EXPLAIN THE DYNAMICS OF THE TEAM:

After chatting with Nick and his colleagues, I was able to fully understand the dynamics of
Jaguar's Global Aftermarket Transport colleagues, as well as how these dynamics have aided
the team in achieving its goals. After meeting with Nick and his colleagues, I noticed that the
dynamics within the Global Aftermarket Transport colleagues have led to the team's strong
sense of solidarity and help for one another, allowing them to satisfy client demand as
effectively as possible. The whole team interacts with one another based on the customer
service factor, while also considering time and cost. It is evident from Nick and his team's
dynamics that they all share the notion that collaboration and support are critical to
ensuring that everyone's time at work works well and is enjoyable in order to achieve this
crucial goal.

Explain Belbin’s 9 teams roles :

Resource investigator:

Meredith Belbin's team role theory named Resource Investigator as one of the roles. The
Resource Investigator is often an outgoing, energetic, and inquisitive team member who
likes discovering new possibilities and connecting with people. They are frequently good in
networking and can assist the team in gaining access to external resources and information.

In terms of The Global Aftermarket Transport Team dynamics, I would classify the business
analyst role as a resource investigator because they are in charge of working on the
construction and implementation of new systems. As a result, they must be curious in order
to seek out new ideas as they explore opportunities to create new systems for Jaguar's
success, because business analysts have a strong willingness to learn new concepts and
provide input to the team in order for them to implement brand-new methods that will
effectively advance both the team's and the company's performance. This dynamic enables
the team to successfully meet customer demand as newer systems are implemented to
ensure that they can do so while increasing customer satisfaction, which is one of their key
focal points, and factoring in time and cost as they ensure that costs and time are minimised,
which is what this role ensures.

TEAMWORK

The team role theory of Belbin is a paradigm that defines nine different roles that individuals
might perform in a team. Each team member, according to this notion, has a favourite
position or a mix of responsibilities with which they are most comfortable. According to the
notion, a well-functioning team should have a mix of these positions to attain peak
performance. Team members may better appreciate each other's talents and shortcomings if
they understand each other's responsibilities, which can lead to increased communication,
cooperation, and overall team performance.

I discovered that the transport specialist would be designated as a teamworker in Belbin's

nine team roles based on the dynamics of The Global Aftermarket Transport Team because
they are in charge of the back office chores. It follows that the transport specialist in this
team is most likely a teamworker since they are more likely to be social with the team and
support team cohesiveness, resulting in the great communication required for the team to
succeed. The Transport Specialist is likely to examine the team's interpersonal dynamics and
ensure that everyone is interacting effectively so that they can fulfil their objectives of
getting things to the right location at the right time for the least amount of money.
CO-ORDINATOR

Meredith Belbin identified the job of co-ordinator in his team role theory. The Co-ordinator
is a mature, calm, and confident team member who succeeds at bringing people together
and fostering good communication and cooperation. They may be skilled in delegating
duties, resolving problems, and staying focused on the team's objectives. The Co-ordinator
function is frequently seen as a critical leadership position in a team.

Depending on The Global Aftermarket Transport Team's dynamics The network transport
manager should be part of this team because they are obviously tasked with evaluating the
team's performance in terms of how they handle their tasks as well as any daily operations
of the global logistics network. To achieve success in respect to the team's objectives, which
include getting vehicle components to the right location at the right time at the lowest
possible cost in order to maximise profitability, I would deploy the network transport
manager here. The manager is continually watching over the team to ensure that the
objectives are reached. The network transport manager also oversees the activities of the
global logistics network, so they are appropriate for this team role because they are likely to
assign tasks to team members based on their positions in order to successfully accomplish
the goals that The Global Aftermarket Transport Team is in charge of.

PLANT

Meredith Belbin's team role hypothesis named Plant as one of the roles. The Plant is a
creative, unconventional, and inventive team member who can come up with novel
solutions to challenges. They are frequently independent thinkers who love working alone
and may be introverted. The Plant function is very valuable for producing new ideas and
possibilities, yet they may need aid from other team members to develop their ideas into
actual solutions.

In terms of The Global Aftermarket Transport Team dynamics, the function of the Freight
Design and Implementation Analyst matches with this team role of a plant, in my opinion.
This is done so that the Freight Design and Implementation Analyst may develop the global
logistics network, which takes imagination. As a consequence, the goods design and
implementation analyst must be creative, which is consistent with the team job of a plant
since, as previously said, they tend to be creative. This is required since they are in charge of
planning the worldwide logistics network, which may include defining the right flight terms
to be utilised and how they will be carried out. Overall this means that the fright design will
be able to carry out this role effectively.

MONITOR EVALUATOR

Meredith Belbin identified the job of Monitor Evaluator in his team role theory. The Monitor
Evaluator is often an analytical and strategic team member that specialises at honestly and
impartially analysing ideas and proposals. They may be adept in identifying possible issues
and hazards and assisting the team in making sound decisions based on facts and data. The
Monitor Evaluator function is very beneficial in ensuring that the team takes into account all
viewpoints and possibilities before making key decisions.
In terms of The Global Aftermarket Transport Team dynamics, I would state that the Senior
Transport Analyst/transport Analyst function has an impact on the monitor evaluator team
job. This is due to the fact that they must work with the parts transport coordinator to give
help in order to handle any issues that may develop during the transportation of
components. Being a senior transport analyst or transport analyst necessitates the capacity
to make effective and rational conclusions. This is required since they must contribute to
sound decision-making in order to handle any difficulties that may develop when
transferring vehicle parts from one area to another.

SPECIALIST

Meredith Belbin identified the role of specialist in his team role theory. The Specialist is
often a team member with extensive knowledge, abilities, or competence in a certain field.
They are frequently committed to their job and may choose to work alone rather than as
part of a team. The Specialist position is especially beneficial in contributing technical or
specialised expertise to the team, albeit they may need support from other team members
to apply their knowledge to practical situations.

A Parts Transport Co-Ordinator fits into this team job of a specialist in Belbin's 9 team roles,
according to the dynamics of The Global Aftermarket Transport Teams, since they deal with
the team's everyday operational challenges and create solutions. They will meet the criteria
of a specialist in this regard due to their comprehensive knowledge of the subject and the
skills they provide to the team as specialists. The Parts Transport Co-Ordinator will also play
a function in this team job since they have the requisite skills for their specialist position
within the team. This is significant since they must discover quick and effective solutions to
any operational challenges they encounter in order to fulfil their responsibilities properly.

SHAPER

Meredith Belbin's team role theory listed shaper as one of the roles. The Shaper is a
dynamic, demanding, and forceful team member who is driven to achieve outcomes and
move the team ahead. They may excel in taking chances, overcoming difficulties, and
motivating others to act. The Shaper function is very beneficial in pushing the team to reach
its objectives, yet they must be careful not to be overly confrontational or harsh in their
approach.

Because they are at the top of the team structure, the Network Transport Manager's job
contributes to the dynamics of the Global Aftermarket Transport Teams as a shaper. The
Network Transport Manager is in charge of all team management tasks as well as the team's
daily activities on the global logistics network. As a result, the Network Transport Manager
must ensure that the team is working together efficiently. This is vital for the shaper team
job since the Network Transport Manager in charge of the team will want to ensure that
everyone on the Global Aftermarket Transport Team is motivated and dedicated to the
team's goals.
