer: Just still water for now, thank you.

Server: Certainly. I’ll place that order right away.

Waiter: Welcome. Have you decided what you’d like this evening?

Guest: I’m still debating between the salmon and the duck. Which would you recommend?

Waiter: The duck is our signature dish—slow-roasted and served with a cherry reduction.

Guest: Sounds amazing. I’ll go with that, then.

Waiter: Wonderful choice. Would you like a starter?

Guest: Yes, the arugula salad, please.

Waiter: And to drink?

Guest: A glass of red wine. Merlot, if available.

Waiter: Absolutely. I’ll have it out shortly.

Server: Good evening. Are you ready to order, or do you need a few more moments?

Customer 1: I think we’re ready. I’ll have the sea bass with roasted vegetables.

Customer 2: And I’ll take the lamb chops, medium.

Server: Would you like to start with any appetizers?

Customer 1: The bruschetta to share, please.

Customer 2: And a bottle of sparkling water for the table.

Server: Excellent. I’ll bring the appetizer out first.

Waitstaff: Good evening. May I tell you about tonight’s specials?

Customer: Yes, please.

Waitstaff: We’re offering a pan-seared halibut with lemon butter sauce, and a vegetarian
risotto with wild mushrooms.

Customer: I’ll have the risotto, but could you make it without cheese? I’m lactose
intolerant.

Waitstaff: Of course. We can prepare it without dairy. Would you like a salad to start?

Customer: Yes, the mixed greens with balsamic vinaigrette.

Waitstaff: Very good. And your beverage?

Customer: Just a glass of iced water.

Waitstaff: Right away.

Hostess: Welcome to La Bella Notte. Are you celebrating a special occasion tonight?

Guest: Yes, it’s our anniversary.

Hostess: Wonderful! We’ll be sure to make it special. Your server will be right with you.

Server: Happy anniversary! May I start you off with something to drink?

Guest 1: A glass of champagne, please.

Guest 2: Same for me.

Server: Excellent. Have you had a chance to look at the menu?

Guest 1: Yes, I’ll have the lobster ravioli.

Guest 2: And I’ll try the duck breast with truffle glaze.

Server: Outstanding selections. I’ll get those drinks started.
